Likes
- Infrastructure- Good Infrastructure with modern classroom, library and moot court facility.
- Faculty- Decent faculty with practical knowledge and supportive nature.
- Good Exposure through Internship and other cultural live events and cocurricular activities.
Dislikes
- High Fee structure compared to value for placement that's why for law domain it feels little bit overhyped.
- Placement in law domain are average as per there marketing campaigns stats, other domains are good like btech and mass communications etc but for law it is pretty much averagne in nature.
- Some subjects feel more theoretical than practical. practical knowledge should be more.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well structured and covers all core law courses(Subjects) giving a strong theoratical base. it prepares to an extent , exams held twice a semester. Good environments and faculties, overall good college to study.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are mainly self driven , with student interning at law firms, courts, companies, with a stipend of around 5k to 15k depending on the organization. work involved legal research, drafting, case analysis, court visits etc.
Placement Experience
Placements in law at Amity are average, with students becoming eligible from thre final year, some companies and leagl firm visit offering package ranging from 3lpa to 7lpa. after completing the course i focused on gaining practical knowledge in corporate law and litigation.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was enrolled in BA.LLB(H) at Amity University, Lukcnow(2013-18) Batch, The fee structure was divided into multiple components. I didnt remeber the exact same amount but have somewhat idea according to that time which is i am mentioning below- 1st year- 1lakh 2nd year- 1 lakh 3rd year- 1.5 lakh 4th year- 2lakh 5th year- 2 lakh Tution fees- 50k per semester Registration fee- 10k(refundable) Admission fee- 20k-25k Security money-5000/(Refundable) Other charges like exam fees, Library, moot court etc charged accordingly semester wise hostel fees was also there but i have not opted for hostel so i dont have any idea about the same. Scholarship - Sponsered and Non sponsered Upto 90 percent of scholaship they used to provide for toppers of the class for that particular year. it is merit Based scholarship- upto 90 percent this is on performance in exam.
Campus Life
Campus life was vibrant with events like Amiphoria, active clubs, and good social interactions. The library and classrooms were well equipped with modern facilities. sports extra curricullar activites and student groups provided good overall exposure and personality development.
Admission
I choose college because i want to stay in lukncow only and it offerd good infrastructure, faculty, and overall experience. I didnt make up to NLU but overall exposure is good enough to be compared to an NLU in amity so i joined the same.
Faculty
Approx ratio- 1: 20-30 , facutly is generally approachable and supportive, good interaction, especially during internships and projects. Best Faculties- Some senior faculties were very good in core subjects like constitutional law and IPC Few faculties i dont like due to there nature or ability to teach students. Limited real world exposure is a minus point in the structure. 2 exams per semester- Mid term and end term plus assignments, presentations, viva etc. failure ration- 2-3 percent only
Night Life
Nightlife is limited as camous facilites like library, gym, cafeteria, usually close by evening and hostel in time was 8-9 pm. students mostly hangs out at nearby cafes and food spots around campus, the area is generaly safe but late night outings are strictly prohibited due to safety concerns.
Other Applied Colleges
Amity University | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}
I choose Amity Lucknow over Noida because I didn't want to relocate from Lucknow and preferred staying close to my home and existing networks.
