Course Curriculum

8

  • An updated and relevant course syllabus is better than most IITs and NIITs.
  • For my thesis, I was exposed to Lab research experience for 2 months for data collection and experimentation.

Admission Experience

  • Cranfield was the first University amongst the world to start its MSc programme in Automotive Engineering; there are only a few universities worldwide that have a legacy in their flagship courses. Cranfield is one of the same stories for the aerospace courses. The admission process was simpler: just contact the university, contact a study abroad firm, and contact the University of Asia's admissions head. Contact a study abroad firm.
  • They will guide you through the admission process with a genuine process and step-by-step clarity. Keep your IELTS score before the admission process begins, present IELST along with transcripts, and prepare for the interview for admission, that's it. The university gives you a CAS letter with a VISA, then applied via VRS New Delhi. Wait for the VISA and Offer of Admission, book flights, and FLY!
  • The main reasons that drove me for cranfield is strong ties with OEMs and F1 Motorsports teams. Competitive Environment. Highly competent people are selected for the PG-only courses at the university.

Faculty

8

  • The faculty at Cranfield is top-notch in their respective fields. Students can grab their research project with the state of the art research and development departments in top OEMs, mostly professors are a valuable link towards the industry internships, job placements, and successful career launch.
  • The lasting impact were incredibly left on me was the whole package offered by the university. The faculty is highly recognised in their work and is continuously reshaping the university's research positioning. Prof. Dr Daniel Auger was the last faculty that left an incredible impact on me because of his revolutionary research on LFP batteries and the future that technology holds.

Campus Life

6

  • The one-year course at PG university does not have much to offer, considering your one year dedicated to your field, course, and academic interest. There are several campuses providing accommodation and livelihood, clubs and events also take place along with extracurricular activities, and a minimalistic focus on sports and their quotas.
  • However, mainly research activities are carried out, and the main focus is on academics.

Part Time Jobs

  • Luckily, in Christmas times, 15 GBP per Hour during Christmas, otherwise a decent 11 GBP per hour is standardised for part-time workers. Online job portals are go to otherwise referrals. 20 hours of work is allowed per week for students. Competition is significant for securing on-campus part-time.

Placement

8

  • Almost no one gets employment before the completion of the course; only a handful of highly social or talented students are exceptional. Only 15% of the cohort get employed at the commencement of the course, and almost 25% are employed within 6 months of completing their course. Mostly, as the Ukraine and Russia war crisis started, they were struggling to find their jobs or to keep up with the financials, as the whole UK economy was going through turmoil.
  • Looking at the current situation, GBP 30,000-34,000.
  • Majorly, campus recruitments are less of a trend in UK universities, my cohort being the exception. There were significant hiring trends seen in Cranfield for the first time in the campus placement window. Most people rely on connections, internships, and job portals, and Cranfield also hosts its own.

Accommodation

Off Campus
6

  • I simply leveraged the University Reception. Before I booked flight tickets, I made sure my accommodation was secured, which I confirmed with the university reception for availability.

Exams

  • IELTS; SOP, LOR, CV. I received an overall 7.5; most UK university courses require 6.5 overall, but Cranfield is the exception. (Only a selected few candidates who secure a high level mark in their senior secondary in the subject english approximately more than 95% overall, are exempted from providing or sitting for any language test. Information must be confirmed, as the rules might change because of the merger.
  • IELTS Overall 7 Bands for MSc Automotive Engineering, I received an overall 7.5. Most UK university courses require 6.5 overall, but Cranfield is the exception.

Fees

  • GBP 30,000
