- Next PG deadline: 2 August 2026 for the primary September 2026 taught masters intake.
- Base tuition £27,870 to £59,500 (₹35.62 to ₹76.05 Lakhs) plus a £75 (₹9,586) PG application fee.
- Eligibility: UG 85%+ Class XII, PG 60%+ Bachelor’s, IELTS 6.5 (Band A) to 7.0 (Band B).
- Acceptance rate: around 13 to 14 percent enrolled, 60 percent UG offer rate.
Popular Indian-student picks at University of Warwick include the MSc Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, MSc Data Analytics, MSc Finance, and the WBS Full-time MBA. Students report strong career support and an active South Asian cohort that eases the first-year transition to Coventry.

Deadlines below are drawn from Warwick’s official postgraduate application page and the official UG key dates page.

Planning note: Popular masters programs such as MSc Business Analytics and MSc Finance often close well before 2 August 2026 because Warwick fills places on a rolling basis. Submit six to eight weeks before the on-time deadline.
University of Warwick Eligibility for Indian Students
Warwick sets separate academic and English-language thresholds by level. For Indian applicants, the university reads CBSE and ISC results directly and grades Bachelor’s degrees against a graded list of recognised institutions. State board results are considered on a case-by-case basis. English requirements are drawn from Warwick’s official PG English page.
Warwick Academic Eligibility for UG and PG
Undergraduate applicants must meet the CBSE or ISC equivalent of Warwick’s A-level ask for the chosen course. Postgraduate applicants must hold a Bachelor’s classified as 2:1 or above, translated by university category.
- UG general entry: Class XII around 85 percent (equivalent to AAA at A-level).
- UG STEM or competitive entry: Class XII 90 percent or higher (equivalent to A*AA to A*A*A).
- PG 2:1 for Category 1 (IITs, IIMs, NITs, IISERs, top central universities): minimum 65 percent.
- PG 2:1 for Category 2 institutions: minimum 60 percent.
- Not accepted: CBSE Applied Mathematics for Computer Science, Mathematics, and Statistics degrees.
Warwick English Language Bands
Warwick assigns every course to a band (A to D for PG, A to C for UG). Business, Law, and most Humanities sit at Band B or higher. STEM and Computer Science courses mostly sit at Band A.
- Band A (PG): IELTS 6.5 overall, no component below 6.0.
- Band B (PG): IELTS 7.0 overall, two components at 6.0/6.5 and the rest at 7.0 or higher.
- Band C (PG): IELTS 7.5 overall, two components at 6.5/7.0 and the rest at 7.5 or higher.
- UG bands: Band A IELTS 6.0 (min 5.5), Band B IELTS 6.5 (min 6.0), Band C IELTS 7.0 (min 6.5).
- Also accepted: TOEFL iBT 87 to 100, PTE 60 to 75, Duolingo 110 to 130 by band.
Warwick IELTS Waiver for Indian Students
Indian applicants can skip IELTS by submitting Class XII English (Elective or Core for CBSE, English Language and Literature for CISCE) at the required first-attempt score: 75 percent for Band A, 80 percent for Band B, and 85 percent for Band C courses. Postgraduate applicants can also waive testing if they completed a UK-recognised degree taught entirely in English within 2 years and 4 months of course start. Warwick does not accept IELTS One Skill Retake, and every test must be taken in one sitting within two years and one month of your course start.

Insider note: Category 1 status widens your candidate pool at Warwick, but scores below the categorised minimum are auto-rejected before human review. If your Bachelor’s is from a Category 2 institution, aim two to three percentage points above the 60 percent floor.
Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official University of Warwick admissions page for your chosen program before applying.

University of Warwick MBA Admissions
Warwick Business School runs the Full-time MBA at the Warwick Campus with a September 2026 start, plus Executive MBA and Global Online MBA variants. The 2026 tuition sits at £59,500 (₹76.05 Lakhs), with a £5,000 (₹6.39 Lakhs) deposit due four weeks after offer to secure the seat. Scholarships up to £29,750 (₹38.02 Lakhs) reduce that cost for exceptional candidates - see funding options for Indian students. Dates and figures are drawn from the official WBS Full-time MBA page.
Warwick MBA Entry Requirements
- Full-time MBA work experience: at least three years post-graduation professional business experience. Internships do not count.
- Executive MBA: typically five or more years including managerial responsibility.
- Global Online MBA: minimum three years work experience, with no fixed cap.
- Academic: preferred 2:1 (60 to 65 percent) Bachelor’s, though exceptional profiles without a formal degree are considered on merit.
- Test: GMAT, GRE, or the Warwick Test. Class average is GMAT 670 (10th Edition) or 615 (Focus Edition); GRE 160 Verbal and 160 Quant is competitive.
- English: IELTS 7.0 overall with no component below 6.0.
Warwick MBA Interview and Rounds
The Full-time MBA runs a rolling review with a final on-time deadline of 2 August 2026. Shortlisted candidates attend a competency-based interview with a WBS Admissions Director, either online or on campus. The interview covers career direction, leadership impact, and post-MBA plans. Applications from Indian candidates are typically processed within four weeks of a complete file. WBS does not run country-restricted rounds.
University of Warwick PhD Admissions
Warwick offers doctoral study across all faculties, with entry aligned to the September 2026 or January 2027 start. Applicants for September 2026 who require a UK visa must submit by 2 August 2026. Other start dates use a minimum three-month lead time before your intended start. All applications go through the eVision portal.
Warwick PhD Application Steps
- Identify a supervisor: match your research proposal to a faculty member listed on the department page and email them before you apply.
- Submit a research proposal: typically 1,500 to 3,000 words covering the question, method, and originality.
- Provide two academic references plus transcripts, English test score, and CV.
- Interview: most departments run a video interview with the potential supervisor before offer.
Warwick PhD Funding for Indian Applicants
The UKRI maintenance stipend for 2026/27 doctoral awards at Warwick is £21,300 (₹27.22 Lakhs) per year. The Chancellor’s International Scholarships cover full overseas tuition plus a maintenance stipend for 3.5 years and are competitive for South Asian candidates. Warwick’s Doctoral College also supports Commonwealth Scholarships for Indian applicants.
Insider note: A cold-emailed proposal to a Warwick supervisor with a specific link to their recent paper lifts your interview odds sharply. Generic "would you supervise me" emails go unanswered.
University of Warwick Application Process and Decisions
Warwick uses two channels: UCAS for undergraduate courses and the Warwick eVision applicant portal for postgraduate taught, research, and MBA applications. The steps below follow the postgraduate route since that is what most Indian applicants use in July 2026.
Warwick PG Application Steps
- Register on the eVision applicant portal and create your candidate profile.
- Complete the online form for your chosen course, including personal details, education history, and English test results.
- Upload documents: transcripts, degree certificate (or letter of expected award), CV, personal statement, and two references.
- Pay the application fee of £75 (₹9,586) on the Warwick eVision application portal. The fee is non-refundable.
- Submit and track: the department reviews your file, and status updates appear on eVision.
- Respond to the offer: most offers require a response within four to six weeks, and WBS masters plus MBA require a deposit to secure the seat.
Warwick Admission Decisions Timeline
Warwick departments release offer decisions within four to eight weeks of a complete PG submission during peak review. Standard offers are conditional on final Bachelor’s results plus IELTS, and applicants must submit final documents by mid-August 2026 to secure the September start. Deferrals are considered on request but not guaranteed, and you must reapply if you defer twice.
University of Warwick Documents Required
The document list below applies to Indian PG applicants. UG applicants submit the same underlying paperwork via UCAS. Certified English translations are only required if a document is not already in English.
Warwick PG Documents Checklist
- Colour scan of passport photo page, valid at least six months beyond course start.
- Class X, Class XII, and Bachelor’s transcripts and mark sheets (all pages).
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or provisional certificate if the final is pending.
- Personal statement of around 500 words tailored to the program.
- Two academic references on institutional letterhead (or work reference for MBA and executive courses).
- CV or resume covering education, internships, and any full-time work.
- English test score report from the accepted list (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo).
- GMAT or GRE score report for the MBA and some WBS masters.
- Research proposal of 1,500 to 3,000 words for PhD only.
Warwick asks for scanned uploads at the application stage. Certified originals are only required when you accept an offer and complete the pre-CAS checks.
University of Warwick Acceptance Rate
Warwick does not publish a single institutional acceptance rate. Third-party estimates place the enrolled-student rate at around 13 to 14 percent, calculated from applicant-to-enrolment ratios. The offer rate (candidates receiving a conditional offer) is significantly higher at around 60 percent for UG applicants, based on aggregate UCAS data patterns.
Warwick UG vs PG Selectivity
Undergraduate courses show a wide range across departments. Warwick Business School UG programs (Accounting, Finance, Economics) sit well below 20 percent enrolled, while Humanities departments show higher acceptance due to lower demand-to-place ratios. Postgraduate courses show an aggregate offer rate near 39 percent, though MSc Business Analytics and MSc Finance close early because seat caps fill.
Warwick Acceptance Rate for Indian Students
Indian applicants who meet the Category 1 or Category 2 minimums and hit Warwick’s IELTS band see offer rates comparable to the institution average. Sub-threshold applicants are auto-rejected without human review. For sharper positioning, cross-check Warwick’s ranking band against the departments you are targeting.
Insider note: Warwick reads the Class X English mark alongside Class XII when using Class XII for an IELTS waiver. A weak Class X English score can push you back to IELTS even if your Class XII English is 80 percent-plus.
University of Warwick UK Student Visa Guide
Indian applicants offered a Warwick seat need a UK Student Visa (formerly Tier 4). Apply from India after Warwick issues a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), which is issued only once you accept the offer and clear pre-CAS conditions such as unconditional academic status, IELTS proof, and initial fee deposit. The CAS is valid for six months and can be used only once. Warwick’s own visa guidance sits on the official student visa page.
Financial proof is the single biggest cause of Warwick visa refusals. Warwick’s Coventry campus is outside London, so you must show £1,136 per month (₹1.45 Lakhs) for up to 9 months, totalling £10,224 (₹13.07 Lakhs) in a personal or parental account for 28 consecutive days before the visa application. Parental funds require a birth certificate and a consent letter. You also pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) at £776 per year (around ₹99,180) and the visa fee of £524 (around ₹66,972). A TB test at an IOM-approved centre is mandatory for Indian nationals for stays over six months.
2026 update: UK Home Office now cross-verifies bank statements against source-of-funds disclosures at the visa interview. Sudden lump-sum deposits inside the 28-day window trigger additional questions and refusals.
Tips for University of Warwick Admissions
The following tips are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at University of Warwick over the last three admission cycles.
- Apply by mid-June for PG: most WBS masters and MSc Computer Science close six weeks before the 2 August deadline because seat caps fill.
- Test above the floor: aim for IELTS 7.0 on Band A courses so you have room for one weak component.
- Use the Class XII English waiver: a Class XII English score of 75 percent-plus (first attempt) saves the IELTS fee and time.
- Tune the personal statement to your target module: Warwick reviewers reject cookie-cutter statements that could fit any UK Russell Group university.
- Get referees on institutional letterhead: reference emails sent from personal Gmail addresses are treated as unverified.
- Front-load the deposit: the WBS £5,000 (₹6.39 Lakhs) MBA deposit is due four weeks after offer, so budget it before you apply.
University of Warwick Admissions Checklist
The following steps cover what Indian applicants typically complete before the on-time deadline, mapped to weeks out from the target date.
- 10 weeks out: book IELTS or TOEFL and request Class X, XII, and Bachelor’s transcripts from your school and university.
- 8 weeks out: shortlist two Warwick departments, draft the personal statement, and email two academic referees.
- 6 weeks out: submit the eVision application, upload documents, and pay the £75 (₹9,586) application fee.
- 4 weeks post-offer: lodge the WBS or MBA deposit if applicable and open the 28-day bank statement window.
- 2 weeks post-CAS: book the TB test at an IOM-approved centre and start the online UK Student Visa application.
- 1 week before travel: pay the tuition first-instalment, book Warwick Accommodation, and arrange forex plus a UK bank starter card.
University of Warwick’s Indian intake is decided in the two months before 2 August 2026 and the January 2027 UCAS deadline. Meet the Category minimums, hit your IELTS band on the first attempt, and file six weeks early to avoid the seat-cap squeeze on Business, Finance, and Data programs.

- Diverse set of mathematicians specialising in various fields.
- Scenic campus with forest trails and serenity.
- Cannot ask for a better education academically, on par with the cutting edge of the field.
Dislikes
- Limited and expensive food options.
- Loneliness and isolation can become tough to handle.
- There is no placement in the British system, there is support, but you are basically on your own when job hunting.
Scholarship
- No, I didn't receive any scholarship during my course since there wasn't any available or the scholarships were not applicable for the course I was taking. The University of Manchester did have a few, if I remember correctly.
- It is next to impossible to get a scholarship in STEM nowadays, in my opinion. Nor did any of the people I knew have one.
Likes
- Academic Structure is concrete with seminars, lectures and asynchronous tasks
- Scenery is beautiful with flowers and trees and usually snow.
- Closed campus which is very safe
Dislikes
- Food catering is not present
- Fire alarm checking every week early morning
- For my course very few electives in first year
Scholarship
- I did not apply for or receive any scholarships. None of my batchmates have scholarships but I recall there was an option regarding financial aid. The scholarships are pretty rare and must have strict criteria. There is a Global Excellence scholarship, which has many branches, with some including full fees or other benefits. I believe around 400 students receive scholarships every year.
Likes
- I really liked how diverse Warwick is, there are students from all over the world which give students the opportunity to engage with people from different backgrounds and learn about their cultures.
- It’s a massive 720 acres campus, felt like a small student city itself where one can do so much. There’s cafes, restaurants, pubs, sports complex, theatre etc everything within the same campus so it became super easy to socialise and make friends.
- There are 13 different accommodations to choose from, they all have different characteristics for example private washrooms, shared washrooms, small rooms, big rooms etc, basically a place for everyone based on your preferences. They also allocate your accommodate based on your personality by making you fill out a quick personality questionnaire which I think is a nice thing you do. For example, some people prefer party hostels which some prefer quiet ones.
Dislikes
- It’s an expensive place to study, the tuition fees can be quite exorbitant plus the living expenses on campus are quite high. Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to afford
- The wifi on campus used to buffer a lot and caused a lot of problems especially when I was in first year. I wish they had better wifi throughout campus
- The coursework and the grading can be quite intense sometimes. Given it’s a highly competitive university, it can be a bit difficult to understand the coursework and score high grades. The professors were quite strict in terms of grading assignments and didn’t give high scores too easily unless it was an exceptional piece of work.
Scholarship
- I didn't receive any scholarship but there was the undergraduate global excellence scholarship available in 2021. They had three different categories, covering 2000 GBP, 13000 GBP and full tuition fees.
- They had different number of scholarships available under every category and it also changes every year so it must be quite different than what it used to be 4 years back.
Likes
- The campus and green cover, especially the different forests and walkways
- The facilities associated with my department
- The classroom amenities
Dislikes
- Less no. of bikes to roam within the campus
- The area allocated to Life science department (it could have been bigger)
- The in-campus grocery store could have been cheaper
Scholarship
- No, I didn't receive any scholarship. Two of my classmates did receive School of Life Science scholarship (internal to the university) and one was a chevening scholar.
- The SLS scholarships at that time were awarded as 5000 GBP reduced from the tuition fees. On an average, 2 to 5 five people do get awarded internal scholarships from the SLS, Warwick.
- The rest can apply for the Vice chancellor's scholarships, If available. These have to be applied for very early during the application process.
Likes
- The campus is huge and lovely to walk around in the evenings
- On-campus accommodations have nice diverse students living
- The professors and career coaches are really helpful

- Probably that they have online lectures and then smaller workshops
- There are just too many south-asian students feeling like I don't see a huge diverse crowd (But that's the case of any UK university)
- Time just flies by in self-studying, assignments, lectures, workshops and then internships and extra-curriculars

- Weather conditions and climate these are the two main things we have to adjust .

- The infrastructure of the university is amazing such that no two building would look the same. Despite that, every departments (WMG, WBS etc) facility are very unique and specific to those. The lake closer to WMG buildings are for all students of Warwick but sometimes you feel connected to it since you have classes every day, you see all 4 seasons of weather occurring by the trees as they start to change colour from red to yellow, wither off and grow again.
- The centre of the campus will always be my favourite where all events, food stalls happen every week. Also to note, there will be always something interesting happening every day – could be small art gallery, dance festival et.
- Networking events – As a Warwick student, I am lucky to attends many networking events with various companies of different sizes and different roles. During the induction period, networking sessions happen every day for roughly 1.5 months and still continues to happen later but as in weekly once.

- Certain modules (SFEO), I had replacement teacher teaching that module and wasn’t happy to how the first batch was taught. Though, every teacher teaches differently, SFEO was more of one way communication, a lecture where they was no interactive session at all.
- Modules likes BDAI were taught as literal lecture with 70 slides per day, no interaction between teacher and student. Despite that, there was no prerequisites for the module which meant that everything taught made zero sense to most of the students. It was so advanced directly focusing on advanced machine learning and algorithms. I wish it was more structures.
- I really wished the program I studied was given a placement year option since the program itself is very generic as you cover all subjects on the surface level. For example - Compared to people who do specialization in supply chain and studying supply chain on very basic level plays a significant role while applying for jobs.
Scholarship
- I didn’t receive any scholarships during my study.
- Many of my batchmates had received scholarships, which roughly ranged from 10 to 30%. I am not sure about the average scholarship given each award amount, but I believe about 20 students must have received scholarships, and each was different, some being Commonwealth, Entrepreneurial, and country-specific as well.

- It is a very diverse university. So you meet new kinds of people every day, and it is never a trouble to find fellow Indians. - The academics push you mentally. They foster overall growth.
Dislikes
- It is a campus university and not in a big city such as London, which can be a downside to some people.
Overview
I chose the University of Warwick as it is very prestigious and highly ranked for my course. My overall Uni experience has been a very good learning opportunity not just about academics but also about life skills.

- I was offered admission in a few other universities but I chose WBS because it is highly ranked in the world. It is in the top 20 business schools and the facilities at WBS are unmatched. The business school has many accreditations and also offers career service with its own career service portal. The university has a very high reputation and the teaching standards are peak. It really challenges me to push my limits and it offers the perfect inoculum for growth be it academic, professional or personal.
- The infrastructure, ambience, diversity, standards and reputation that we feel at this place is really awesome and it makes you want to work hard and bring out the best possible version of you. The challenges are really painstaking but the fruit of it is really worth it and prepares you for a life beyond campus life.

- It is quite expensive to even live a meagre life here. It can be financially challenging and the university is quite far away from major cities like London and Manchester. Getting medical attention in the UK is really challenging and is a big hurdle.
Overview
The course is very challenging and managing all of it far away from home really makes you come out of your comfort zone and do your best. The cohort is very diverse and enables you to make friends and acquaintances all over the world and let you understand their perspectives and thoughts. I am in deep awe of the infrastructure and standards set by the university and the very beautiful campus set in an English country side. Every subject is challenging and requires you to give your best. The faculty is really wonderful and so is the curriculum.

- I decided to come to University of Warwick as it is one of the most reputable universities out there. It is ranked 4th for Economics and that was deal sealer.
- It's diversity and inclusion of people from all cultures. It's helps me grow in my own space and provides enough opportunity to thrive. The classes are divided into smaller cohort which helps in better understanding of important concepts and problems.
Dislikes
- The time-frame for each module is really short and sometimes things feel a bit rushed, but I think it is a general problem for all Universities here. As, we get less time and simply we are not used such fast paced study back in India.
