- Course Curriculum was upto the mark and well suited to the domain which i chose.
- Campus Infrastructure is too good with well ambient class rooms
- Campus part time job opportunities are plenty with the help of university services
Dislikes
- The class schedule for my course was irregular.
- The markings for the assignments were not as expected.
- The university aid for placements wasnt that good.
Campus Life
- My college has many campuses –School of engineering, School of Mathematics, Business school
- School of law and all are located in and around the city centre.
- Our college got two libraries, one with 24/7 access, gym facilities and also student communal spaces.
- Welcome Freshmen and Snowball are two major events that take place at my university.
- There are a lot of extracurricular activities that take place at my university. There are many clubs, like go-karting and goga clubs for trekking and led sports for swimming, table tennis, rugby and also cricket.
Accommodation
- I found my accommodation through web browsing. I found my accommodation on the Uniacco website. I didnt use any groups on Discord or Telegram
- My accommodation rent is £600/month with all bills included and an ensuite bathroom. Its typically a 3-bedroom apartment with a common kitchen and 24/7 reception to help out students.
- Always use the web on your own to find better accommodations. Because there is a lot of scam happening regarding getting accommodation. So go on your own.
- My accommodation is very close to my university and it is just a 15-minute walk. Most of the Indians stayed in my accommodation. Its called the Burley Road Accommodation.

- Commuting via public transport is inconvenient
Campus Life
- The University of Leeds is a renowned educational institution with a centralized campus located in the heart of Leeds city center. Unlike some other universities, it does not have any subsidiary campuses.
- The university boasts three libraries, a state-of-the-art facility known as the Edge, and an on-site hospital. Students have access to a diverse range of over 300 clubs and societies, catering to various interests and providing opportunities for personal and professional development. While most of these clubs and societies require a membership fee, there are also several notable ones that are free to join.
- The university organizes regular events and fairs, such as the "Buddy Up" program, to facilitate social interaction and networking among students. Additionally, the university hosts popular club events like "Fruity Fridays" every weekend, offering students a vibrant clubbing experience.
Accommodation
- I secured my lodging based on the recommendation provided by my university's website. Although it is a private student accommodation company known as Unipol, it operates as a non-profit organization, offering student housing that provides excellent value for the cost.
- I resided in Grayson Heights, which was slightly further from the university; however, the cost-effectiveness outweighed this inconvenience, as there was a conveniently located bus stop nearby. Additionally, the rooms were spacious and situated in a high-rise apartment complex, providing a comfortable living environment.
- I opted for an executive room, which was priced at £89 per week, resulting in a total cost of approximately £420 for my stay. This room was a private space with shared communal areas, including a kitchen and washroom. It was a five-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, which was manageable.
- Fortunately, I encountered pleasant flatmates and enjoyed my time there; however, it is important to note that if one does not find suitable flatmates, the living situation can become challenging. Therefore, it is crucial to establish clear boundaries, house rules, and agreements from the outset to ensure a harmonious living environment.

- 2. Highly educated professors and lab assistants
- 3. Specifically curated courseworks for practical understanding
- 4. Relaxed timetable for self studying
Dislikes
- 1. The course was kind of introductory. I expected more from a master's degree
- 2. Teaching time was very less (1 yr course had 3 months of teaching per semester + 2 months of holidays + 3 months of dissertation)
- 3. They did not introduce the newer areas like GenAI, RAG, LLMs. Only a very basic introduction to NLP
Campus Life
- One big campus.
- The campus has 4 libraries, a lot of study spaces and that too of different kind (individual, group, etc)
- There's a sports area where you need a membership, which you get by default if you live in university accommodation. There are a lot of cafes around the campus. Big labs, big classrooms—you name it.
- There are different clubs for different things and I haven't attended any fests but there are societies that keep conducting events, like the Indian society will conduct a Holi-Diwali party. They keep conducting Bollywood nights.
- Similarly, other cultures have their own fests.
- And specific societies, like literature or art, would do other events. There are fests to celebrate students and teachers. Winter carnival, etc.
- There is Leeds University Union, which is entirely run by students for the students. They help you out for each and every problem you face in your university life and keep conducting events.
Accommodation
- I used Amber Student to get my accommodation, as it was a private one. The university also has their accommodations, but I didn't get the one I liked so I chose to go for a private agency.
- 174 pounds per week was the rent for me, all bills included. I wouldn't say it was the best accommodation. There were better places with better facilities. But moving was a big task so I chose to stay.
- I would suggest going for university accommodations or the ones listed on the Unipol website, as they have to follow the norms strictly.
- My accommodation was a 4-minute walk from my college. Indian students stayed in all different accommodations as they were a lot in number.

- I liked Infrastructure
- Library - 3 different library and 2 were 24/7 open
- Online learning resources like coursera
Dislikes
- No student support for international student
- Very traditional course
- Specifically for my course faculty were not very good with the subject
Campus Life
- I would say it had around 20+ buildings with everything connected. All of them were near each other except for a separate building of computer science building ester simpson and Leeds business school in different locations but accessible from Leeds university union building. Everything was walkable distance.
- There is fully equipped gym, temperature controlled pool. Basket ball court, very small football yard, Badminton court behind business school, 3 different libraries and a student union.
- There are also a theatre, music rooms, Yoga rooms and 3 bars. There is grocery store and small cafes for coffee and snacks and lunch area and a huge common room with seating.
Accommodation
- I found my accommodation from Spareroom website. I did an online viewing and also asked my cousin to visit the place as there are many frauds that happen in Spareroom for money.
- I lived in an ensuite room on a first floor so my rent was comparatively higher. It was £520 per month for 10 months contract. Then I took summer let in a student accommodation for 3 months as my plan was to stay there till my course end period.
- I would recommend to go with the student accommodation or university accommodation. No matter how expensive they are in UK. Because the british weather is harsh and normal houses are not very warm and compatible with bills.
- I lived 500m away from the campus

Dislikes
- Dislikes There was hardly anything to dislike about the University as it provide everything within the premises. But yes when it comes to the classmates or colleagues you will experience competition
- Since the university is huge you will find it tiring to move from one lecture to another is it is not in the same building
Campus Life
- The University has multiple campus for each department with great infrastructure and classrooms.
- There were multiple libraries in and around university premises, beautifully designed and built and you can spend entire day in it.
- The student unions keeps organising multiple fests and events and you get to eat pizza for free.
- They also have multiple clubs and sports activities so you can participate in them and have great time with the people
Accommodation
- I took the university accommodation which was of 5 mins walk from the University but it was Little expensive. And it was easy to find the accommodation on the website itself which provide all the details.
- Other than that there are housing agencies which are available online to find a good accommodation and more cheaper price than that of university hostel

- I love how diverse my university is.
- I really like how helpful the admin staff is. Eg I had trouble accessing my university email and I told them, and within a day I could access it.
- My professors are extremely helpful and clear all the doubts
Dislikes
- There are no boundaries that show that where campus starts
- The price for food items on university is very high.
- The lecturers at times can be fast to grasp and as an international student it gets a little difficult.
Campus Life
- I'm not entirely sure of how many campuses. But it would be maybe 4. The facilities are libraries, medical centres, and gym facilities; it depends on the department laboratories. My university has a lot of everyday events as well as more than 200 clubs for everyone to participate in. The clubs are of variety; it ranges from academics to sports to voluntary activities to dances to singing, which further have like 50-60 societies.
Accommodation
- My university has Unipol housing, which I got to know when I emailed the college regarding accommodation. My monthly rent is around £560, which includes electric, water, a kitchen bathroom, and access to the gym during a particular time for her day. It wasn't challenging to find accommodation but my parents and I had a long discussion about which one to choose. My accommodation is like a 15-minute walk to college and 5 minutes from the bus.

- Just 1 campus, in the city of Leeds.
- Facilities include 4 big libraries, one of which was open 24*7, all sorts of sports, including American football, rowing, basketball, skating, and much more.
- Major Christmas festivals were all white people festivals, including Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and we had a grand freshmen week full of events and parties.
- All cultural events were organised by clubs and communities, including Guru Purab, Diwali, Holi, and much more.
Accommodation
- Off-campus accommodation.
- I found it through the university website.
- Monthly rent was around 500 GBP, and facilities were a personal room, shared kitchen, and toilet. It was a gated community, pretty safe.
- I did not face any challenges for securing accommodation because for international students, the university guarantees accommodation.
- My accommodation was a 15-minute walk from the college campus. Most of the Indian students stay in shared accommodations for saving on rent and also enjoying the company of people from their country.

- In my course some modules felt very easy which seemed like was made for beginners and not a masters level module. Other than that everything is good.

Our university has more than 100 societies and extracurricular events are always happening around the campus, we have a union area which has a bar, grocery store, cafe, and union shop for buying university merchandise. We have a cafe and a library.

I live in a private student accommodation in Leeds which is an ensuite booked through amber student.

- Integrated campus, easy to walk with all amenities nearby
- Leeds is more affordable than London
- The Institute of Transport Studies has amazing faculty members and extracurricular/social activities
Dislikes
- Not the London level exposure
- Airport access for international travel to India/other Asian countries is from Manchester or London (1-3 hr train ride)
- Not very creative crowd as the college tends towards science students.
Campus Life
The University has many societies which you can be a part of - including sports. I liked the gym, which has a pool, badminton, squash, basketball and football facilities. You get basic gym access with your University accommodation. The libraries are amazing and become your second home. There are 24 hr open library facilities where you can book group rooms for group work. The library also has cafes, and in case you have any laptop needs IT can help you with that.
Accommodation
I stayed at the University accommodation which was quite nice. I think it costs around 9000 to 9500 GBP (around 650 to 750 GBP a month) for a year now. It was one of the better ones and had amazing facilities. The rooms are ensuite which means the bathroom was inside the room, with a common kitchen and laundry. I shared my flat with five more students. There are other options available from the university. Unipol is a good website for searching for private accommodation. Headingley, Hyde Park, and Burley Park are some student areas where you can find accommodations costing 500 GBP a month or maybe less.
