Remarks

positive is that I have the brand of being a CETian and getting to be in par with the alumnus of this institution, but other than that nothing else. There is a need of putting in more effort to ensure students reach the heights they deserve. There is no information about career or education opportunities where the students can diversify into

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Semester Based examination conducted by University of Kerala, syllabus revision was a bit slow and contained outdated content. Exams were based on classes or lectures delivered. Relevancy of the content is sometimes questionable. I had to look into other sources to get content that was lacking in the curriculum but relevant to the industry

Placement Experience

2

There are internships when I studied and the current University APJ AKTU requires students to undertake internships, but it's still a long way from the actual needs of students and industry. There initiatives to ensure industry institution interaction but that also is kind of far away from the actual needs. I had a non paying internship

College Events

4

There were events in our college, all major festivals were celebrated, Disha, Drishti, etc, cultural and arts feats, technical feats etc happened in the campus. Evenings were filled with music concerts by famous musicians,DJs during these days. Other celebrations of religious festivals, camps etc happened. Workshops etc brought intellectuals and techies into our campus giving more information on fields otherwise unknown

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's government fees and very meagre even for general category students and for students from other categories they have no fees at all or are given scholarship or such stipends by the government of Kerala

Fees and Financial Aid

I received GATE scholarship provided by AICTE through our college, though our college only had a minimum role of entering our attendance, all the money came in from the central government. Actually that made the life in campus a bit more easier, as we were able to meet our monthly expenses in a better way and didn't require any loans to Cater to our educational needs

Campus Life

3

There are facilities for all the courses, but for my course it was considered to be kept in the corner without much importance. Lack of facilities and support infrastructure led to frustrating situations.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We didn't get into the College provided hostels as there were no seats available. I personally had to rent spaces outside the campus to stay and had to walk to other places to have food. So post graduate students don't get much importance there and comes last in the order of preference in hostel application

Alumni/Alumna

No comments, alumni network is all self centric and rather than the occasional hi-bye nothing else is good. Personally they bring placement opportunities to graduate students, Post graduate students gets very less opportunities. Nothing mentioning worthwhile comes up in placement or other sessions. The annual alumni bash and celebrations. Some Alumni sponsored infrastructure is all available for the college.

Admission

I had written the gate exam and applied for admission via a state wide application process. All candidates applied through the directorate of technical education web portal and they prepared a familiar for GATE qualified and Non- GATE qualified candidates based on their ranks and percentage marks in B.Tech level. If two had same marks in B.Tech level, the person with the highest gate score was considered

Faculty

3.5

College has a legacy and it's history hides its flaws. Though not of the IIT or NIT standards the College has its own merits. The influx of political parties sometimes spoils the mood and even makes the best students lazy as they move into politics
