Ques. Is the BA Digital Media at DGU a full-time on-campus program? Do classes go late in the evening?
Ans. Yes, the BA Digital Media program at DGU is a full-time, on-campus program. As per the official fee structure, classes in the Department of Mass Communication may stretch till late evening and require many group projects. The university strongly advises students to stay in campus hostels to manage the schedule effectively. Both boys and girls hostels are available on campus with modern sporting and gym facilities.
Ques. What is the difference between BA Digital Media and BA Film & TV at DGU? Can I switch?
Ans. BA Digital Media & Mass Communication focuses on journalism, branding, content creation, digital marketing, PR, and strategic communication across all media formats. BA Film & TV is more focused on film production, cinematography, direction, and television production. Both are offered under the Doon School of Modern Media. Students are admitted to a specific program and switching between programs is subject to university policy and seat availability.
Ques. Does DGU provide Google and Meta Ads certifications as part of the BA Digital Media program?
Ans. Yes. The BA Digital Media curriculum includes hands-on training in running ad campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and YouTube Studio, with certification pathways. These certifications add significant career value and are part of the core curriculum, not optional add-ons.
Ques. What is the placement scenario for BA Digital Media graduates from DGU?

Ques. Is the International Study Program in Dubai mandatory for BA Digital Media students?
Ans. No, the International Study Program (2-week course in Dubai in Film/Music Production) is optional and not mandatory. It costs an additional Rs. 1,50,000. Similarly, the 6-day program at Ramoji Film City/Mumbai Film City (Rs. 25,000) is also optional. Students who wish to opt for these programs can do so for additional experiential learning.
Ques. What is the minimum percentage required for admission to BA Digital Media at DGU, and is there any entrance exam?
Ans. The minimum eligibility is 50% aggregate in Class XII (45% for SC/ST/OBC) from any stream (Science, Commerce, or Humanities). Students with 75% or above in 4 core subjects or CUET (UG) Percentile 60 and above are directly admitted without an interview. Students below this threshold must appear for the DGU online entrance test (DGU-AT) conducted at the time of the online interview. There is no separate mandatory entrance exam for this program.
