Life in VIT Bhopal

Most of the subject of curriculum have real world application but their are still many subjects that have absolutely no link to the course but still we have to study them and most important is scoring marks above the average of the class. The exams happen very frequently within 4 months we will have a mid term and a term end exam.

Summer internship and full semester internship programs are available. Internship at microsoft ,aws,adobe on role like SDE intern, applied science intern and in qualcomm,intel,amd offer roles like hardware design interns,vlsi intern. Mass recruiters like TCS and wipro offer software interns. Internship usually starts in 3 year starting.

Students those who have good cgpa(8+) can easily get placed from here. The university has a very dedicated placement cell and last year of course goes into only placement process. The average package is between 8 to 10 lpa , according college highest placemnt till date was of 1.02 cr. But one needs to maintain very high cgpa to even sit in the placement.

The yearly cousre fee is around 2 lac if you get admission in categoey 1 this is only the tuition fee. The hostel fees can anywhere range between 1.5lac to 4lac based on your preferences like ac ,non ac and number of bed. In first year you will have to pay caution deposit of 15000 (refundable) and hostel admission fees of 17500(non refundable). The courses are divided into 2 categories there is difference of few thousand rupees. All the scholarships depend on how well you performed in the entrance exam i.e,VITEEE only top rankers scholarships but youu apply easily apply to external scholarships staff generally give their reference.

College hundereds of technical and non technical clubs which regularly conduct different events. Winter fest , ADVITYA are major annual fests , NSS drive also happens. Course and non course books can be easily found though the accomodation of library is less . Annual sports fest also take place.

Hostels are mediocre , they facilities like gym and badminton court are available but usually they are really crowded and many facilities are under construction. Meal quality was very average but it is getting better gradually. The food is not at par with the amonut of mess fees paid. Cleaniness is tried to be maintained sweeping and bathroom cleaning is done regularly.

I have options available in many private universities but I choose this college because the environment and the crowd is really good. And many other factors influenced my decision to come here such as placement , internship oppurtunities, exchange program , faculty which are not so good in other colleges in same price range. And overall for the brand name of the university. The entrance exam was of moderate level and if you get course in category 1 you should definately opt for this college instead of other.Though the management staff can be rude many times.

Most of the faculties are really helpful and easily approachable in their respective cabins. Faculty to student ratio majorly depend on the subject but approxmately it is around 1 faculty to 70 students. 2 exam happen in one semester mid term of 50 mmarks and end term of 100 marks. Difficulty and marking absolutely depends on the faculty. Some faculty do very linient marking and some are really strict.

Nightlife is not really a thing here girls have to be in the hostels around 6 pm they can not access eminities out of hostel after this time for boys it is around 9 pm but gym facilities are available ,cafes are there but they are quite expensive. Hostellers are not allowed to go out of campus ,they one outing per month which requies permission from parent and proctors.
