Course Curriculum Overview

4

honestly chose this course because I’ve always been interested in coding, and the syllabus here looked decent compared to other local colleges. The curriculum is comprehensive regarding the core theory, but when it comes to real-world application, it feels a bit outdated. We are still learning things that industries stopped using years ago, so you have to put in extra effort on your own to be job-ready. For improvements, I’d suggest updating the lab equipment and focusing more on hands-on projects rather than just writing assignments. As for exams, we have two mid-terms and one end-semester exam. The timing is usually predictable, but the schedule gets very hectic. The difficulty level is moderate; if you study the previous years' papers, you can easily pass

Placement Experience

I am not sure about the answer to this question but I think students are officially eligible to sit in the campus placements from 7th semester. A student must have a minimum of 7.5CGPA to get a chance to access the placement rounds. Oracle, google, tata, Infosys, service now and a lot more companies visited our campus. Highest package is around 50LPA which is on campus. And off campus it's around 1cr. The aversge package depends on the branch. My branch's average package is around 8 to 9 LPA I guess. Almost 90 percent of the students get placed here in vasavi

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying around 1,40,000 rupees yearly. The tution fee hasn't increased. And we are required to pay around 3000 rupees for sem end examinations and 2500 for a skill development course. There is no management category and about the scholarships. College does provide ways to get a scholarship through external agencies. And a lot of students here are on fee reimbursement. The Telangana government pays these student's tution fee

Campus Life

4

Since I am a first year student. I have no idea about clubs??. But I have seen a lot of seniors talking about clubs they look very interesting man. I personally have attended some programs conducted by some of the clubs of vasavi and they were veryy good. The amount of enthusiasm and energy the students have in the clubs is insane

Admission

My aim was to get into a NIT. But i couldn't since my jee score was too low. I did apply to vnr, cbit, mgit but got rejected everywhere except for mgit. I got BE Information Technology in mgit. I had a small chance of getting into vasavi through spot admission. I chose vasavi because it's one of the best colleges in the state and its near to my house too. I got rejected from vnr and cbit because my jee rank was too less. The admission process of my college is. U have to secure a good rank in EAMCET. I would say a good rank is from 1k to 15k. Or get around 100k rank in jee mains to be able to secure a seat. Most of the students prefer Information Technology branch since this is the branch which has been bagging very good packages in the last few years.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio in the classroom is 1:64 and in the lab it's 1:16. The faculty is very good they treat us as a friend and make sure that we don't miss our homes. They encourage us to ask doubts and even if it's a stupid doubt they don't hesitate to explain it to us. The difficulty level of exams is average. So that students don't get backlogs. Not many students fail in these exams. The course curriculum is focused on our future related career opportunities. So that its gonna be helpful for us in the mere future.

Night Life

3

Night life??? Sadly our college doesn't provide hostel facilities. The college remains closed after 6 30pm. And I wouldn't say there are many places to roam around near college since our college is almost at the corner of the City

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
