Faculty in my department are very good .i like the way of their teaching they are ready to entertain your doubts ready to take extra classes
The placements opportunities here are very good, as the college has some of the very best company connections thus helping us to have a bright placement opportunity.
Many scholarships are available you can avail anything one of my friends hot 50000 scholarship from ngo and it is perfect year .so that he can study well .

Dislikes

The internet was a big big disappointed, no wifi in cvr hostes );
I don't like the washing machines provided. they don't work most of the times and not good care is taken for them.
Food i was bit dissatisfied with mess food and bored of it

MY CAMPUS LIFE

Likes

the campus area and infrastructure beauty of big and clean campus.
I love the way prof. teaches and deliver there lectures
clubs functions and sport and bedminton coart

less intraction between junior and senior
the stray animals also there and walk freely
less stores and shops for taking any necessary things

Course Curriculum Overview:

I get this course through my jee advanced rank. I would love to study civil engineering subjects and there real life applications and uses. labs will be conducted timely and all necessary lab equipments will available in the college

Faculty are so friendly , you can ask every question about academics or personal things, majority will understand you.
Fest level is increasing as year passing.
there is so much activities going on college every week so there is so much engagement and social interaction

Dislikes

infrastructure is under progress, some departments are under construction
college in village, so for small thing you have to go 2 to 3 km bihta from college to buy thing or just buy things online

Placement Experience:

In the sixth semester students are eligible for campus placement. The highest placement is nearly 90 lpa and lower is around 6.5lpa. Around 80percent of students placed I am going for a government exam.

A Comprehensive Insight into IIT PATNA

Campus Culture and Social Life : IIT PATNA offers a diverse campus culture , e.g. this year students from 27 states came to IIT PATNA for their academics, but being a new IIT it is still evolving to give more exposure.
Faculty and Mentorship: The professors of IIT PATNA are highly experienced and qualified,(some are included in top 2% scientist in the world).
Placement and Carrier Opportunities: In year 2022, the average package of IIT PATNA was 20lpa , in which CSE avg was 38lpa and mechanical avg was 18lpa . But due to recession it's placement is bit decreased.

Dislikes

Strict Rules and Regulations: After 10 PM, it is not allowed to go out of the hostel (for both boys and girls).
Large Campus Area: You need to have a bicycle here to roaming in the college although free bus service is there but it is often much crowded.
Most common issue with IITs is gender ratio, but IIT PATNA has a decent gender ratio , still it needs improvement.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester,the students become eligible for the campus placements. Recently Samsung company visited our college and hired some people. Last year(2023), the highest package offered was 82.05 lpa from Amazon. Some other top recruiters include Cognizant, Adobe, some consultant companies like Collegedunia,etc Last year then percentage for students getting placed was 98.65% (in CSE) Overall it was 85% . My plan is to clear the Gate entrance exam and pursue higher studies from top institutes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course structure is good they delivered the necessary things the overall experience is good their are regular classes and quizes and assignment but the fee structure and the management is not good .

All about IIT Patna

Likes

Great campus life with good faculties and seniors.
Clubs and sports facilities are very good.
Great Night life and college culture with good weather.

Dislikes

Overall the college is decent but transportation facilities can be improved
Central library is too small for all the students.
Their is no swimming pool and OAT in the campus.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite decent if we talk about the average package it was about 17LPA for B. Tech students. Also it varies according to your branch. The average package of CSE lies in the range of 20-40LPA which is very good.

IIT Patna's Real Analysis

I really liked the clubs and availability of almost each of the clubs anyone wants. There are clubs for Anime, Art, Dramatics, Dance, Music, Cooking, Quiz, Cubes&puzzles, photography, literary club and what not. This makes the college life more fun.
The coding culture is top tier and almost every 2nd student you will meet in 2nd year+ will be deadly in technology. It may be either ML or either CP, almost everyone is up to something even mechanical guys or chemical guys will be doing CP.
Campus life is not so bad, the college is so underrated it's campus life is way better than anyone can imagine. The lush greenery of this college just makes your day better. The well planned designs of buildings and architecture is goated too.

Dislikes

I didn't like the weather specifically, it'll make you lose 300ml of sweat easily (not even kidding). Even in Monsoons the scorching heat is such a pain. The winters are extreme too and in winters you will have to experience that 10 centigrade temp.
The food quality is something you will have to adjust with, the food is worse as any other IIT or college (unless it's some thapar or expensive college). You'll need to get habitual with water and minor inconveniences in food so one needs to adapt.
The college is huge, people need campus life and a big college. You get everything here but when you need to drive your cycle 3km to acad block in sun. You will wish it was some Bangalore college with 19 acre campus because 503 acres is huge man.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement after semester 7. The data for 2023-2024 is not here so here is the data for 2022-2023. Many companies including some MAANG - Microsoft, Amazon, Google comes to the campus. Some other companies including Atlassian, Sprinklr,Goldman sachs, Morgan stanley are regularly hiring companies. Majority of these big companies mentioned here, almost each of them hire 10+ interns every year. Last year the highest package was 1.37 Crore and 6 people had CTCs >1crore. Average package was 15.73 LPA overall including all branches. While CS average package was 35.57 LPA and Electrical had 24.85LPA as average. 58% was overall placements including all branches and branchwise it varies - 98.6% for CS, 83.6% for Electrical etc. My plan after getting the degree is for doing a job or who knows maybe pursue higher studies further.

Overview of IIT Patna

The infrastructure of the college is pretty nice , There is sports facility of each & every sport , fully equipped labs , music room , dance room , every other activity or hobby or for professional training , you name it the college have it.
Students community is very good & helping , there are people from all over India , Lot of cultural activities & celebration of every festival. Students are dedicated towards their professional Growth & helps each other a lot
There are a lots of fest events conducting by the students . Which makes college life enjoyable . The faculty here is chill & good they help you in every possible way they can. The Attendance pollicy is also chill.

Dislikes

The campus is situated in bit outskirts of the city which makes transportation bit painful , Although college provides Daily bus services & you can get buses from campus gate , besides this you will get trains also .
The gender ratio is favoured towards to females as of any other engineering colleges , the ratio is of 80:20 , although the campus lacks girls but the hostel life is worth without them
There is lack of market near campus , like you won't get much near the campus , although living in campus wont cause you trouble you can get all you want for daily needs in campus but there is lack of marketplace

Placement Experience:

The college placements are wonderful . With companies like Samsung , E&Y , JP Morgan & many other mncs & companies offering a average placement of 25-32 lpa & highest crossing 70lpa for domestic packages. besides this many alluminis are working on psus based on gate score

IIT Patna - What's in it for you

Likes

The experience is very raw and you get to experience a lot.
The fests are fun and you can participate in the process of them easily.
Placement opportunities are well enough for people to rely on.

Dislikes

Academic pressure is not high, but the system is very old and boring.
There are limited electives in college and a lot of compulsory courses.
For non electrical and CS branches the placement and internship scenario is pretty bad

Placement Experience:

The placements are pretty decent as long as you are aware of them happening and preparing well. They are particularly good for electrical and CS. For core branches, the placements are not good. You will struggle to find pay above 15.

IIT Patna : A Dream College

The professors are very good , supportive in nature.
The course curriculum is advanced and based on industry demand .
Flexibility to attend the class and live lectures are very good.

Dislikes

There is no scholarship for this course .
There is no participation in college society
The fee for this course is quite expensive

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students are eligible for placements. Mote than 200 companies every year visited to college including Microsoft, Deloitte, TCS, Accenture etc. In 2024 more than 250 offers are made. Average package for Btech student is INR 17LPA and overall placement percentage is 86%.

Likes

Professors are very supportive having great teaching methodology.
We get the facilities of IITs like Library, sports ground etc
Atmosphere is quite impressive having competitive environment with the Students of different streams.

Dislikes

Management isn't quite well and the campus immersion time is very short.
They used to collect fees before end semester exams.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester students were eligible for internships. And from 6th semester students were eligible for placements. Many MNCs come and recruit here like Deloitte,Wipro, TCS with an avg package offering 8lpa but it can be vary based upon your skills. As this is new course hence no new placements stats we get what I shared is the information from college.
