Course Curriculum Overview
I would say the course could certainly do with some updates, the syllabus has changed recently for the batches below us so i hope the necessary changes have been made. Overall still it is quite relevant but it just need a bit more focus on practical elements.
Internships Opportunities
Our college offers decent internship opportunities at nearby offices, it includes already established companies as well as ones just starting up. They are usually unpaid however but individuals are free to look for their own internships if they wish to gain a stipend.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements in the final semester, mainly all prominent companies from the industry do visit for placements and offer decent packages. The average package is about 8.5 lakhs with the highest allegedly reaching 24lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees of the college is roughly 1lakh, with the intial year having additional charges bringing it closer to 1.38lakhs for a total of roughly 3.5lakhs for the 2 year course. Some batchmates secured scholarships ranging from 10-25k in the intial year based on merit.
Campus Life
Our college has a wide range of socieities whether it be for dancings, theatre, films, cultural, and so much more. Overall college experience is realtively positive. Decent resources both in classes and in the library.
Admission
This was one of my priority colleges I applied to, it was relatively close to my housing and the fee point was competitive with the rest. I did consider other institutions but upon touring this campus I felt drawn to it. The admission process is relatively simple, they accept students based on both CET and CUET. Cet is given preference however.
Faculty
Within the BA(JMC) department there is definitely less faculty than there should be, however the amount we do have are all very friendly and keen on teaching. My personal favorite faculties would have to be Mr. Vishal and Dr. Shefalli, both guided my throughout my college exprience and I learned a lot. Exams happen twice a semester internally and once externally, difficulty is moderate and mostly all clear them.
Night Life
Unfortunately there isn't much in terms of stuff to do post college, gates close at 5pm and the smaller campus size means that even till then there isn't much to do. The closest places to go enjoy are Candor or Noida electronic city.
