Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty-student ratio is 1:13 and teachers are mostly approachable and helpful. Curriculum is industry-oriented with internships, projects, and tools like AutoCAD and GIS, useful for jobs and higher studies. Improvements needed in more site visits, better labs, and deeper core subject focus. Exams are semester-based with internals + finals, moderate difficulty; regular study helps in passing easily.
Placement Experience
Placements start from 6th–7th semester. Companies like Deloitte, EY, TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant visit campus. Highest package can go up to around ₹10–12 LPA, average around ₹4–5 LPA. About 60–70% students get placed, depending on branch. After degree, I plan for job or higher studies (M.Tech/GATE).
Fees and Financial Aid
I was admitted to B.Tech Civil Engineering (Lateral Entry) in 2023. The total tuition fee for the course was approximately ₹5.9–6.2 lakh for 3 years along with one-time registration /admission charges and refundable caution money. The university also offered merit-based and need-based scholarships to eligible students
Campus Life
Campus life at Shoolini is peaceful and moderately active. Cultural fest “Moksh” is held around March–April, with technical events and hackathons throughout the year. Library has good books and e-resources. Smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, and labs are available. Sports like cricket, football, and badminton are offered. Clubs and student societies help in cultural, technical, and personality development.
Admission
I also considered other private colleges like chandigarh university and LPU. I chose shoolini university due to its better research focus ,peaceful campus and lower crowd pressure . Addmission are generally through JEE/ CUET or direct merits
Faculty

Nightlife at Shoolini is calm and hostel-based. Campus, library, cafeteria, and gym close by 6–8 PM. After that students stay in hostels, watch movies, play indoor games, or do group study. Hostel timings are strict. Inside campus hangouts are gardens and common rooms. Outside, Solan Mall Road and cafés are visited in daytime. Area is safe but not active at night.
