21 July 2025: The University of Liverpool MBA program has set new application deadlines for international students. For the September 2025 intake, the deadline is 25 July 2025, and for the January 2026 intake, the deadline is 30 November 2025. Check details.
University of Liverpool admissions for international students are open for two intakes—January and September. Undergraduate applicants must apply through UCAS, while postgraduate and MBA applicants can submit applications directly to the university’s online portal. - Amazing Campus
- Very nice and friendly staff
- Lots of societies and clubs that you can take part in apart from your studies, for example, cricket, table tennis, art & craft, theatre, swimming, water polo, drama, fencing and many more.
Dislikes
- Campus halls are very expensive
- There is no campus placement. If you need a job, you need to find it and apply for it.
- Not specific about the college, but the job market in the UK is not so good for international students. So, now think twice before coming to spend lots of money when there is no job guarantee.

- Advancement Scholarships, the Vice-Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship, and the Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary are available.
- I received £2,500 (VC International Attainment) + £2,000 (Commonwealth Bursary)

- Campus: the campus is absolutely amazing. - - The buildings with very big classrooms and lecture halls. Very spacious and well ventilated for all seasons. There are lecture halls as well with a seating capacity for ~100 students. Designed in a way that everyone can see the professor and vice a versa. - The library: the campus has two very big and well equipped libraries with numerous rooms spaces and desks to book and study. From human body to astronomy, You can find books on every subject there. Very secure access as well. - The abercromby garden: An amazing patch of grass, rather a garden, which looks calm in winter with the dew droplets frozen and a thin blanket of snow and in summers, bustling with students, some reading, some sat with friends with sodas and some even sunbathing.
- The professors: all of them, very well qualified and resourceful. Some of them are task-masters but that is because they are perfectionists and just want the best for us.
- The curriculum: amazing course work. The professors make it even more interesting because of their teaching methodologies. The subject matter is very relevant to the real world and gives an insight into how companies function.
Dislikes
- Class timings: sometimes the class timings were not comfortable for people leaving a little aways from the campus.
- Diversity: Majority of the students were indians in my class. Wish it was more diverse.
- Medical facilities: could have had an on-campus / inhouse doctor who could help students with everyday ailments.
Scholarship
- Yes, i did receive a scholarship, as mentioned in my previous response.
- One was a Commonwealth scholarship (which was offered to almost all students from Commonwealth countries)
- The other was for a good candidate, but I cannot exactly remember the criteria. But we did not have to apply for a scholarship. If the admissions committee thinks that you are eligible and qualify for a scholarship, they will offer it to you in the offer letter.
- There are other scholarships as well, which include 50% and 100% ones. All applicants are automatically considered and awarded at the discretion of the committee.

- The campus is huge, especially the sports area, which includes massive stadiums, courts, a gym with advanced equipment, and professional personal trainers
- The two libraries and the support provided by them are commendable. Like if you have a laptop to work on your assignments, you have to take it from the library.
- The university's diversity is amazing, with students coming from different countries. You will be asked to work on group assignments where you can interact with students.
Dislikes
- The course structure is designed in a way where various topics are covered, but not in enough depth, so they add little to no value in your CV
- Assignments were too research-based based than practical. I would expect computer or technical courses to have technical assignments or projects where they can learn and work on skills in demand, and can help in your job search. Assignments are too theoretical
- A one-year master course is not enough with so many holidays in middle, capstone or industry internship ,certifications should be added
Scholarship
- Yes, there are many scholarships. I received a scholarship of around 4000 GBP but if you apply early, as soon as the forms are out, there are good chances of getting a 100% scholarship.
- I joined during covid times so there was little financial help given to students travelling to universities abroad. My friend had received 1000 GBP of financial help from Adar Poonawalla for students arriving in the UK.

- It's uni accomodation is quite expensive and not everyone can afford it
- Applying for scholarships and funding is a bit complicated

- I did receive scholarships. Your achievements will make you gain more scholarships. Scholarships can vary from 1000 pounds to completely free. It's not common to get full scholarships but there were students in my class who did receive them.
- On average, international students could get up to 3000 pounds in reduction, but anything other than that requires applying for it.

- Yes , there are two different scholarships. One for all international students by default. And other scholarships are given for students with undergraduate marks more than 85%. However, the amount changes every year. There are other scholarships specific to departments. I received £5000 in total and I got two scholarships. Most of my batchmates got this scholarship

- The criteria to get the scholarship is to have a 6.5 CGPA and also scholarships work on a first-come, first-served basis.
- I received £4000 in scholarships. Yes, many of my batchmates received scholarships if they were eligible.

- The staff was super helpful, both in academics and non academics related problems
- The college absolutely supports mental health wellbeing and conducts different events and sessions for the awareness, which helps a lot of students to de-stress themselves, especially in exam seasons.
- There is a separate unit for student career help, which is solely dedicated to students wanting to up-skill their CVs, getting interview ready or even for a little career-doubted sessions.
Dislikes
- Due to the large campus, students often feel overwhelmed to make genuine connections in the first year, so one needs to put a little extra effort to get in the circle, after that it’s all fun !
- Since the staff is huge and distributed so in the initial days, students finds it difficult to get connected with the right mentor for a specific problem but it gets better over time.
- Since the city the college is in might affect the campus life, in Liverpool the weather is not trust for, there might be days with strong winds and heavy rains that often lead for delayed trains sometimes which affects the campus life, especially for the students who are not residing in the same city.
Scholarship
- I was given 2 scholarships, the vice chancellor's Scholarship and the PG scholarship, solely based on my previous academic journey since I had my GPA more than 7, so I was awarded these scholarships.
- The total amount of Scholarship I received was £5000, which was deducted from the tuition fee.
- My classmates did receive the PG Scholarship, but there were still some students who didn’t receive any.
- In my class there were more than 50% of people who received at least one of these scholarships so I believe the scholarship rate at this university is really good and they’re very helpful about the tuition fee structure as well. if you tell them what you’re going through, they’ll even provide or help you with any financial aid that supports you.

- Weather can be very unpredictable where it is sunny for sometime and starts to run after sometime.
- Limited on campus student accommodation for post graduate students as it is prioritised for undergraduate students.
- There is some issue with understanding the professors accents and phrases in the start.

- Yes, I received a scholarship from the university. I received 5000 pounds worth of scholarship from the university. The name of the scholarship is University of Liverpool Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship.
- Yes, some of my batchmates also received the same scholarship. But some of my batchmates received scholarships from their own country as well as other university scholarships.

- University of Liverpool (UoL) is part of Russel Group
- Many activities and communities like Guild encourages student engagement and collaboration.
- UoL offers good scholarships and I have received 2 scholarships of a total of £5000 worth.
Dislikes
- Professors were not experts in certain modules and do not encourage us to think out of the box or do complicated projects and strictly ask us to stay within the taught items and basics.
- To a course like this where the entry requirement tells that the student should already have an undergraduate in computer science specifically is also designed for students from basic psychology departments and so the course structure is made very basic without less application or AI level hands-on. Even for dissertation they do not allow us to think of a more complex models as the supervisors are from English background or politics.
- This course has to set an idea initially that it is theoretical and you won’t get proper hand on.

- Yes, I did receive 2 scholarships: the PGT Vice-Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship and the University of Liverpool’s Commonwealth Postgraduate Bursary.
- The scholarships had a total worth of £5000
- Yes, some of my batchmates have received one of these scholarships but very few had both of these.
- I am not aware of the number of students who receive this each year.

- Yes, there are scholarships available. I got two, one was a £2500 scholarship for being an Indian student, and the other was a £2500 Bright
- Student Scholarship for having more than 75% in my bachelor’s. Some batchmates got the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship, which covered 50% of fees, but it was based on SOP, academics, and some luck. No separate application needed, if selected, you get an email.
