- The faculty members of our department are very helpful and all are experienced teachers and their teaching methods are also good.
- The campus of the university is very beautiful and calm.
- Hostel facilities are also very good, the hostel infrastructures are very good and the hygiene is also well maintained in the hostels .
Dislikes
- The over stress because of the exam pattern
- Even though the university excells in academic excellence but the pressure is too much high. More extra curricular activities may nitiated.
- Not much funded nternships are provided by the University or departments.

All the subjects and labs are fully relevnt to the course and everything' is sequencely managed accordingly to the department. As in our mechanical in firat year they mainly give importance to workshop

Placement Experience:
The campus placement in our university is average but this year max of the students are getting placed irrespective of the department with very decent packages and many companies are willing to visit to give opportunities to the students.

The course curriculum is a bit hectic with classes from 9 am upto 5.30 and sometimes extra classes till 7-7.30.We have 4 exams within a semester comprising of 2 sessional exams and a midsem and endsem

Course Curriculum Overview:
All the courses are relevance to the departments and subjecs and electives are very much related to the course like in our mechanical the workshop is very important and they teach us to the last time and how to complete it on time

- College environment is very good as the campus is surrounded by trees
- Infrastructure of the college is very good and the classrooms are well built
- Faculty of the college is very helpful and there are many facilities

- Hostel food is not so good at many times , it is mostly same for all the days
- Some people spit around in the campus , which makes it dirty and not hygienic for people
- Placement is average , sometimes its not even above 50 percent , so placement is quite average
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are average , if I'm talking about Cse department , it is around 50 percent and average placement is around 4lpa. So average placements as the company those visit are mostly looking for freshers who would take this amount of money only.
The Placements can be better if some big companies visit the campus , only that's the solution.

- Too many exams per semesters .There is no industrial exposer
- Average faculties and grading system is also not good
Placement Experience:
Students are allowed to sit at placement after 6th semester. For this year no. Of company visit are 4 for my department and students placed around 6 . Highest package this year is around 12 lacs. Out of 70 students only 40 are eligible to appeared in placement and from which only 6 are selected. To apply to study abroad.

The college placement is better before the corona but after the corona it is gaining back its form and this year we have heard a good placement report form our senior that L&T OIL INDIA all are giving on campus placement and many of our senior get their off campus placement from ongc oil ISRO etc

- Green campus, clean, hostels alloted, Faculties qualified almost everyone having phd degree. Teaching method good.Also cleanliness of campus . Infrastructure is quite good.Lab facilities instruments all departments.Culture of North east + othrombined
- Placement cell is there.Everyone given double rooms.Those who are not allotted hostel are alloted temporary hostels.University take care of them too . Teachers encouraging and regular evaluation of 4 tests a semester.Every evaluation done fair
- Teachers are hardworking.Seminars hold regularly to encourage students participate in different things.Inside campus cafeteria,shopping complex,gym, libraries every facilities are there with 24*7 electricity and water
Dislikes
- Placement not very good.Just average.Recession might be the reason
- Schedule is hectic especially in 1st and 2nd semester.Like 9.10 to 5.30 in between one small 20 min tea break and 1 hr lunch
- Hostel Infrastructure is not very great not bad for some hostels.But still manageable

After 6th sem students become eligible for campus placements

- The campus is really beautiful and equiped with facinating areas
- Campus Life is sos good . You will really enjoy a lot here.
- Infrastructure is really good every department has its own building.
Dislikes
- Campus is good but very strict rules are present here.
- Faculty is really strict the will give you w on less attendance and you have to repeat your whole year.
- Infrastructure is good but everything construction in campus gave you hedeach.
Placement Experience:
The minimum eligibility for campus placement is your cgpa should be above then 7.0 and placement happens to cs/ ece and some core branches not all branches place here through campus placement.
Like civil does'nt place at all.

there is no such type of placement in which 80% people got placed , here 20% studentgot place with limited branches and company . so placement scenerio needs to be improved, imy goal is to start my own company as a start up.

One of my friends attended Tezpur University. His experience with the university has not been good. Here are some of the things that she shared with me.
- The administration there is headed by only one person and the VC is not cooperative.
- You will get in trouble if any of your batch mates get involved in any misbehavior.
- Attending classes there is very important and otherwise, you may not be allowed to do your internships.
- The library is inadequate. The wifi facility on campus is also not that good.
- The placement record of the institute is average. The average CTC offered at the recent placement drive was 3.5 LPA.
So, if you have other better options go for it.

What is your review of mechanical engineering department, Tezpur University?

One of my friends studied Mechanical at Tezpur University. Let me share his experiences and knowledge about the college. He, being a student there, will know the intricacies of the college and how they function.
- Faculty: The mechanical department hosts a really good faculty. Most of them are good at teaching and all of them have a great research-oriented mindset.
- Projects: About 80% of the projects are based on numerical simulations. These include optimization, analysis, modeling, developing CFD solvers, Comsol modeling and the rest are mainly experimental.
- Specialization: The department mainly started its M.Tech course in 2013 with a specialization in Applied mechanics. The Thermal and Fluid Engineering specialization began in 2016 and from 2018 onwards, another specialization in Machine Design was also started. The department is definitely growing with time.

Overall, the mechanical department at Tezpur University is not as good as IITs but it is much better than many private as well as newly built NITs in the country.
