- Managing practicals, projects, coding competitions, etc along with theory and exams can be a bit hectic sometimes.
- The campus could have been a bit bigger and more spacious.
- There are hardly any cultural fests and activities which feels a bit odd
Course Curriculum Overview
The course has been a nice mix of theory and practical work. We don't just sit through lectures all day there are coding sessions, projects, assignments, and hands on activities that make the subjects easier to understand. It feels like you are learning skills that you'll use later. One thing I noticed after joining is that the classes don't feel the same every day. Some days are regular lectures while on others we are working on coding problems, assignments or small projects. That change keeps things interesting.
Fees and Financial Aid
First when I checked about the fees, honestly I was doubtful whether I should join or not. Because the fees looked much higher. I almost ignored it and started looking for other options, then I had a talk with someone from NIAT's admission team. And then I got to know about the scholarship process. My BTech fee is around 16lakh for four years but then I sat for the NAT exam which is the entrance test of NIAT and based on my score in it, I got 50% scholarship. And that meant a lot for me. A lot of my fee got reduced which made the course much more affordable.
Campus Life
My overall experience has been really good and enjoyable because college life isn't just about attending classes. I spend a lot of time with friends at the cafe, in the library, at the gym or just hanging out in the common areas after classes. I have also joined a few workshops and club activities which helped me meet new people and learn skills. The campus is clean, well maintained and has everything we need in one place so it's easy to balance studies with social life. Overall it's been a comfortable and enjoyable environment to grow both academically and personally
Admission
I looked at a few other colleges before making any decision but this one felt like the better fit for me. I wanted a place where I could learn more than just the syllabus. The focus on coding, hands on projects, internships and skills development was something I didn't find everywhere. I also liked that the college encourages students to prepare for their careers from the beginning instead of waiting until the final year. After comparing my options I felt this was the place where I would get the most opportunities to learn and grow and that's why I chose it
Faculty
The mentors here are one of the best things about NIAT. They are extremely supportive and always willing to help us in every way possible. They are friendly and always patient with us. They are always ready to explain things to us again and again if we don't understand something. They are the best in whatever they do
Night Life
My overall experience has been really enjoyable. Staying in the hostel has made college life even better because you are always surrounded by friends whether it's studying together, grabbing a late evening snack or just relaxing after classes. Inside the campus, the cafeteria, library, gym and open seating areas are the most popular places where students usually hang out. Whenever we want a break from campus we often visit nearby cafes and food spots around the college to spend time together.
