Course Curriculum Overview

5

the curriculum is well structured and mostly updated according to industry requirement specially in courses that need regular technology or practical exposure giving student frequent hands on experience also a few subject like principal and practice of management feel slightly outletted and less relevant in today's fast changing environment. from next year on what they are many relevant subjects like DBMS which is database management system and DSA which is data structure and algorithm these are most used skills in today's industry the lab sessions are very useful because the teachers make every concept of theory clear in practical like there is a course known as BCA AIDS and which they teachers python in 1st year and as we know that python is the base of ai industry so this curriculum prepare us for real world application . examination frequency is decent there are two exams for semester the mid term and the end term midterm consist of 25 marks out of hundred and end term consist of 50 marks out of hundred the difficulty level is moderate not too much hard not too much easy.

Internships Opportunities

3

there is not too much internship opportunities available for BCA students but there are opportunities for b.tech students in a big companies like infosys, nvidia they give internship opportunity for bright students generally the internship are unpaid but some are paid also for good students students can apply for off campus internships

Placement Experience

3

in BCA which is bachelor of computer and applications students are eligible for placement from 3rd year itself the campus placement is not too much because many of the student consider in further studies like MCA despite the highest package of the BCA is 9lpa and the moderate or average package of BCA is for 4Lpa around 60-70% students got placed here. my plan is do upgrade my skills and be job ready after completion of my course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees varies, during first year which is admission year i have submitted 95000 for first semester and 72000 for second semester that collectively is 167000 from next semester my fees is about 72000 per semester which is collectively 144000 , i had a scholarship of 10000 per semester and i have s bridge course of 5000 per semester for 2 semester, there are also scholarship on siblings, marks percentage of class 12th , One of my friend have 85% in class 12th so his fees is about 120000 per year , and some have sibling scholarship that is their sibling studied in this college earlier so they received a scholarship of 6000 per semester, the fees is not too much, it is value for money because of the course they teaches you very valuable things but still it's not too much for college like graphic era because other courses have very high fees as compared to BCA it can also be an alternative for b.tech for the students who can't afford fees of b.tech, and there is also a scholarship test named as GECET in which you give an online test and it gives you scholarship of upto 90% depending on the performance of your test , some of my friends have 60-70% off on basis of that scholarship test . Talking about breakdown of my fees structure, 57330 is tution fees , 10000 is admission fees which is non refundable, 5000 enrolment fees , 3000 caution fees which is refundable, 9750 other charges and 5000 for bridge course, this is fee structure of first semester, this bridge course is only applicable for those who didn't had maths subject in their 12th class , talking about second semester fee structure, 63700 tution fees, 8750 other charges, 5000 bridge course fee , third semester, 65150 tution fees , 9750 other charges, fourth semester 65150 tution fees, 8750 other charges, fifth semester 68408 tution fees, 9750 other charges, sixth semester 68408 tution fees , 8750 other charges, amd after all this there are no other hidden charges and the dress fees is also included in this.

Campus Life

5

you can say that overall experience is very good and campus life is also very good there are often some best and all organised in campus to keep student engaged there are many clubs in college like NSS , NCC , graphic geeks , AIEEE there is a first known as grafest it is annual fest of college it is organisational a very large scale all the students of graphic Era deemed to be university and graphic Era hill University are invited in this environment of Dehradun is very nice so it cause a good campus like here.

Admission

I choose this college because of the updated syllabus and curriculum , lab exposure and the environment here the air pollution which is aqi is very low in this area has compared to other colleges like Amity which is located in Noida its air quality is very bad and crowd his too much there as compared to this college and the average placement there is good as compared to other colleges that I have seen and about stiteness also there is no any type of fight or other thing happen in college campus or outside the college campus on like other colleges were ragging and everything are common here in this college are separate anti ragging department is made which controls everything I haven't seen any ragging and all in 1st year.

Faculty

4

Graphic era deemed to be university offers a fairly balanced academic environment with a decent faculty to students ratio as our batch has around seven faculty members for nearly eighty students which allows teacher to manage the class comfortably while still giving attention to individual. most faculty members are supportive, approachable and helpful even beyond class hours often assisting students on WhatsApp or through calls whenever someone faces difficulty in any topic . my personal experience with some teacher has been positive, especially with krishna sir, Vandana ma'am, Tanya rawal ma'am as they not only teach well but also create a friendly and encouraging environment in the class. they treat students with patience and clear doubts even after the college hours which makes learning more smoother because of their supporting nature However not every faculty members connect too easily like i found dighvesh sir strict in nature he teaches mathematics, which can make the subject more stressful for students who already struggle with it . the exam system at the University consists of two main exams each semester , a midterm and a endterm where midterm exams are often medium difficulty while end term exams are more tough in compare of mid term which requires more prepration, the making system is also moderate not too strict or easy, and students generally pass if they write properly and attempt every questions only those who don't write anything or write a very little fails in exams, practical exam is comparatively very tough you have to pass the first stage which is written and after passing it you have to give the test on lab if you failed in written you can't go in lab and after lab there is a viva which is taken very strictly. the curriculum is well structured and updated according to industry requirement , lab sessions are conducted often 2 times a week which is enough. Overall my experience of the university has been good not extraordinary but not bad either.

Night Life

5

there is a decent nightlife around the college we can go to Mussoorie which is very near to us for our Hangout Mussoorie is amazing place for Hangout there is a cafe known as angan which is famous among University there are many canteen inside campus like quick bite where we open go and hangout there is in campus gym also which have a decent infrastructure. it is very safe to room in night because there is always any police vehicle petroling here.

At GEHU, placement eligibility starts from the 6th semester. companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Amazon visit the campus. The highest package offered is around 35LPA and the average is 4-6LPA. About 70-80% of students get placed , mainly in IT and management roles. After completing my degree I plan to work in the industry and later pursue higher studies.
