I pursued my MBA from LPU, while my younger sister is doing her MBA from Doon Business School.
Out of my personal experience, here are a few disadvantages of doing an MBA from LPU-
Doon Business School offers a better ROI, and in fact, the climate of the place is comparatively pleasant in summers. For an MBA, DBS has a better brand reputation, experienced faculty and better curriculum. DBS does not offer just an MBA degree, it offers numerous other industry oriented courses too.
Thus, I would suggest you choose Doon Business School for an MBA.
If you are looking for a BBA program, Doon Business School is definitely a good option to consider. The course is affiliated with two well-known universities and also provides a 5-year integrated BBA+MBA course. The college is committed to the betterment of its students and focuses on enhancing their employability skills to make them all-rounders in every aspect of management.
DBS also provides various value-added certificates to the students, such as SAP-UA Certification, Six Sigma, Digital Marketing, Insurance Licentiate, and NCFM, which add to the student's credentials and make them more marketable in the job market.
DBS teaches foreign languages, which can benefit international organization students. It features top-notch facilities and industry-experienced faculty. The faculties give students hands-on experience and equip them with career-ready abilities.
Doon Business School boasts a great facility, faculty, and BBA program that emphasizes practical learning and offers value-added certificates. Before choosing, research location, fees, placements, and student evaluations.
Doon Business School offers a Mass Communication program that provides both theoretical and practical knowledge to its students. The faculties of this program are well qualified and have several years of experience in different fields of media such as Print, Electronic, Graphics, and Audio Video Media. The college has a subscription to popular English and Hindi dailies, and it also has state-of-the-art Mass Communication labs with digital cameras and handy cams to cater to the needs of students for exterior shoots.
Furthermore, Doon Business School has an audio-video editing lab with a recording studio, which enhances the learning experience of students. The college also has a panel of experts from the industry who impart knowledge on the latest developments and trends in the field. Overall, the Mass Communication program at Doon Business School offers a practical and better learning experience to its students.
The advantages of taking PG outside the campus are as follows.
On the other hand, the disadvantages of living outside the campus are:
While living outside the campus can save costs and provide more freedom, it may come with additional responsibilities like managing oneself and arranging for food. Ultimately, the decision should depend on personal preferences and priorities.
Doon Business School (DBS) is a reputed institute located in Dehradun that offers a three-year BBA program affiliated with HNB Garhwal University and Sri Dev Suman University. The institute also provides a five-year integrated BBA+MBA program. The BBA course at DBS is unique in its approach as the institute and faculty members are constantly striving to enhance the employability skills of their students and make them all-rounders in every aspect of management.
One of the strengths of DBS is that students not only receive their degree certificates, but also various Value Added Certificates like SAP-UA Certification, Six Sigma, Digital Marketing, Insurance Licentiate, and NCFM. Foreign languages are also taught at DBS, which can be useful in the increasingly globalized job market.
DBS offers students different specializations like finance, HR, and marketing to choose from, which helps them to tailor their studies towards their preferred career path. This approach of providing specializations is a great step by the college management, and it allows students to hone their skills and gain in-depth knowledge in their field of interest.
Overall, Doon Business School appears to be a good choice for pursuing a BBA degree as the institute provides an all-around development for its students, equipping them with the necessary skills and certifications to excel in their careers.
This is a very incomplete question on its own. Will u get a placement, most likely yes. But does taking admission ensure this, well I doubt it. Placement is a by-product of the efforts you put in during your MBA or any other qualification.
DBS as an Institute will provide you with the environment to nourish yourself academically and will help in the development of various skills, provided you are keen to learn and actively participate in different activities and competitions that take part throughout the tenure of 2 years.
Best Placements are mostly grabbed by those students who grind themselves. Your focus should be on becoming a good learner while pursuing any professional course. Don’t worry too much about placement if you can work on yourself for good 2 years.
Let me explain the safety and security at DBS (Doon Business School), where my friend lived in the college hostel during my first year.
If we are simply comparing the colleges on the basis of ROI, JMI would be your best bet since it gets you a job with an average pay of 5 lacs with a mere fee of nearly 50000. But if you want to get a proper campus exposure you could think of going to Doon Business School. Doon charges nearly 5c lacs for the entire period of two years and has an average package of 6v lacs. You also need to emphasize the factors that are important to you. JMI is a central university and has a very rich legacy but Chandigarsh University on the other hand is quite popular for its pedagogy and professors. My personal choice would be to go for JMI because of the enticing ROI and small batch size.
It’s not very difficult to get admission into Doon Business School for BBA. It takes admission through a written aptitude test or WAT. WAT examination tests your quantitative and analytical skills and checks whether you’ll be able to cope with the subjects of the course you’re getting yourself into or not. WAT is an easy-to-moderate test and it’s only part of the selection process. Your past academic records, resume, and personal interview play a very important role in the selection process. You might get a short case study to analyze in your interview. The case would loosely be based on an office incident, a company or a person. Just remember to ask important questions and lay down your assumptions in front of them. Don’t hesitate to ask questions since the panel is judging you on the basis of your approach.
All of the value-added classes that DBS offers to its students are well known both in their own country and around the world. Some courses are required for all students, while others are up to the students to choose based on their interests. The best thing about these Value-added courses is that they are very current and help pupils meet the needs of the modern world.
Since these courses can be taken online, it's clear that the students need to put in some effort as well.
