Which should I choose, CSE at Nirma University or ECE at NIT Silchar?

IIIT Guwahati and NIT Silchar are both institutes of national importance. The NIRF Ranking for Engineering 2020 is 66 and 46 respectively. If you want to join the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) branch, IIIT Guwahati is the only choice because NIT Silchar does not offer this branch. But for others, like Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), NITS will be the best selection. Even the alumni of NITS are biased towards their institute. The campus of IIIT Guwahati is new. The institute is well-equipped but yet far behind NITS. IIT Guwahati has a weaker base of alumni. The reason is that it came into existence after NITS. Fees and Financial Aid:

In. First year from admission first we have to pay the tution fees with 5 thousand jossa fees 75000 rs then before taking the hostel we should pay the 24500rs hostel fee . If student don't have family income less than 5laks he or she don't get refund but if they have below 5laks rs family income certificate then they will get a refund of almost 25000 rs and if student have below 1 lakhs income he or she will get almost 50000 refund before the end of the whole semester. For students of 2 nd ,3rd and 4th year btech course should pay the same amount like l mentioned before for freshers they have to pay 70k tution fee+24500 mess fees each semester registration if student don't come under below 5laks income or 1 lakhs income. Below 5 lakhs income students have to pay 38000tution fee+24500 mess fees and below 1 lakhs students pay 8000 tution fees +24500 mess fees.

The course that we are curriculum to study provides us knowledge in the field of engineering which would help us to become a good engineer in the future. It also provides us mental strength , helps in the build up of patience.

I am a student of NIT Silchar and my name is Shivam Purbey and i am paying 67000 per year not including the mess fees . I am a OBC student and my family income is below 1 lakh so i pay Rs 0 for tuition fees. The mess fees for per year is Rs 45000.The college has taken advance fees Rs 20000 which will be refunded after the completion of B .Tech . The college has taken fees 11000 per semester for all other fees like registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees, medical fees, gym fees, water fees, TV fees, mess management fees, hostel room rent, light charge, T&P charge etc. One of my friend who is general category student has paid 73500 per semester as tuition fees and all other fees are same for all categories. Some of the scholarships that are available for students such as PM yashasvi scholarship (which provide Rs 80000 for ug student per year), Reliance Foundation scholarship( which provide Rs 2 lakh for ug student for full course). There are also some other scloharship for ug students.

Unveiling NIT Silchar: from students prespective

I am a student of Nit silchar pursuing Btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering .I am currently in the 1st year and i am paying Rs 67000 per year excluding the mess fees. As i am an obc student with family income below 1 lakh so i have paid Rs 0 as tuition fees.We are having mess fees Rs 45000 per year.The institute has taken Rs 20000 as caution money which will be returned by the college after successful completion of our btech degree.The college has charged Rs 11000 per semester for all other fees like registration fees,admission fees,development fees,lab fees,medical facility charges,gym charges,water charges ,tv charges, mess managememt charge,hostel seat rent,light charges,T&P charges etc.One of my friend who is the general category student has paid 73500 per semester as tution fees and rest all fees are same for all the categories. Some of the scholarships that are available for students are Reliance Foundation scholarship(Rs 2lakh annualy for ug students),Pm yashasvi scholaship( Rs 80000 for ug students),Central sector scholaship(Rs 10000 annualy for ug students),ffe scholarship(Rs 50000 annualy for ug students).

NITS honest review

There are three fee concession based on the annual family income. If the family income is below 1 lakh 100% tution fees is waived. And if the income is between 1-5 lakhs 2/3rd tution fees is waived.and if the income is above 5 lakhs all of the fees is to be paid.

NIT Silchar, Cachar,Assam review

I have paid a year-wise fees of rupees 1 lakh 78 thousand rupees including my tution fees of around 1lakh 25 thousand and my hostel+mess fees of rupees 53 thousand,mess caution fees was around 25500 rupees and lab and other fees were included in tution fees only,their is no tution fees for sc, st candidates and for the students whose family income is below 1lakh also have no tution fees,for students whose family income is above1 lakh but below 5lakh has to pay 1/3 of the tution fees but the students whose family income is above 5 lakh has to pay full tution fees

The tuition fees for b tech is 62000 per semester for general male with family income more than 5 lac. It if off for those with family income less than 1 lac. Hostel and mess fees is 22000 per semester and other fees is 10000 per semester. In 22000 some amount will be refunded depending upon the material used by mess

The fees for general students (above 5 lakh income) is around 1 lakh per semester where around 22k accounts for the mess fees. The tuition fees is around 60k. The St/Sc and PWD are excluded from paying the tuition fees so it's less for them.
