Faculty in my department are very good .i like the way of their teaching they are ready to entertain your doubts ready to take extra classes
The placements opportunities here are very good, as the college has some of the very best company connections thus helping us to have a bright placement opportunity.
Many scholarships are available you can avail anything one of my friends hot 50000 scholarship from ngo and it is perfect year .so that he can study well .

Dislikes

The internet was a big big disappointed, no wifi in cvr hostes );
I don't like the washing machines provided. they don't work most of the times and not good care is taken for them.
Food i was bit dissatisfied with mess food and bored of it

POV of an IITP student

IIT patna has a brilliant set of faculties and infrastructure.
IIT patna campus placements have been improving year by year and it stands above all the gen 2 iits.
the coding culture of iit patna is tremendous.

Dislikes

sports infrastructure is still isn't upto the mark.
not so strong of a alumni network since it's a new iit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always had an interest in the world of technology in computers, so obviously when the opportunity to study CSE in an IIT popped up, I took it with both hands. Our courses are to the point and designed keeping in mind the relevant skills in today's tech world. The only drawback is that after all these years of revolution in education, we still got to study all the common subjects in our 1st year of B.Tech. There are two exams each semester with frequent quizzes in between.

I liked fest of our college. we have three main fest sport fest Infinito , tech fest Celesta and cultural fest Anwesha.
New library that is in building process looks very awesome also our college provides us with computer center with acess to many software that can be useful for students
our campus has also very good faculties that halps student in various things

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

7th smester students are eligible for campus placement and 5th semester students are eligible for campus internship. From 2024 passout students approx 60% students got placed with average package of 22 lpa.

One of the most curated course curriculum, the best in the 2nd gen IITs
Beautiful campus but still room for development
The environment inside the campus is plasent and beautiful

Dislikes

Mess food can be of better quality. There is the room for improvement, Breakfast would be amazing but lunch and dinner is almost like poor.
Hostels are too small for accomdation, currently institute is quite over populated. 2 students are forced to live in a room designed and constructed for single accomdation
Lesser amount of industry exposure and campus full potential is under usage, Also the number of eating outlets and options outside the campus for South indians are very low.

Placement Experience:

Students will be eligible for internships from 5th semseter , usually they do summer internships in the summer break of 3rd year. from 7th semester students will be eligible for FTE roles. U can find the details of companies and offers in official TPC page

A Diamond in Bihar - IIT Patna

Likes

Infrastructure- as our college is 2nd gen IIT, The Infrastructure is very good and developing more.
Fests and Clubs - Here you can find every club and societies suitable to you .
Facilities - here you are proved good hostel facilities and also good academic ones.

Dislikes

Messfood here is in a range of okay to bad. You will get bored out of it and only some days it is worth eating.
Location - as the college is 30 km from Patna we are not able to take benifits of a city

Placement Experience:

As it is a second gen iit , campus placements arr far good , in our branch cse we have avergae package around 38 lacs. Many top tech companies recuots from on campus like google/ infosys/ sprinklr . Almost 90 - 95 percent students are placed and rest opt for higher education

Life at IIT Patna

Likes

A large campus (about 500 acres) with a decent level of greenery something not to be found in cities, free healthcare facilities, internet facilities in hostels through LAN.
Great coding culture and a lot of clubs and activities for students to do based on their interests.
Nice peer group with people coming from different corners of our country. Helps you to learn about the diverse cultures present in our nation.

Dislikes

Not so good hostel mess, less options of food outlets inside campus.
Not so good sports facilities compared to other IITs.
College located about 40km from the main city Patna in Bihta. Nothing much around the college.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are pretty decent. The average placement was around 23 LPA. Companies visit for both IT and core placements in our campuses. Companies like Google, Oracle, Atlassian, Samsung, Mercedes, Goldman Sachs have visted us in the past years. The highest CTC offered was 137 LPA in the season of 2021-2022.

Navigating the depths of "Experience"

High Qualified Professors to teach who have a long experience of teaching and expert in their field and almost know everything about their subjects
Provide detailed classes with each doubt solution and option to see recorded classes so that easy to revise and can complete attendance by watching recorded classes.
Provide 15 days campus immersion, so that we can meet new friends and provide chance to participate in other fields like games, singing, etc

Dislikes

Class size is huge so sometime difficult to ask the doubts and doubts session are so long, get very less chance to ask question in detailed way.
Only 15 day campus immersion that is very short time so fails to connect new people and fails to explore new opportunities with college and there is very busy schedule.
Most of professors are used to teach in physical classes so face difficulties to take classes online and sometimes due to network we have to cancel the classes and postpone to next, it gets difficult to take many classes a day

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible from 5th semester. Highly reputed companies visits the university during placements like google, apple, Microsoft, Wipro, etc. and average packages are around 27 lakh per year and highest packages are above 1 crore. Percentage of students getting placements is above 80% and many students have plans to study further so they don't apply for the placements. My plane is to prepare for GATE exam to get admission in IIT for MSc and MTech to get admission physically and to find new opportunities for my life

IIT Patna - one of the best place to study engineering

The college campus is fabulous. Classrooms and lecture halls are fully furnished.
Various clubs like NJACK and MoodBoard to name a few provide a community of like minded individuals for any kind of subjects you are interested in.
Teaching curriculum is at par with industry and industry collaborations are there too.

Dislikes

Sometimes administration is a little but slow and inefficient
Bus facilities are not upto par, but things are improving

Placement Experience:

Placement of are top notch. Highest package was 96,00,000. Many big companies hire from the college, namely Microsoft Google etc. international placements also occur such as in Tokyo, Japan, London, Redmond, etc

there are various things i like in iit patna like iit patna is known for quality eduction,experienced faculity,research opportunities etc.
the campus likely offers modern facilities including well equpipped labarotries,libraries,and other resource to support your academic persuits.
iit patna offering various clubs socieities and extra currcular activities for personal grouth.and college environment is awesome.

Dislikes

there are not many things to dislike iit patna but there are one two point like heavy workload the academic workload of iit patna can be quite demanding.
the competetive nature of the institute might lead to a high pressure environment .
while the college might have strong academic programs,there could be limited exposure to industry or practical applications of the knowledge gained,leading to a gap between academic and real world scenarious.

Placement Experience:

you know iits are the biggest institutions in our country so placement support is hundred percent. you can eligible form placement after third year. in iit patna in 2024 there are 80% student placed in computer science and rest is doing startup and go for higher studies. my plane is getting placed and i am preparing for my placement . and more thing the placement cell of iit patma is very active for there childrens.

Analytical Review of IIT Patna

College provides good placement and Internship opportunities. Hundreds of national and international companies visit our campus for placement and internship drives. College has 100% placement record with average package around 20LPA.
College has good infrastructure and well equipped classrooms and laboratories.
Faculties are very experienced and experts in their respective fields.

Dislikes

Administration is sometimes slow. Things take more than expected time to happen, specially the paperworks.
Mess food needs to be improved a little bit.
There is some shortage of hostels in the campus currently.

Placement Experience:

College provides 100% placement to its students. Hundreds of national and international companies visit campus for placement and internship every year. Average CTC is around 20 lakhs per annum for placement and average stipend is around 50 thousands per month for internships.

Life at IIT Patna

Likes

The hygiene is well maintained, in hostels and academic area both. The Gymkhana Building is well equipped for various sports.
The student fraternity is very helpful and engaging.
The Training and Placement Cell is very competent, ensuring good placements despite the current recession.

Dislikes

The faculty is self absorbed and hypocrites.
The location is very far from the main city, so options are limited.
A lot of unfinished infrastructure. The ones that are finished are amazing though.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 7th semester. The placement is usually amazing with average CTC going as high as 27 lakhs INR (on campus). This year, however, it has dipped a bit because of recession. Still, we have had offers from companies like Atlacian, Sprinkler, BPCL, etc. Highest package so far is 57 Lakhs this year on campus. I plan on getting an MBA after the course.
