Remarks
The college is good except for the quality of faculty. There is mixed crowd of tribal and minority students which is a good factor for a diverse institution.The location of the college is in the center of the Ranchi city. Ranchi university is also in the vicinity of the college. There are good places to hangout, relax and enjoy. One must visit parks and food van around the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
At my time course curriculum was old fashioned as they hadn't updated the syllabus according to the latest guidance of ugc. But it is updated. There is semester system which conducts two major end semester exam and two mid semester exam.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunity is very good here. U can get a decent job of 10k to 15k. The college does not provide any kind of scholarship and stipend as per my knowledge. They provide some kind of internship opportunity for vocational courses.
College Events
1. Fresher's day and teachers' day- in the 1st week of September. 2. Inter college competition for quiz, debate, painting, content writing, rangoli etc. 3. Independence day 4 Republic day. 5 youth awareness program
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible as it is a state government funded institute. For B.sc courses the cost of studying here is 5 to 6k per year. For vocational courses it is around 15k per year. There is also some self financed courses like B.sc(H) in electronics which cost around 12k per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college does not provide of any kind of scholarship. However government of jharkhand offers scholarship for poor, backward and minorities. One may contact bank for education loan because it is not a technical college. So there fees is not high.
Campus Life
The labs are not in very poor condition. Also they are not very modern and sophisticated. Extracurricular activities are good as the college provides good opportunity for your skills. It has very good auditorium where all kind of extracurricular activities are performed. The sports facilities are also good for football, hockey, kabaddi etc.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no alumni network here. The college also does not organise alumni meet. There is very lack of alumni network. However senior junior relation is quite heathy. They are also helpful. This is ragging free campus. Also there is student union for all kind of help.
Admission
By filling offline admission form. ( Now it is online), they published a merit list based on 12th marks, hons, category. The college allot a admission date. One has to take admission in that duration with there respective documents. If the seats are still available, they publish 2nd and 3rd merit list. Some department like bca and b.sc (IT) conduct entrance exam also.
Faculty
If you are very good student then this is not your dream college. The faculty are nightmare for intelligent and competitive students. Teachers of this college can teach only average or less than average students as they are very less knowledgeable and passionate.
