Remarks

No negatives i felt on three years, more positives, if u come across loyola you will become a real men and woman, Loyola will teach u the excellence, humanity, self love, nation care, students pride.

Course Curriculum Overview

Excellent education system, they focus mainly on personality development, growing with spirituality, stafs are has trademark in teaching, exam process they has two CIA and one final exam on every semester.

Placement Experience

Every 6th sem we will get job festival, they offering various MNCs for interviews. 90% of placements will happen every academic year, every 5th sem we need to go for internship on varios companys, stipend based on inten.

College Events

Loyola Oveation is one of the best inter college fest over india, every year we will celebrate 2days for ovations, nearly 100+ celebritys will attended as guest, all southindian colleges know about this event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to other autonomous college only loyola has less fee and more quality education. And we will get instalments to pay fee, also if u are from poor background sure we will get fee concession sure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every BC SC ST and low background students will get 100% scholarship facilities minimum 30%of fees, loan for SC ST have loan facilities via bank, it will help for paying fee. Every year will get this facilities.

Campus Life

Compared education loyola will concentrat on extracurricular activities, you will get more chances to show case, loyola will have trademark for sports, we offer free education fr sports students and sports man and woman's.

Hostel Facilities

More then college every loyotie pray to get Loyola Hostel, best hostel in india, infrastructure is awesome, remarkable food and maintenance, u will get 3verity of messes for food, indian, veg food, non veg food.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah loyola has alumni association every year we have alumni function like festival, we having funds for doing alumni met, one of the best thing is alumni meating. Oir alumni are available all over the world.

Admission

Applied via mannual application annd selected on second selection list. It Will take 2weeks to get to know the status. Then had interview with department stafs finaly got selected. Also samme process for hostel

Faculty

Excellent staffs, they had trademark teaching skills. They treat students are like friends, way of teaching was excellent, especially lab and practical teaching was upto mark, we can offer to ask doubts at any time.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

LIFE IN HIMT COLLEGE

Likes

System and the Rules followed in this college
Hierarchy system such as committe heads, cadet captains etc
Infrastructure mainly the football and cricket turf

Dislikes

Punishments, because you will get punished when one of your batchmate did anything wrong
Compared to other colleges himt is not celebrating that much for festivals
Regular musters, You will have to attend minimum 3 muster a day

Placement Experience:

I am placed in MOLMI. And sincerely thank HIMT for the placement. The other companies who Recruits cadets from HIMT are Zodiac, MOLTA, Sanmar, Genco, Ozler ONE shipping etc . HIMT have good placement records of 100%, if you have no arrears then for sure will get placed

THE IDEAL COLLEGE LIFE!

Likes

The opportunities to meet new people and interact with a whole new circle of people by Club Activities as there are quite a lot of clubs according to the student's interest.
Many places to showcase our singing and dancing talent once we join the club or take part in any of the department events.
They have multiple labs for a single department so that the students get a lot of hands on training for coding and as well as hardware.

Dislikes

4:3 Ratio of Girls to Boys in my class and i hope it's the same for all the departments as well.
The college timing can go from 8:30 AM to 5:10PM.
The 75% attendance is kind of doable and maintainable to an extent.

Placement Experience:

about 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed afdter the colleg and the ones not placed also gets placed after the college with high network and communication from other contacts within the college, ZOHO Corp does take placements and i am preparing for my CAT exams as i am planning for My highers at IIM, 5th semester is when the students become eligible for the campus placements and the seniors are a good connection who help to get places and get a job after the completion of degree.

Nothing much but have got some friends you fall into this pit exactl like me

Hostel , mess food and mess hall , no facilities for marine practical

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teaching methods of marine faculties are excellent but in my course they add some additional subject like tamil and hindi which are useless and no neede for a mariner as the marine faculties are good in teaching and explaining but they also having difficulty in teaching as the requirements didn't meet from the college management
