What Students Say
Likes
- The number of companies that visited and did process witht the college for my course - MCA, was th highest among all other universities offering the same course
- The scenic beauty of UPES campus, is outstanding. 2-3 years will glide off beautifully and with very lovly memories
Dislikes
- Some of the student crowd, which was just there because of scenery and addictions, was very irritating. Staying away from such people was a task
Course Curriculum Overview
The relevance of MCA course subjects is good - according to the things asked in the IT interviews by conventions. But, since now AI is here, and things are evolving, old theoretical learning should be interchanged with hands-on smart ways of studying.
Placement Experience
The best a college can provide in these financially difficulties, is provided by UPES. The number of companies this college brought, has out-ranked any other college/university providing MCA course. The highest was a 25 LPA package at Salesforce.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester, the fee was around 2.5 Lac. Since my degree was of 2 years (MCA), the total was 5lac. I did receive academic scholarship after my first year of around 38%, which was amongst the highest of the academic scholarships in the batch of 240 students. Apart from that, 20K was security deposite, and admission and registration fee included around 50k.
Campus Life
The campus life is great, you see the beautifull scenery outside the window. Sports and entertainment is all around. The fests are happening and so hot. It is all in all, a very fun vibe in and around.
Admission
Other college don't provide these many placement opportunities as this college does - for MCA. the ROI is great here, and I spent beautiful 2 years here enjoying the views outside my class windows. The connections i have built here, are life-long.
Faculty
Each semester was filled with different courses, and each semester included specialisation subjects. The faculty, is a mix - some were so good, that I think I might've found connections for life, and some, I wouldn't even want to remember after I complete my degree. Each semester had 2 sets of exams - mid sems and end sems. With the weightage as follows - 50% internals, 20% mid sems, 30% end sems.
Night Life
Since the college is in the outskirts, it is not very happening around the campus. It is 80% just hostels, PGs, and food joints supporting them, so it all gets closed and silent thereafter. So, very few people will be visible on the road after 9 pm.
