Course Curriculum Overview
The course offers deep insight into philosophy concept, be it indian or Western. It was quite practical, as it enhanced the critical thinking and analytical skills of the students and made them question everything. Maybe, the regularity of classes is what need improvement and more interactive sessions with the students is what the course needs. The exams were scheduled on time, and there were no delays as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid around 2K for each year. Every other fee was included in it. Yes, there are scholarships available as well. Other students applied for the scholarship, but I never got the chance. There were deductions in the fees for students belonging to other categories which gave them a relief.
Campus Life
Several events take place at BHU, such as Spandan, Kashi Tamil Sangamam, and the departments organise several events from their side as well, such as freshers or farewell, quizzes, seminars, and workshops. These enhance the skills of the students. Moreover, one can volunteer in these events and get certificates too. There are smart classes available in BHU. Students can participate in Sports as well, such as badminton, basketball, cricket, etc.
Admission
I applied only to BHU as it was the most convenient for me at that time. Since I did not apply to other colleges, I wasn't rejected. I chose BHU over other colleges because I heard so many great things about it at that time, and it still is good because of the campus and the facilities available. A student needs to give the CUET PG exam to get admission into this course. It is conducted by NTA. CUET is the exam that is accepted for getting admission into this course. The students are selected based on the cutoff for different courses. My course had no GDPI or interview processes, one just needs to verify the documents adter getting admission and paying fees.
Faculty
The faculty-student ratio is decent, and most teachers are approachable and helpful. Every faculty member was good, there can be no distinction made between them. They helped with every issue of the students. All the faculties were good, and they made sure that students learned and understood everything. There are four semesters and they are quite easy for students to give. Almost every student passed the exams.
Night Life
There are cafeterias available at my university for students to have their lunch. It's quite affordable. There is a Library where students can study in peace, and there are no disturbances. Many facilities are available at the library, too. Hostels in BHu are great, since I was a local, I never stayed at a hostel, but heard so many great things about it. The food, the rooms, the extracurricular activities at BHU Hostels are great as well. Inside BHU you can go to Maitrayi for a hangout. Outside, there are many cafes and restaurants where students can hang out. I cannot name one. The locality is safe to roam around at night. Students can take a nice walk nearby.
