Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is well updated and relevant. Also offering new subjects like data science and machine learning. Some theoretical topics can be removed which are of no use in economics or in the real world application. Exam difficulty level is average and timings are fine.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many companies also come for internship offers in our college but mostly are new startups. Students can also opt for off campus internship opportunities which are better. Also it is mandatory for all courses in our college to have an intership experience in the end of second year summer break. There is a specific subject for this called as summer internship project.

Placement Experience

3

According to my knowledge the college provides decent placement opportunities which are available to final year students. Average package is 7.5 lakhs per annum and highest package was around 13.5 lakhs per annum last year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee for B.A. (H) Economics is ?1,05,200 (1st year), ?1,10,200 (2nd year), and ?1,16,200 (3rd year). The total fee for three years is ?3,31,600. The fee increases every year, mainly due to higher tuition, examination, and student welfare charges. No separate category-wise fee is specified in the notice however, students can avail government merit-cum-financial aidsand fee reimbursement scholarships.

Campus Life

3

Infrastructure is well established with heater and ac facility all over the campus. The campus is well maintained and cleanliness is also maintained. There is an annual fest named as engifest in the main campus. The campus also provides many societies option also for the students

Admission

I chose this college due to the course structure and course offerings, the faculty. I got admission in Sri Venkateswara College and in Hansraj College Delhi University but the course offered wasn't of my choice so I chose this college. One has to give CUET exam and mathematics is compulsory in +2 for this course. Safe score for admission is 600+ for the first cutoff.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is good approx 1:20. The relationship between them is also nice. Faculty is easily approachable in their free time for valuable guidance to students. I liked Puneet sir the most due to his nature and understanding of the students. He gives apt advice and guidance to the students and is very kind. Their is no such faculty that I disliked. Exams occur two times in one semester. 1. Midsems which are of 25 marks and 20 marks for practical and coding subjects. 2. Endsems which are of 50 marks and 40 marks for practical subjects. It is easy to pass exams with regular college and classes attendance. Course curriculum is well updated and relevant.

Night Life

3

Library is also there in our college with a variety of books. There are some local hangout spots near our college like cafes and all. There is bakebook bakery near our college which is very good and worth trying.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Economics is one such course which I feel complements every other discipline and since it talks about human behaviour, so it also teaches us a lot about the real world. The timing of exams can be changed by delaying exams by some time so that we get enough time for preparation. Also, the vacations are very less due to which people from far away cannot go to their homes.

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.
