- The university is close to the village and the nearby cities are around 45 mins via public transport.
- This causes the part time opportunities a bit difficult.
Placement
- The full-time job market is really competitive in the current days.
- I checked the nearby accommodations, which cost around £500. With current dates, the price may range between £600 and £700.
Dislikes
- Marking was quite strict and the teaching was not up to the point
Placement
- Career and employability services are very good and trained for assisting students
- Around £700 -750 including all bills
Likes
- Industrial Collaboration for projects
- Good networking opportunities during projects, career fair
- Masters only University so like minded cohort from around the globe and a good environment to learn and grow
Dislikes
- Not anything in particular but some modules could be improved
Placement
- Current aerospace engineering job situation for non-UK residents in the UK is REALLY bad (I am writing this in Aug 2025). Most of my batchmates have gone back to their respective countries of residence for jobs. All of them have found jobs, thankfully. Even though you get to network with a lot of people, if there are no vacancies, there’s nothing anyone can do.
- If your purpose for doing a master's is education and skill development, I recommend it. (You would have to look for jobs outside UK though). If your purpose for a master's is solely finding a “job within the UK”, I recommend looking for other opportunities, as it definitely is not the way right now.
- You can look for jobs/internships at career fairs. From personal experience, many of the relevant roles in aerospace have nationality constraints. Unless you’re exceptionally good, it is hard to find jobs. University provides a great career portal and career guidance service, though.
- Campus accommodation and also off-campus accommodation can be found on University portal. Once you get admission, they send you the details. Campus Accommodation would cost approximately 8400 GBP a year (depending on the accommodation you opt for). This would include a room with a bed table and a cupboard. They also provide cutlery. Some common-use equipment and spaces like the kitchen, ironing board, and sitting area. Toilets can be en-suite or common depending on the option you opt for. Off-campus accommodation is a bit cheaper. Weekly expenses would be roughly 50 GBP (if you cook) a week, which would include groceries and laundry. Will be much higher if you rely on ordered food.

- Access to industry and experts
- Expertise of faculties
- Facilities
Placement
- The job potential varies hugely with respect to the profile of the student. There is no common scoring point here
- Accommodation is provided by the University. Cost GBP 500 per month in 2022
Likes
- Huge campus, with plenty space to do nature walks, and sporting activities
- Brilliant course modules, including Big data and Analytics, which are not offered by other universities providing the same course
- Very resourceful careers team, who assist in securing job ready skills, through mocks, CV reviews, career sessions and career fairs
Dislikes
- Very far away from the city, Cranfield is a village which is isolating
- Access to just one convenience store, and 1 petrol pump.
- The bus facilities going into the city are poor and unreliable
Placement
- About 10% secure jobs immediately after studying, but most people take at least about a year. About 50-60% secure jobs within the first year
- There is no placement concept in the UK. We have to attend career fairs to connect with employers.
- Major companies that hire do it based on your skill rather than university name. Top consultancies look for top universities
- Found my accommodation on the university website,
- Monthly rent was about £800 pounds; it was the costliest of the 4 options. It was without mess services.
- No challenges; it was super smooth.
- I think it’s best to choose on-campus accommodation, as it becomes easier to collaborate on group assignments. My accommodation was on campus so it was a 10 mins walk from my lecture rooms

Likes
- Course structure, perfect balance of theory and practical studies. 40% taught modules and rest 60% group and individual projects, blending in both theory and practical work into one course.
- Taught module evaluation based on mini-projects and presentations rather than exams, thus putting the learnings into practical use cases.
- Thesis project was 5 months long and very well structured, allowing people to develop their research, practical and time management skills.
Dislikes
- Quicker and easier communication could be established between students and faculties.
- Due to tight schedule of the course, student's individual ideas and projects sometimes do not get the attention and exposure they need.
Placement
- The program is designed not only to provide strong academic and technical foundations but also to support career development through practical exposure, career services, and industry connections. There is an on-site employability service team that helps with professional development and networking, although jobs have to be searched for by the students themselves.
- Companies like AVL, Nissan, Rolls Royce, and multiple Formula 1 and Formula E teams have employed people from my batch.
- Accommodation was provided by the University themselves, it can be accessed through their website. The facilities included an en-suite room and a common kitchen along with personal cupboards in the kitchen; the cost per month was 217 pounds.
- There were no challenges, as the University authorities handled the accommodations. I recommend it because, although a bit expensive, it is a very easy and hassle-free experience. It is present on Campus.
Likes
- I like how extensive the courses were, I believe Cranfield provides the most modules in comparison with other universities and is ranked really well in the UK.
Dislikes
- Not a lot of diversity, I didn’t expect there to be 80% Indians.
Placement
There are no placements, just job fairs. They weren’t beneficial to me as there were no options for marketing, the majority was for engineering and aerospace. So, had to find a job on my own, no one in my course got placed through the job fairs.
I chose UK because I didn’t want to learn another language. But I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it because there is a horrible shortage of work at the moment. I chose Cranfield because of the modules and because it was well-ranked. It’s a pretty serious and academic university so if anyone is looking for a social uni, Cranfield isn’t the one for you.
Likes
- I chose this University as I wanted the Thermal Power course which aligns to my area of interest in aviation engines.
- I like the teaching research facilities and the placement opportunities with the industry. The location of the university is also in a calm place and it has a university airport for research purposes.
Dislikes
- The one aspect which can be improved is the high fees for the courses as it won't be affordable for everyone. Otherwise everything is good in Cranfield
Placement
There are lots of companies visiting the university. To name some are Airbus, rolls Royce, BAE systems and MBDA.
My overall experience is very good as there are lots of opportunities and faculty are ready to help and are available at most of the times. Also recreation times are great in here with sports facilities and clubs.

- Coming from an engineering background, MSc in Management provided a strong foundation to launch a career in the management field. Cranfield University is renowned in the UK for this course and stood out as a top choice among employers. The course structure made me choose Cranfield University, it had well-organised and highly practical modules. A particularly attractive aspect was the study trip to Spain, where we engaged in a real project for a product's internationalisation, which was a truly amazing experience. Finally, unlike other universities, there was an opportunity to do internships as a part of the course and gain experience before graduating.
- The course is well-structured, and the staff were exceptionally supportive. Engaging in group projects and discussions provided insights into the diverse ways people think. Further, the assignments served as a catalyst for self-learning and skill development.
- I was pleased with the progression of my very first research work. It never felt burdensome. I enjoyed collaborating with my supervisor. Additionally, the presence of a student well-being and disability support team ensured constant support and assistance as and when required.
Dislikes
- Initially, the location posed some challenges, but once I formed connections and made friends, the experience became truly enjoyable. Later on, I started enjoying the calmness.
Placement
There is no campus placement available. However, some companies offering internships offer full-time jobs upon successful completion of internships. Throughout the year, there were numerous job fairs and talks. The careers team is very helpful in enhancing CVs, practicing for interviews and offering career advice. Several of my friends have already secured positions in the UK, Dubai, and their respective home countries. However, I don't have the exact figures regarding the number of students successfully placed.
My experience at Cranfield University was wonderful. Initially, I was clueless about many opportunities in the management field due to my lack of work experience. However, by the end of the course, I had gained knowledge about all the major management concepts and areas. I also formed valuable connections in the specific area of my interest. Building friendships with people from different countries enriched my experience, and the time spent in Spain remains one of my best memories ever.
Placement
Cranfield University in the Uk is one of the few Universities with a placement cell. The team is quite helpful, but it all comes down to the student on the efforts they make for an opportunity. various companies visit throughout the year.
Chose Cranfield since it offered an internship program after the end of the taught program and the fact that the Masters dissertation had to be based on the internship learning.
