Talking about the curriculum which is designed by the university, it does cover all the topics from the easiest to the hardest topics. Moreover the faculty does explain the topic apart from the syllabus if needed. The exams are no tough if syllabus is focused upon from the very beginning. The syllabus for bca covers a lot of programming languages like C, Python, C++ and DSA and many more.so a BCA student does het hands on a lot many languages during these 3 years. The frequency of exams are a little harsh if you are a student who is more into extracurriculars, because even though the semesters are meant to be 6 months, they get done within 4 months, which is a drawback but exacpt this , you learn a lot

Interesting opportunity for students are open here for internships, this even includes in campus internships like, teachers,assistant professor, campus ambassador Infact there is a seprate department exclusively for student internships

After the 2nd year, a lot of internships are open for the students which includes on campus internships as well. The campus offers a lot of placement opportunity for students during thier last years, but on a honest note, these drives are very very competitive as 4 campuses of Graphic sit togather for the interview and preference is usally given to the deemed campus students. The placments are offered to atleast a 60% of students from this campus

Fees Structure: The yearly fees of BCA 1st year is 1,45,000 which covers all the tution fees,. If you come from a non maths background, it is compulsory to take bridge course for maths for the FIRST YEAR ONLY, the fees for the same is 5000rs per semester. However GEU offers handsome amount of scholarships every year which include.. Academic Scholarship The Fee Structure at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), clearly mentions the Academic Scholarships provided in all courses defined in various categories based on the merit of the candidate obtained in the qualifying examination considered for admission into that specific course. I live in a incampus hostel and let me tell you, this has been the best desicion of my life, living in a hostel of graphic era is a hundred times better than any other university as far as i know, The rules are not vwry strict yet the stidents are expected to maintain a certian decorum. The mess serves food 4 times a day with good taste and quality.

I got a confirmation from UPES dehradun as well, but in the end i chose GRAPHIC ERA UNIVERSITY , mainly because of its location, GEU is located in clement town which is one of the prime regions of dehradun, there a re multiple cafes, hangout spots, temples, parks , markets near the college which makes the college life really lovely and fun during breaks wheareas the location of UPES is a little on the outskirts of dehradun.Also the airport , bus stand and railways is closer to geu than upes which is again a boon for outstation students like ME. The admission process for the college is very simple if you have a good academic background and a good score in 12th. For BCA , mostly 12th marks and CUET is considered , and the scores in these exams are considered for scholarships

The Faculty of mostly all courses of this campus have done PHD and are well drawn towards thier subject. The teaching staffof Bca particularly is very approachable during assignments or project times, or whenever needed. Some professors might be an exception but overall, they are quite open and nice. Python Faculty. Ms Afsar Jahan is particularly my favourite, her way of teaching, her calmness has helped me understand the subject quite nicley. Mr Hriday gupta , our DSA sir is also really helpful and a fatherly figure. The students are required to give 4 exams in a year, which is every semester has a mid exam and an end exam. The students are required to have scored minimum of 7 aggregate SCGPA in the end semesters to continue the scholarships they have availed in the 1st semester . The exams are not quite tough although the practicals require a little hardwork from the students.

The campus has a lot of incanpus hostels , and for girl hostellers the outing remains from 6 pm to 8 pm after which they can roam around uptil 9 pm inside the campus,and go back to the hostels by 9. However there is no such restrictions on the boys as the do not have a in tine The canteens open at 9 Am and remain open till 7 in the evening The campus has 2 gyms, one is unisex
