Vasavi College of Engineering - Pros and Cons

Our it department course curriculum is different from all the colleges because in 1st sem every college teaches c first then python in second sem but in vasavi it python is taught in 1st sem and then c in second sem . And new courses like english and skill development have been introduced to make us learn how to work in an office and give presentations and what type of coding is required to the companies etc are taught from the 1st sem itself Total 6 classes a day and the difficulty level of paper is from medium range to high

In the information technology branch of vasavi college there is 100% placement record which means atleast each student got 3.5LPA pakage and the average pakage is 9 to 10 LPA companies like cisco, oracle, google, flipkart, Deloitte,wipro and 50+ more companies and also tcs comes every year to hire people and the highest pakage is 52LPA and overall percentage of placements is 90%

My yearwise fee is 1,42,000 in which 1,32,000 is tution fee and 10000 is caution fee which will be returned again and i dont have any scholarship, my batchmates pay 10000 few and 35000 few and 151000 few They opted for EAPCET scholarship And my college only accepts merit based students

Pur campus is not that big but yet enough and consists of 7-10 blocks each block dedicated to 1 branch and it has lower no.of sections compared to other colleges and it have a huge library and every book is available with a digital app and classroom are digital and each classroom has a digital board and all the labs have latest and best equipment but in our college there are not much extra curricular activities just 2-3 fests or events are held per year and they are also not that intresting and for sports also not much preference is given and there is no proper coach or ground dedicated to 1 sport

My hostel is a newly constructed one and it have lots of facilites like a fridge and water dispenser for each floor and lift and 24/7 geyser facilities and ac's in summer and the food quality is good but quantity is not sufficient and there is lift facility and it is a PG and it's more than affordable like 8000 to 10000 a month

Compared to other colleges the placements in information technology branch is highest in this college and apart from all other colleges this college doesn't offer any management seats and selects students from merit and the intake of students every year is very less like 700-800 per year but in other colleges its like 2000-3000 per year and all my cousins have studied in the same college

The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 and all the teachers ensure good relation with students apart from one faculty of physics he acts rude all the time. I liked Sudhakar sir from maths and haseeba mam from python but i disliked venkateshwar rao from physics because he thinks he knows everything but he doesn't know how ro explain and internal marks are of 30 in which 6 x 1mark 4x3marks and 2x6 marks questions in internal and lab record of 18 and internal of 12 marks total 30 marks

No just i have to submit some documents and they will verify the documents the check if all those are correct then allot me a temporary roll number which will be further converted to a permanent hall ticket number which will be used for entire examination and attendance details

Pur college is a pure dayscholar college and there is no nightlife in it but our we have multiple cafeterias but all are them are small and many people have to stand and eat or eat in the ground but the food is good and we also have many stalls outside from where we can get all our needs and the stationary shop is a life saver it offers all items at a very low price compared to outside shops nearly30% discount and the campus timings are from 9:40 to 4:20
