What Students Say
Likes
- The faculties were nice and approachable.
- The libraries were a plus too for studies
- It was a decent experience in terms of academics.
Dislikes
- When it comes to getting a job, I was on my own.
- Unlike India, I had to approach recruiters and HRs for applications. There is no concept of campus placement or any help form the College for securing a job.
Course Curriculum
- The course was updated. Apart from the theoretical stuff, I liked the seminars a lot. They were engaging and challenging. We had visits from Corporate employees too to give us an idea about the UK work culture.
- My batch had 200 students and usually I had 2-3 classes per day, lasting 1-2 hours each.
Admission Experience
- The course that I went for was among the 100 in the world according to QS rankings for the University of Leeds. Apart from that, I read about the town culture which was happening. I also read about the alumni of LUBS and was sold from there to join the university.
- I gave the GMAT and IELTS. Got 640 on the GMAT and an 8 band on IELTS. However, GMAT was not required for my course.
Faculty
- I am not aware of the ratio tbh but I do know that they have multiple dedicated professors for each module. They are approachable too, except during the class hours.
- We approached them with doubts after the class or they would give us a time that they would be here at x am on Monday and we would programme accordingly.
Campus Life
- I found my accommodation through Unite Students. They have a website. The rent was 160 pounds per week.
Part Time Jobs
- For part-time, I would say there are an ample amount of opportunities.
Placement
- Getting a full-time job of your liking is a different challenge altogether. There are people I know who are working with councils or some are even working full-time in stores and bars. Usually startups should be targeted for securing a job after graduation. Big companies have a long process and visa status matters for them even if you are willing to take PSW.
- I came back after my course because I was not able to get a job as per my profile there. The rules changed, the salary threshold changed and that changed the entire situation. However, I work as a Data Analyst now so things turned out well for me.
Accommodation
- I found my accommodation through Unite Students. They have a website. The rent was 160 pounds per week.
Exams
- It depends on the course selected. Different courses have different admission criteria. The documents required were a CV, SOP, and LOR (Both Academic and Working if having experience).
Fees
- 26500 Pounds is the annual fee
