Course Curriculum Overview
The course includes all the domains that are required for us to study for our specific specialisation. For example my course MBA in oil and gas management had subjects related to Oil and Equity storage, foundational knowledge, fundamentals of oil and gas, refineries etc. Other than that we were taught domains of MBA itself like HRM, marketing, finance etc. So basically it's a proper structured coursework.
Placement Experience
The Placements here are decent, 3 out of 4 students are placed here but it solely depends on the student how well versed he/she is throughout the course. Ofcourse the university provides you with ample of opportunities but at the end it's upto the student of well he/she has pushed themselves through it
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my course "MBA in Oil and Gas Management" was round about 15,00,000 approximately for 2 years. The fee structure per semester came upto 3,25,000-3,75,000 excluding personal expenses and optional charges. The fee structure remained largely similar during my entire course duration with only minor revisions announced by university. This fee structure was after the Uttarakhand domicile scholarship which gave me a 30% off on the total fees and is given to students who are the residents of Uttarakhand. Other students who were not the residents of Uttarakhand paid about 18,00,000 as their tuition fees.
Campus Life
The campus life is amazing here with various club societies, events held in various domains. It keeps the student involved and gives them opportunity to explore and get out of their comfort zones. I joined the FIPI society because it was related to my domain and it gave me alot of exposure beyond classroom studies.
Admission
I chose this college because I wanted to pursue MBA in oil and gas management which is the flagship course here. Other colleges did not particularly had this course, UPES was closer to my place and had a good placement record that's the reason I chose this college over other colleges.
Faculty
For every subject there would be different faculties who are mostly really very supportive since the start till the end. I really appreciate Atul Rawat Sir, Anirudh Sir, Binod Sir and Pramod Sir who have been there throughout a rock in the entire course duration. Without their unwavering support, I wouldn't be able to understand the basics of my domain. Throughout the course there are 8 exams, 4 mid semester exams and 4 end semester exams. Mostly students pass the exams as the concepts taught at the class are very much understood.
Interview Experience
I had a personal interview and a written examination to get into the college. It usually has the basic Mathe, English and logical questions which are not very hard to crack. You can easily qualify the test if you've good preparation or practice
Night Life
The night life here is pretty decent, we have alot of cafés, hangout spots outside college which keeps us entertained. Moreover we have gym facilities, various sports events held in the campus area which is very cool and wouldn't keep you bored.
