- Amazing Campus
- Very nice and friendly staff
- Lots of societies and clubs that you can take part in apart from your studies, for example, cricket, table tennis, art & craft, theatre, swimming, water polo, drama, fencing and many more.
Dislikes
- Campus halls are very expensive
- There is no campus placement. If you need a job, you need to find it and apply for it.
- Not specific about the college, but the job market in the UK is not so good for international students. So, now think twice before coming to spend lots of money when there is no job guarantee.

- Campus: the campus is absolutely amazing. - - The buildings with very big classrooms and lecture halls. Very spacious and well ventilated for all seasons. There are lecture halls as well with a seating capacity for ~100 students. Designed in a way that everyone can see the professor and vice a versa. - The library: the campus has two very big and well equipped libraries with numerous rooms spaces and desks to book and study. From human body to astronomy, You can find books on every subject there. Very secure access as well. - The abercromby garden: An amazing patch of grass, rather a garden, which looks calm in winter with the dew droplets frozen and a thin blanket of snow and in summers, bustling with students, some reading, some sat with friends with sodas and some even sunbathing.
- The professors: all of them, very well qualified and resourceful. Some of them are task-masters but that is because they are perfectionists and just want the best for us.
- The curriculum: amazing course work. The professors make it even more interesting because of their teaching methodologies. The subject matter is very relevant to the real world and gives an insight into how companies function.
Dislikes
- Class timings: sometimes the class timings were not comfortable for people leaving a little aways from the campus.
- Diversity: Majority of the students were indians in my class. Wish it was more diverse.
- Medical facilities: could have had an on-campus / inhouse doctor who could help students with everyday ailments.

- The difficulty, I would say, is variable. Depending on the course, professor, prerequisite knowledge and background of a student. But overall, if i were to mark the difficulty level of the entire curriculum, i would say 7/10.
- As I previously mentioned, the courses have been meticulously planned to be on par with the current world and industry knowledge.
- There are 2 subject lectures scheduled per day. 2 hours of lectures each. Timings varied; classes usually started from 9am and went on till 4pm. Slots can be anytime during these hours.
- Every class has a minimum of 80 students, depending on the attendance
- Indians are the majority; roughly 70% are indians in a cohort.
Fees
- My annual tuition was £23,000. We had to pay 60:40 in two instalments. One before the end of October and the next in the middle of February.
- I got 2000£+2500£=4500£ scholarship so i had to pay £18500 in total.
- No other charges towards university. But yeah, you would have to pay for the graduation gown.
- There are a variety of options for student accommodations. Budget-friendly and a little luxury ones as well.
- But roughly, let's say for a student, along with the rent, you might end up paying £700. £500 rent + £200 groceries.
- Now this is a very variable figure, as it depends on person to person. Liverpool is a very walkable city and accommodations are in close vicinity to the uni.
- Bus costs £3 per journey if someone needs it and there are buses to the campus. Need be, one can always take an uber.

- The campus is huge, especially the sports area, which includes massive stadiums, courts, a gym with advanced equipment, and professional personal trainers
- The two libraries and the support provided by them are commendable. Like if you have a laptop to work on your assignments, you have to take it from the library.
- The university's diversity is amazing, with students coming from different countries. You will be asked to work on group assignments where you can interact with students.
Dislikes
- The course structure is designed in a way where various topics are covered, but not in enough depth, so they add little to no value in your CV
- Assignments were too research-based based than practical. I would expect computer or technical courses to have technical assignments or projects where they can learn and work on skills in demand, and can help in your job search. Assignments are too theoretical
- A one-year master course is not enough with so many holidays in middle, capstone or industry internship ,certifications should be added

- It was more theoretical but if you had no background in data or computer subjects, it would be tough to understand and moreover, the course is very fast-paced.
- Negative aspect was many topics and tools were covered but not in great depth and the assignments were more theoretical than practical
- A positive aspect was good number of optional modules to choose from
- Typically 2 classes are scheduled per day. Morning and evening slots depend on the slot you get. My batch has 140 students, of whom 100 were indians.
Fees
- In 2021 university fee was 24,000 GBP
- I decided to stay in private accommodation, as that was cheaper, so it was around 5000 GBP annually. 105 GBP per week was my rent; food and other expenses depend on your lifestyle. Many expenses apart from rent were 200-300 GBP .
- Buses are usually 2 GBp for every ride but almost everywhere you get student discounts. Make sure to carry your student ID everywhere. restaurants buses shops you get 10-15% student discounts.

- The curriculum is quite hard. It takes rigorous preparation to write exams. Depending on the course that you are taking, it might be a mix of theory and practical or just online assessments. Classes are scheduled at different times each day. There is at least 1 class a day. The average number of students can vary depending on the class, as each pupil takes their own optional courses so that is not a number that is fixed. There were some Indian students enrolled in my course. We can usually see Indians doing masters while natives do bachelors
Fees
- The fee is quite high. My course fees have gone up significantly since I finished uni. I had multiple scholarships so mine was significantly low. There were also students who came on full scholarship so that is also a possibility.
- However, a master's course would cost roughly 30-35k pounds for a year. The fee is charged at one go. You also have an option to pay it in instalments. The monthly expenses vary depending on where you rent and buy but I would say between 350 and 600 pounds for a single person, including everything.

- My course was easier for me and it is a mix of both technical and theoretical, and it’s quite interesting with workshops and seminars.
- Positive aspects of my course are it’s quite engaging for the students.
- Negative aspects is the level of students, as there was a mix of both tech and non tech persons and staff found it difficult to communicate the curriculum common to both.
- I had classes three days in a week for a total of 6 hours. My class had around 15 Indians, which is nearly half the strength.
Fees
- It depends on each course; for me it was £21,000, where I got a £5,000 scholarship for academic excellence. I stayed out of the campus and rented a 1 BHK for £800 per month, excluding bills. Fees can be paid in two instalments. I lived with my family and rented a 1 BHK and my monthly expenses came to around £2500; provided my partner works full time , this is manageable.
- But for students it should be much less than this, as they can find rooms for less than £150 per week and everything is accessible from the university campus.

- I would describe my course difficulties on a scale of 10 i would rate 8
- I had a mix of theoretical lectures and practical lectures and also exam-orientated lectures.
- The positive aspect of my course is that it is very easy to understand and implement in your exams and assignments.
- The negative aspect is the course is too basic; every subject has basic contents and nothing deep.
- There used to be 2-3 lectures per day and the time varies day to day.
- Total there were 200 students in my course but only 80-90 students attended the lectures daily.
- Most of them were Indians in my class.
Fees
- Fees for MSc International Business were £23000 in the year 2022, but I paid 18500 because of my scholarship.
- Accommodation was £8500 per year.
- Fees could be paid either in full or semester-wise.
- An estimated monthly expense would be £1000 per month, including rent, travelling and food. This is the Basic expenses and you need more if you are spending it for luxury.

- The staff was super helpful, both in academics and non academics related problems
- The college absolutely supports mental health wellbeing and conducts different events and sessions for the awareness, which helps a lot of students to de-stress themselves, especially in exam seasons.
- There is a separate unit for student career help, which is solely dedicated to students wanting to up-skill their CVs, getting interview ready or even for a little career-doubted sessions.
Dislikes
- Due to the large campus, students often feel overwhelmed to make genuine connections in the first year, so one needs to put a little extra effort to get in the circle, after that it’s all fun !
- Since the staff is huge and distributed so in the initial days, students finds it difficult to get connected with the right mentor for a specific problem but it gets better over time.
- Since the city the college is in might affect the campus life, in Liverpool the weather is not trust for, there might be days with strong winds and heavy rains that often lead for delayed trains sometimes which affects the campus life, especially for the students who are not residing in the same city.

- The course was not difficult but smooth; it took off easily and then was quite challenging by the end of the course, which is quite understandable since they often build you up with the basics first. The positive thing about the course is that you can be from any background and still crack the score; everything started from the very basics and then was taken to the next level.
- Also, there are a lot of projects, including group projects as well, that really helped to understand things and bond with the classmates. Some students might get a little stuck or overwhelmed by the end of the course since things get quite hectic and rushed over there and the concepts are also quite complex by the end of the course.
- Typically a day contains around 2 to 3 classes on average and each class is one hour. Average number of students in my class was around 150 to 200 but then There are a lot more optional courses that you had to choose from, so students often got segregated in those classes. They were around 40 to 45% of Indian students in my class.
Fees
- My total fee was £26,000 and I got a scholarship so it was reduced to £21,000. The scholarship I received was on the basis of my previous academic journey. Apart from the tuition fee, I lived in my own rented room, which cost me around £400-£500 per month but if I wanted to be in the heart of the city and near to the campus, it would cost me around £600 to £650.
- The fee at the college is a semester so I had my degree for one year so I had to pay my fee twice. Before the academic journey started, there was the acceptance fee that they took, which is also included in the tuition fee, which is around two thousand pounds, and you have to pay it after you are accepted into the College or after you have received the offer letter, so you need to pay £2000 For confirming your seat and assuring them that you are really coming. They have a deadline for that fee of around one to two months.
- When you were here in Liverpool, If you were renting a room which is comparatively cheaper than the university hostels, a good room would cost you around £500-£700. If you want to live in the nearby cities and not in Liverpool, you would also have to pay for the transportation charges, which would be around £10-£12 per day.
- And then for the groceries, the monthly budget for a student is around not more than £100 to £150. All these expenses are all taken care of once you get a part-time job in the local area that you’re living in and you have enough to keep in your money for exploring and travelling the country.

- Weather can be very unpredictable where it is sunny for sometime and starts to run after sometime.

- There is some issue with understanding the professors accents and phrases in the start.

- My course data science and AI, is a conversation course so they start with pretty basic teaching from basic maths and programming and this course would really be helpful for non-coding-background students. From the second semester, the difficulty depends on the modules selected.
- The most positive aspect of this course is being taught everything from pretty basic, which helps in understanding from the start and brushing up on all the basic fundamental concepts. The most negative aspect of this course was the dissertation to be done before the last semester, as I came in the January intake. It is being done with the September intake students.
Fees
- The full academic fee for my course is 28,800 pounds and the hostel fee is dependent on the accommodation we are choosing. For me it cost 107 pounds/week for student accommodation. To get the CAS letter, we need to pay 2000 pounds.
- The fees for the university are divided into 2 semesters. For the first semester, we need to pay 60% of the total fee and the remaining fee which is 40%, will be paid for the second semester.
- My monthly expenses include rent, which take majority of my expenses. Remaining expenses involve groceries and transportation. as my accommodation is very near to University I don’t spend much on travel expenses. In a month, rent is around 450 pounds and groceries are 300 pounds.

- UoL offers good scholarships and I have received 2 scholarships of a total of £5000 worth.
Dislikes
- Professors were not experts in certain modules and do not encourage us to think out of the box or do complicated projects and strictly ask us to stay within the taught items and basics.
- To a course like this where the entry requirement tells that the student should already have an undergraduate in computer science specifically is also designed for students from basic psychology departments and so the course structure is made very basic without less application or AI level hands-on. Even for dissertation they do not allow us to think of a more complex models as the supervisors are from English background or politics.
- This course has to set an idea initially that it is theoretical and you won’t get proper hand on.
Course Curriculum

- Difficulty level was intermediate. The course was 80% theoretical and 20% practical.
- Most positive aspect is the basic understanding and especially how AI is shaped in the media field with some exposure to AI-powered chatbots. Database module assignments were outstanding and the data visualization aspects that were learned along with some theoretical exposure to LLMs were outstanding. The course helps you to write research papers and your reading and browsing aspects improve.
- Negative aspects include that the curriculum should be made more technical and hands-on, professors should allow students to go above and beyond what is taught based on their interests and not be restricted to staying within the curriculum.
Fees
- For a master's in data science and communication, the tuition fee was £21,400 in Sept 2023-Sept 2024 (1 year full program). You should also show an extra £10,000 as a UK living fee in your bank account. If you are paying 40% before you reach college, then the rest of the fee will be asked to be paid on Jan 2024. Finally, the entire monthly expenditure comes around to £1200, in which £1000 is for rent and utility bills and £200 is for transportation, food and other expenses if you are renting a house like I did. However, if it is student accommodation, I think your entire monthly budget will fall under £700.

- Course was moderate, not too hard not too easy. Mostly practical, had to do presentations, case studies, real-world assignments. No just learn-theory-and-write type work. Some professors really good, focused on practical learning, some just read PPTs and left.
- Class schedule was random, sometimes 9-11 AM, sometimes 2-4 PM, only 3 days a week. So lot of free time but also less academic pressure.
- Batch was small, around 50 students in my class since it was an Advanced Marketing course. Out of them, 35 were Indians, so never felt alone. Networking easy, but placement support zero, had to find jobs totally on own.

The total tuition fee for my course was £25,000, but I received a £5,000 scholarship, reducing my final tuition cost to £20,000. The university allows students to pay their fees in two installments—one in September and the other in March. Since I opted for private accommodation, my hostel charges were separate from the university.
