    • Full first-year tuition fees
  • EU, Sub-Saharan & Northern Africa:

Cost of Living for Coventry University Students

Although Coventry is often considered a budget-friendly student city. After housing, food is usually the next biggest monthly cost, and many students manage it through part-time jobs or careful weekly budgeting.

For accommodation, Coventry University offers a range of housing options ranging between £4,290 and £11,000 (5.25 to 13.47 lakhs INR) per year, including halls of residence and private accommodations.

For an estimated breakdown of the costs, visit the Coventry University campus and cost of living.

Overall, Coventry University falls in the mid-range cost category for Indian students, with most postgraduate programs costing £18,600, undergraduate fees £17,600–£20,800, and MBA costing £21,300. Combined with relatively affordable living expenses, the total annual budget reaches about ₹28 to 35 lakhs, though extra costs like placement years and field visits can increase it. The main financial challenge is the requirement to pay full first-year tuition upfront for CAS issuance, making liquidity more important than total cost. While scholarships up to £4,000 provide limited relief, students who plan finances early may still find Coventry a manageable and predictable UK study option.

  • The course curriculum is not hard; as an Indian Student who has to memorise everything and then go for exams, the UK curriculum is really easy to crack. It was a mix of both theoretical and practical for me. The mix was greatly beneficial for me.
  • The most positive aspect is the lecturers, who are supportive in every aspect. The most negative aspect of the course was the lack of placement.
  • Typically in a day there would be 3 sessions, and the classes start from 10 to 12 and then 1 to 3pm.
  • The average number of students was around 50-70.
  • Indian students were about 20-25.

Fees

  • 17950/- is the fee.
  • For me it was done in 2 installments.
  • Monthly expenses would be as follows:
    • 300-500 for private renting
    • if you walk, then you save on travel. Coventry is a small city; you do not need public transport unless you live far away
    • 25 per week for groceries
    • 100 miscellaneous
    • I lived with my bare minimum, ha.
    • Dining out every time would cost around 10-15 for a nice place it would be from 25-35. It depends on how you spend it.
    • So overallI believe you can survive with around 700.

  • The course curriculum was of moderate difficulty. Writing papers came as a challenge, as they had to be very detailed but after a point of time you do get the hang of it. It was a mix of theoretical and practical.
  • The most positive thing about this course was that it did not turn out to be very stressful and there was a balance between assignments and classwork. The most negative aspect of this course was the lack of hands-on training.
  • In a day there were 2 classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In a week classes were only held for 2 days.
  • There were up to 20 students in my class. 70% of the students enrolled were Indian.

Fees

  • The tuition fees for the course were 18,600 pounds for a full year and as I chose a private student accommodation, the price varies.
  • The fees can either be paid one time or can be paid in installments half yearly or quarterly.
  • My monthly expenses were approximately 900 pounds, wherein the rent was 500 pounds, groceries were 200 pounds, leisure activities were 150 pounds and travel was 50 pounds.

  • The academics were really flexible with only 2 working days in the week allowing space for extra curricular activities and part time work for the students. It was the perfect mix of theory and practical learning.
  • The work pressure was really low. Additionally, a small group of students in one classroom made it better to learn effectively and efficiently.

Fees

  • The fee structure was pretty expensive. We were required to pay fee per semester and if you got delayed there was always a penalty for it.
  • The rent structure in my accommodation was also pretty expensive as I was living in London. Every facility was provided near my accommodation like gym, tesco and aldi  (supermarket), food court, cafes and parks.

  • It was a really difficult course as the expectations from the students were quite high from the very beginning, so I would recommend the University to someone who already has a background and some experience in the subject they choose to pursue.
  • Positive aspects included how the course content was relevant to the industry requirements and the negative aspects were a lack of time to complete the projects.
  • Depending on the attendance you can say we had a 1:5 ratio. Teaching methodology was quite conventional and the course content was sufficient but if it was more streamlined it would have been better.
  • The job market and the requirements are changing very quickly it is best to do some learning beyond the course as well.

Fees

  • When I was studying it was roughly 15 Lakh INR per academic year. It was charged yearly.
  • Estimated monthly expenses were around 1.2 L with the most expensive proportion being the rent for a studio apartment with an attached bathroom (en-suite), rent for a room with an attached bathroom is much more expensive and one should also factor in considerations such as a need for a local guarantor when looking for accommodation.

So to be specific about my particular course which is masters in International Business Management the course was pretty decent. I expected a bit more from the university in terms of academics and other activities. I was expecting it to be more of practical work and more of real world experience but it was not up to the expectation mostly it was all about theoretical lectures and so on.

The reason why I chose this University was that I was looking for various universities in UK and it was one of the good university among other universities for business management course and also had a good reputation and about the location, the university is situated right in the middle of the city so it's pretty easy to commute and there are plenty of career opportunities but it depends on how much you work hard for your goals and how well you perform in your studies apart from that it's all about picking up the small things from your surrounding and making it a learning curve.
