PCCOE Akurdi College Review

The curriculum is very good i was not expecting curriculum like this every thing is very good and is pre-planned like on which date the exam will happen and on which day the specific unit will start or end every thing is well planned and good the curriculum which influenced me is their topics and way of teaching one thing they can improve is that they should also thinko about students activities so they get engaged in teaching and don't feel bored

The college provides internship to students and the roles depends on the companies need mostly companies are looking for cloud, customer support and development roles and the companies which visit often for interns are Infosys, Capgemini and bluepineapple and the average stipend is around 15k. The student must have around 4-5 projects which should be advance and need to have a good knowledge about the project in term of the technology used and everything about the project.

The placements is provided in our college and their is a team names T&P(Training and Placement) which takes our overall training and makes is placements ready they conduct different activities and help students gain new skills and help get them placed. If I don't get placed in campus drive I have to apply for jobs by my own and had to search for jobs which would be very hectic in today's life

The yearly fees for general category is around 112000 and for categories like SC/ST/OBC it's 1379rs but the catch is we have to apply for scholarship on MAHADBT portal and have to avail specific scholarship according to our category and if we don't apply or get the scholarship we have to pay the whole fee which is 112000 so there are some schemes like EWS and TWS the students got admission using this category they have different fees and it's different for girls and boys one of my friends who got admission in EWS he payed 56k fee and some girls who got admission in EWS scheme they payed 15k. So the fees is varies.

My overall experience regarding to the activities and events is not that good it's only for our departments MCA because the other departments events are excellent they organize huge events and our MCA department doesn't organise events that good just in door activities which are very boring and our department organises event called insperia in which there are different activities like coding competition, poster competition, and promptings competition where we have to prompt to get specific output, all of this competitions are boring, there are different clubs at campus level like singing club, cricket club, dance club, gym club and more and every club has their own social media handles

The hostels are provided by the college itself and they are excellent on term of the rooms and meal quality the meals. The meal is not same every day it changes and the meal quality is very good in college there are total 4 mess where students can eat. The registration process is we have to provide our college admission confirmation letter and an application which should be signed by Department HOD and with department stamp after that we have to pay our yearly fee which is 100000 and then we get our room allocated. I had not rented anywhere because the rents outside of the college is very high with lots of restrictions and problems and I was not able to find a good mess.

I choose this college because it is a teir 1 college with excellent ranking and their placement percentage, although is was also checking for other colleges I compared their placement percentage, ranking and students development program but they were not that good as compare to PCCOE. I don't get rejected by any college because I never applied for other colleges PCCOE was my only choice and I got selected in 1st round only. I got admission using the CAP process after I get allotment in pccoe I had to confirm my seat within 3 days by submitting the required documents and paying the fee

Our ratio is 20 girls and 40 boys. Students relation with the faculty members is very good the faculty members are very good and they try to help students in very way. Our department has parted 60 students in 6 groups each group with 10 students and each group is assigned to a specific faculty member they are known as proctor they keep track of students, what are they doing, which skills are they learning, students overall growth and they even help in our personal life problems Their is no such thing that I don't like any faculty members everybody is good and friendly till now I like every faculty member since it's my 1st year and my 1st semester just got completed The exam structure is like for theory subjects like mathematics, software engineering, data communication and networking the theory exam was of 30 marks and 20 marks was for FA1 and FA2. FA(Formative Assessment) in which the teachers takes different activities like presentations, give case studies and different work and according to this the students marks are evaluated for FA1 and FA2 we also had practical like Java, Python and SQL where every student has to choose a random slip which has a coding problem the student had to solve that problem in specific time which is 2hr and after that viva takes place which is taken by external teachers and for the theory exam for 30 marks paper the time is 1hr 30min and for 60 marks it's 3hr and if any student fail in any subject the re-exam is taken within 1 week and the exam is not that difficult because the questions are not to hard it's moderate and because teachers helps us understand each concept neatly the exam was very easy and good.

The nightlife is excellent the campus shines at night everybody loves the night life in campus cause some students live in college's hostel and love to visit college at night because the college looks very beautiful at night college provides gym facilitie, library and public areas where students can spend their quality time with their friends. Our famous hangout place is at cafeteria where we spend quality time and enjoy our break
