Remarks

Facilities a little less here but nevertheless the faculty and environment is very great to work with. There are flexible hrs to work with like you can work from 9-11 with no problem. As there is security in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS is 4 and half year course. 9 sems and many exams. 1st year, 3 terminal and 1st proff. 2nd year is of one and half year, 3 term exams and then 2nd proff. 3rd year 2 sem exams and then 3rd prof part 1 and finally the final year, 3 terminals and then 3rd prof part 2 exam and if you pass them all then VIOLA you're a DOCTOR.

Placement Experience

5

Internship is mandatory in the college's hospital only. Medical colleges have different criteria. You need to do compulsory paid internship for an year.

College Events

3

Annual fest called Antragni is held in the month of January during Saraswati Puja. Its a 7 days long fest which includes every extracurricular activity from sports to cultural and art. Starnight is one of the main attraction of this fest. In a nutshell it's the best part of the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Way too feasible. Government medical college hardly asks you for any money. Its almost like studying for free. Its all very transparent. Hostel charges are also very feasible. All in all you get the best at the cheapest in the market. Mode of payment is through demand draft mostly.

Fees and Financial Aid

It offers scholarship to the BPL students o guess. but i m not sure about it because I never availed it.

Campus Life

3.5

Peaceful campus life. only headache is of studies. Fair gender ratio. Since the study of medical science is so vast, time for extra curricular is less but not nil oviously. Yearly during fest time everyone display their talent. In the first year we have "intro" but it's nothing like ragging, people enjoy it a lot.

Hostel Facilities

5

Yes. In the first year you have to share your room. It can be 2 seater or 3 seater.but as you pass your exams your room starts upgrading. In the final year you surely get a single room.sometimes if you are lucky then you can get single room by 2nd year only. Besides, if you are a guy you get single room by 2nd year only. (Credits to more boys' hostels)

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. Seniors are very important in medical colleges, in fact more important than the faculties. They are the ones who will guide you to pass the MBBS. You can't pass MBBS without a Senior's help.

Admission

As there were many B.tech institutes, I had no interest in persuing it. Then I was looking at colleges in the news paper and found out about Design institute. I called the no. Given and I reached the place. And the admission process was under way. You can also get through spot councilings as well as entrance exams.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty are satisfactory. All the facultues are doctors so you can't question their knowledge. The number of faculties are increasing every year. In the final year you get the best faculties who teaches you the clinical subjects. But like every other college you can't rely on the faculty you have to study on your own. Seniors are of help in fact.

MBBS is all about learning and exploring . Only choose this profession when you have a will to help others otherwise it would be a difficult course for you. The passing marks of examination is 50 and for that you need to study hard.

I think couse curriculum and teaching method can be improved by adding some technical knowledge into medical field. The frequency of exam is good. Difficultly level is medium which is good for us.

Mbbs is a long duration course of about 5.5 years in which there is 1 year of compulsory internship.being a doctor is the noble profession and gives you huge respect and that's why i choose this course, this was me and my parents dream as well.this curriculum prepares you to face upcoming challenges that you have to face as a doctor.i think practical work should be more instead of just bookish knowledge.there is 3 terminals in a regular interval of 3 months and then final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) program is a highly sought-after degree that prepares students for a career in medicine. A key aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is its emphasis on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. The inclusion of subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology provides a strong foundation for understanding the human body and its functions. Furthermore, the clinical rotations and internships allow students to interact directly with patients, giving invaluable hands-on experience. The curriculum is well-structured to equip students for real-world medical practice and further academic pursuits. Clinical postings in hospitals and exposure to different medical specialties enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills. The focus on research methodology also lays the groundwork for those interested in pursuing postgraduate studies or contributing to medical advancements. However, there are areas where the MBBS curriculum could improve. For instance, introducing more interactive teaching methods, such as case-based discussions and simulation labs, would better prepare students for complex clinical scenarios. Additionally, integrating modules on soft skills, such as communication and empathy, could enhance patient care. Exams are frequent, usually held at the end of each semester, with assessments ranging from theory papers to practical exams. While challenging, they are crucial for assessing a student’s knowledge and clinical aptitude. However, spreading out exams and providing more time for preparation could reduce stress and improve performance, ensuring a better learning experience overall. Cons are course length and also the difficulty level.
