Remarks

College is good in terms of talent coming to the campus. There is a serious need to look at the faculty. Other than the college management/faculty part, things are good.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for UPSEE, ranked approx. 4000. Selection of college was based on its Government status and economical fee compared to private colleges. My first preference was college not branch, so whatever branch I got during counseling I accepted.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is good. In chemical engineering, all aspects have been covered in curriculum. For new students, I would suggest to take Petroleum Engineering as an elective. The essential courses like heat transfer, mass transfer, process calculation, thermodynamics, unit operations etc. have been included in the course.

Internships Opportunities

They encourage for internship but do not provide help to find good opportunities. Students have to find it by themselves.

Placement Experience

3

For CS/IT there are good opportunities. Mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Accenture and many more recruit. Most of the companies do not visit the campus but they allow the students to appear for placements in some other college. Companies like ADOBE also started recruiting from BIET, but very few students are selected. The core companies rarely visit the campus and the companies which visit the campus for mechanical/civil/chemical engineers are not good one. The students of these core branches try for off-campus recruitment. Most of the students from core branches go for higher studies. The general package offered by the recruiter ranges from 2.5 lpa to 4 lpa. Only the companies like Adobe are offering more than 8 lpa. More than 50% get the placements courtesy to mass recruiters like TCS/Infosys/Accenture/HCL

College Events

4.5

Many cultural and technical societies are there. Once in four year the college organizes a state level cultural fest and a state level sports competition. Branch-wise societies have been made which organize various tech/cultural events within branch. Every year college level cultural and technical events are organized.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very concrete. Compared to private institutions, the fee is significantly less. the hostel and mess charges are very cheap. During my days, the tuition fee was approx. 25k/year and other charges were approx. 7 k/year. Hostel + mess charges were 13k/year. So overall 45k/year was the fee during my college days. Currently, the total fee per year is 65k.

Fees and Financial Aid

Do not have enough information. The government provide scholarship for economically weak students. Anyone can avail the education loan from any bank.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good. It is a very nice campus. Students can roam freely here and there. Since the location of college is outside the city, there is no issue of pollution and noise. There is a 20% reservation for girls, so the gender ratio is satisfactory. Most of the students are from Uttar Pradesh, so you cannot expect huge diversity in terms of language and culture. Hostel life is good. Sports facilities are also satisfactory. Badminton, volleyball courts have been provided. There is a big sports ground, which is utilized for cricket, football and cultural events. Annually, there are sports events, where students can participate in various field and track events. The technical events are also part of college life.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are good. There are four boys hostel and two girls hostel. There are facilities of TV room, recreation room. The rooms are satisfactory. Mess food is not up to the mark, but I think no hostel mess can provide home-made food. There are canteens a

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not so good. The reason is limited support from faculty. Yes there are groups on Facebook where the students can interact with Alumni.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very common. There are two minors and one major in a semester. Third minor can also be offered for the students who have not scored enough in first two minors. There are sufficient day breaks between two major examinations. The duration

Faculty

1.5

Here is the main drawback of choosing this college. The quality of faculty is pitiable. If you choose this college, you are on your own. On paper, the faculty is okay types. But in actual they really do not have enough knowledge and teaching ethics. Thoug

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose BTech because I wanted to explore how real world works with technology and to know the insights of technology. The college mostly provides theoretical knowledge and not the practical knowledge refraining us from more exposure to real world problems. If the course is shifted from theoretical to practical it'll be really helpful. Two exams are conducted per semester, and the difficulty level is moderate.

Our curriculum gets better from this year as so many changes occur due to college become autonomous Like a better coding platform bought by college for student i.e. CODETANTRA and some subjects of 2nd year introduced in the 1st year like COLD and DSTL , Promoting students to participate in Hackathon by mailing to the students about each and every big or small hackathon . Giving them free attendance for that thing . The frequency of exams are about 20 days .
