Our college fest name is Antragani which is celebrated every year during month of January and February. It includes sports and cultural events. We also celebrate saraswati puja, Gandhi jayanti, ambhedkar jayanti and all festivals of hindu, muslim and Christian.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As our college comes under state government. Our fees were feasible. It was about rs 8500 per year for general canditates. And the fees for girls and reserved canditates are very low. It does not include hostel fees as we have to pay it separately.

And also 1 fan and 1 tubelight. 24 hours electricity supply and RO was there for drinking water. Sweeper used to came daily and clean your room and bathroom. Senior students are very co-operative and helpful as they are equivalent to teacher. Alumni meet is organised every year and we get chances to meet our seniors and to know them. They share their experiences of their college lifeand we used to learn a lot from them.

Admission

I had appeared in neet ug exam in 2013.I got AIR rank 13,921 and my state rank was 427 and i was callled for state counselling and there I got a seat in patliputra medical college. And i was asked to just the day after counselling. I reached dhanbad next day early morning and there all my document get verified by same day and then I was asked to come after 3 days for joining.

Faculty

3

As we have to study 19 subjects, nowhere in India has best faculty in all the subjects. The faculty of this college is very student friendly. They try to make best use of capability of student. They rely mostly on practical approach.

MBBS is all about learning and exploring . Only choose this profession when you have a will to help others otherwise it would be a difficult course for you. The passing marks of examination is 50 and for that you need to study hard.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) program is a highly sought-after degree that prepares students for a career in medicine. A key aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is its emphasis on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. The inclusion of subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology provides a strong foundation for understanding the human body and its functions. Furthermore, the clinical rotations and internships allow students to interact directly with patients, giving invaluable hands-on experience. The curriculum is well-structured to equip students for real-world medical practice and further academic pursuits. Clinical postings in hospitals and exposure to different medical specialties enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills. The focus on research methodology also lays the groundwork for those interested in pursuing postgraduate studies or contributing to medical advancements. However, there are areas where the MBBS curriculum could improve. For instance, introducing more interactive teaching methods, such as case-based discussions and simulation labs, would better prepare students for complex clinical scenarios. Additionally, integrating modules on soft skills, such as communication and empathy, could enhance patient care. Exams are frequent, usually held at the end of each semester, with assessments ranging from theory papers to practical exams. While challenging, they are crucial for assessing a student’s knowledge and clinical aptitude. However, spreading out exams and providing more time for preparation could reduce stress and improve performance, ensuring a better learning experience overall. Cons are course length and also the difficulty level.
