A very reputed University in Assam

The positivity of our University is that our University is one of the most reputed University in Assam. Many students from outside of Assam came here to study. And I think the negativity of our University is only that it provides reservation system based on caste, which is not right I think.

The MCA (Master of Computer Application) is a three years post graduation technical course. In Cotton University, the MCA is consist of six semesters in three years each of six months. In each semesters there are two terms of exams. Mid term and end term. The mid term is of 30 marks and the end term is of 70 marks. And the total GPA is calculated by adding the marks of these two exams.

As mentioned in our syllabus, the last semester that is the sixth semester is consist of only one paper which is a Major Project. Now I am in 3rd semester and that Major Project yet to come. In that particular Project, students are about to choose an organization and our main aim is to make a software which can function all the paperwork by that software.

Our University celebrates many Major events. Some of them are educational, some of them are cultural, some of them for entertainment etc. Each of the departments celebrates freshmen social day differently. The University also celebrates the University week once in a year which consists of many different games for students and in the final day we invite a singer to participate in the cultural night. Also our University celebrates Independent day, republic day, Saraswati puja, bihu etc.

The fee structure is very feasible in our University. Our University takes 8150 as fees for one year. And all the other courses are almost same. Maximum of the courses takes admission fees less than 10 thousand for one year. As compared to other University, the admission fees and many other fees of the Cotton University is very low.

Our University doesn't provide any scholarships to the students. But in the last year I got an scholarship from Ministry of Minority Affairs in the scheme of Merit Cum means scholarship. Last year I got 30000 scholarship.

If any student has knowledge in any field, then our University is one of the best place for opportunities to go ahead in that particular field. In sports and in many other fields, our University has a great opportunity.

No, I haven't opted for the hostel of our University. Add many of my friends are staying nearby or University in pain guest so I stay with them in a private pain guest. But also I visited our University hostels, they are also very nice.

Yes, the comments from our seniors are very helpful. As they were studying in our University before my admission so they know our University more than we know. So their comments are very helpful for us.

After I cleared my graduation (BCA) I filled the online form for entrance examination to take admission into MCA. I had attended the entrance examination and after 10 to 15 days the result declared and I was in the waiting list. And again I attended in the day is admission and then I was selected to take admission. And I got admitted.

The faculties of our college are very nice and very experienced. We have our permanent professors as well as contractual professors. And all the teachers are very strict about the practical classes. Many of the professors among them has Ph.D.
