The course is very challenging and managing all of it far away from home really makes you come out of your comfort zone and do your best. The cohort is very diverse and enables you to make friends and acquaintances all over the world and let you understand their perspectives and thoughts. I am in deep awe of the infrastructure and standards set by the university and the very beautiful campus set in an English country side. Every subject is challenging and requires you to give your best. The faculty is really wonderful and so is the curriculum.

Course Curriculum

10

My course curriculum is highly modern and updated. Any event that affects the business topic in real time would be incorporated into the discussion workshops by the professors. The course syllabus covers all basic needed knowledge for one to excel in the topic and pushes the students to self research more and incorporate it into the weekly discussion workshops.

Exams

My scores: IELTS 8.5 (2023) Bachelors: 78.9% (2023) Minimum requirement of IELTS 7 (WBS). You are required to submit an SoP, LoRs and your CV along with the IELTS score for your application to WBS. The SoP should clearly reflect your passion for the chosen subject, how you would be a wonderful fit to the cohort, your resilience and team work capabilities, out of the box thinking, your desire to pursue studies abroad- the reason for it. Mentioning instances to portray your adaptability and flexibility to mingle with new circumstances, places, people and challenges might be helpful. A well structured SoP is the key element in getting your application stand out from the large pool and thus it plays a pivotal role in your assessment. A well stated Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from your previous institution or workplace is required. The university will ask for two LoRs and it will be more impactful if it is given by your professor or your HoD rather than the principal or head of the institution as they tend to know you more personally to write a meaningful LoR rather than a generic one. A CV is also required to be submitted during the application process. Creating a CV that suits the standards of the Business school or university will be highly advised. Sticking to a standard country based CV format can also further your chances for getting in.

Placement

WBS is a well renowned institution among employers both in the UK and abroad. The B school conducts networking events for its students to get a deeper understanding of the employers and job markets. You can refer to the average salary post studies and placements that previous cohort students have got in the business school website for more clear, up to date information.

Internship

As I am an international postgrad student, my permissible work hours are limited to 20 hrs a week during classes and 40 during holidays. If the internship criteria fits within this limit you can do one. Since my studies are too hectic and challenging I have opted not to pursue any internship on the side.

Fees

The tuition fee for my course MINT during 2023 was 32500 GBP, but the rates might have changed as the universities ranking has gone further above.

Faculty

9

The faculty at WBS are top notch and you have easy access to them. The professors are highly qualified (mostly PhD holders) who ensures the topic is delivered to the students in the right manner. The professor for Digital Strategy and Agile transformation, Mr Sotirios Paroutis is one such amazing professor who makes the class interesting and relevant from all aspects.

Campus Life

The campus is extremely huge with all facilities you could ask for. The wifi is fast and available mostly all around the campus. There is a top class sports center which you can access with payment and the library is huge and modern. There are ample learning spaces all around the campus which you can make use of. The campus is really safe during all times and it also has its own bus interchange that connects it to nearby towns and cities. Warwick also offers numerous amount of clubs and societies which you can join to make the most out of your campus life. Warwick offers student well being services to keep you emotionally strong and heard. The University of Warwick has premium research facilities that makes it one of the most sought after campuses in Europe.

Hostel

10

The university provides quite a few options for accommodations within the university and the facilities in them differs with the accommodation chosen by the students. I chose the university provided accommodation in Sherbourne Halls of Residence. I personally love the facility and it suits my preferences. The building has got good heating and wifi. The rooms are ensuite and the kitchen is shared between 12 flat mates. Kitchen sharing is not a problem as the kitchens are big enough to accommodate everyone. Apart from the residences managed by the university, there are a few great privately managed options around the university as well. University provided accommodations can be costly. I pay around 9700 GBP for it. Accommodations outside the university can be cheaper but do consider the other expenses you could incur as you would have to pay for utilities and transportation.
