Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum at UPES is industry-oriented with case studies, projects, and internships. Exams are semester-based and moderately difficult. More practical training and live projects can further improve industry readiness.

Internships Opportunities

5

UPES provides internship opportunities in companies like Asian Energy Services, Deloitte, and GlobalData for roles in research, operations, analytics, and procurement. Stipends vary from ?10k–25k/month. Projects include market research, data analysis, and supply chain tasks.re

Placement Experience

5

Placement procedure is good and transparent. Every eligible candidate get placement according to there elegibility. You can also get a placement after the completion of college. They say lifetime placement opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

18 lakhs fees and scholarship provided by domicile and on graduation marks basis. The fee structure at UPES for MBA courses is comparatively higher than many private universities but provides good infrastructure, industry exposure, and placement support. The total fee for the complete 2-year MBA program is generally around ?14–18 lakhs depending on the specialization selected. In the first year, students pay tuition fees, admission fees, registration charges, caution deposit, development fees, and other academic charges, which together come to around ?7–9 lakhs. The second-year fees are almost similar, mainly including tuition and examination-related charges. Hostel and mess fees are separate and may range between ?1.5–2.5 lakhs per year depending on room type and facilities. Students from different categories such as SC/ST may receive government scholarship benefits according to state or central government policies. UPES also offers merit-based scholarships for students with good CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores and strong academic performance. Scholarships can range from 10% to 100% tuition fee waiver depending on eligibility criteria. Some students also avail financial assistance through education loans and merit-cum-need support. The fee structure has slightly increased over recent years due to improved campus facilities, industry collaborations, international exposure programs, and placement activities. Overall, the university offers modern infrastructure, experienced faculty, and decent placement opportunities, making the investment worthwhile for students who actively participate in academics, internships, and skill development activities.

Campus Life

5

Campus life at UPES is vibrant with cultural fests, technical events, clubs, and sports activities throughout the year. Smart classrooms, a well-equipped library, and active student clubs create a good balance between academics, networking, and extracurricular growth.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities at UPES are decent with Wi-Fi, study tables, beds, security, laundry, and regular cleaning. Mess food quality is average with both veg and non-veg options. Hostel registration is smooth but fees are slightly expensive.

Admission

I chose UPES because of its industry-oriented curriculum, strong focus on Energy and Management studies, and better industry exposure compared to other colleges I applied to. Admission is based on CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores followed by PI. The process was smooth and student-friendly.

Faculty

5

They are very knowledgeable and more aligned to current industry exposure. The faculty members at UPES are experienced, qualified, and supportive. Most professors have strong academic backgrounds along with industry exposure, which helps students understand practical business scenarios. The faculty-to-student ratio is decent, allowing students to interact personally with professors for academic guidance, projects, internships, and placement preparation. Most faculty members are approachable and encourage participation in discussions, presentations, and case-study-based learning. The course curriculum is industry-oriented and regularly updated according to current business and market trends. It includes case studies, presentations, research work, projects, internships, and skill-development activities that help students become industry ready.

Interview Experience

5

I have faced the written assessment test for entery level and a personal interview. XAT - 50% and MAT score - 60% for taking admission in the college and average marks in 10th, 12th and graduation marks.

Night Life

5

Before 9:30 we have to come to the hostel. Gym, cafeteria and library are open till 9:30. Campus timing who lives outside of hostel is 6 pm and lots of hangout places inside the college like dominos , HOD, cafeteria, sports amenities and many small cafes.

Remarks:

The cafeteria at the campus is an ideal place to chill out after the hectic class schedule. It provides the students the much needed platform to relax and recharge for the subsequent sessions. Also, it provides a space for professional dialogue where the students can have discussions on various topics/projects of interest over a cup of hot/cold coffee.
