Is there any fee discount for SC/ST in BIT Mesra for B.Tech?

There is no fee discount offered exclusively to SC/ST candidates of B.E. at BIT Mesra. However, you may get some discount on the first-semester fee, which is available for students of all castes and depends upon their ranks. BIT Mesra and its other branches (Ranchi, Patna, Deoghar, and Jaipur) do offer scholarships to students based on their GPA and their performance each semester. To become eligible for the scholarship, you have to score more than or equal to 8 GPA in your semesters. The scholarship is not caste-based and is open to every deserving student. With the benefit of this scholarship, if you perform well in a semester, some percentage of your fee will be credited back into your bank account. BIT Mesra's fee structure in 2023 is nowhere comparable to that of NIT. BIT is a private engineering college and obviously charges higher fees than a government college like NIT. BIT MESRA- LIFE IN GREEN NUTSHELL

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure of Bit Mesra is transparent and decent. The fee structure is divided into eight semesters with sub-categories as tuition fee, development fee, hostel fees, and institute fees. Along with that, mess fees are also paid, which are not included in the tuition and are paid separately to the bit welfare society. At the time of admission, a one-time fee of around 90000 is paid. The fees increase every year, and the mess fees also increase. For the 2025 batch, in the 1st semester, the fees to be paid were 2.87 lakh, including the tuition, institute, development and one-time admission fee. The mess fees amounted to around 35-36k.From next semester onwards, the fees to be paid range from 1.95 to 2.7 lakhs + the mess fees. Scholarships are awarded based on CG in the semester performance and also based on crl rank in JEE. This was for the B.Tech programmes. For B.Arch, the course is quite expensive with around 30-35 lakhs in fees for the overall course.

Year wise you will be paying around 4 lakh for course and 1 lakh for hostel and mess combined the college do provide merit based scholarship and some scholarship for backward castes and even scholarship for high ranking individuals in JEE

A Good College!!!

The fees range from 1.71 lakhs to 2.26 lakhs per semester. Admission Fee: 20000 Caution Money: 10000 IT & Digital Infrastructure: 65000 You also receive the GP Birla Scholarship, which is awarded to students with a merit score of more than 9 CGPA. Also, there are scholarships for General EWS and SC/ST students.

Beyond the Brochures: Fun Days at BIT

The total fee structure of our college per year is 4.38 lakhs approximately. Upon course completion, the total tution fees is 13.35 lakhs, the development fees is 93000, the institute examination fees is 74500.The total additional amount to be paid at the time of admission including admission fee( 20000), caution money (10000), IT and digital infrastructure fee (60000), is 90000.

Total fees is 1451000 INR. Semester wise the install ment fees keeps increasing as follows 145700 for 2 sems 162500 for next 2 sems,179000 for the following 2sems, and 195500 for the last 2 sems plus 82700 INR for other amenities of clg.(Caution money, IT Development, Admission Fees) 232000 INR for Hostel +Mess fees during 8 sems. Integrated MSc has a Tuition +Caution +Admission +IT Dev Fee of 840700 INR. One interesting point i would like to mention is that they provide HP G10 Laptop Ryzen 5 to each student and it is compulsory to accept it. (Its cost is already included in the fees) For SC ST students with good rank in JEE Mains receive upto 100% tuition fee waiver. GP Birla Scholarship is merit based scholarship on basis of CGPA in each semester. It is category wise for all students.

BIT Mesra is mesmerizing!!

Our academic load is even higher than that of closed rank colleges or for that matter even NITs.

BIT Mesra is Jharkhand's biggest private entity and over 900 students of engineering in my branch alone. The college fees is a bit high as 4.5 lakhs a year and still I feel it ain't that much as facilities and teaching are top notch.

Life at BIT Mesra

At the time of admission, we have to give ?291000 including admission charges, tution fees, technical fees, etc. this fee is for the 1st semester. After this the fee keeps on increasing every semester for about 5-10%. So, approximately total fees given to the administration is ?20,00,000. Fir hostel fees, ?20,000 is submitted for 1st semester; ?20,000 for 2nd semester; ?22,000 for 3rd and 4th semester; ?24,000 for 5th and 6th semester and ?26,000 for 7th and 8th semester. For mess fee we have to summit approximately ?30,000 every semester to the BIT Welfare Society. About scholarship:-90% scholarship is provided only to the students who have mare than 90 percentile in JEE . And 50% scholarship is provided to the children of staffs of BIT
