Remarks

Positive remark- Quality education, Experienced faculties, Budget Friendly, variety of courses provided, central university Negative remarks- Lack of faculty in various departments, Research scholars working as substitute faculty

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is hectic due to short semester durations and the exam structure is semester wise consisting of 8 semesters in B.Sc. Forestry. There are two sessional exams along with tha main exam in a semester and practicals.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement comes every year. On our 7th sem internship is there for industrial training in our course and also for the training in forest department under the supervisoon oof an IFoS officer. Which enhances us practically and provide exposure.

College Events

4.5

Annual function and other sports events are celebrated in our college yearly, Students also go to the north zone competitions to represent our college. They provide a much needed break from studies and make the students fresh and cheerful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible as our fees for 1year i.e. 2semester comes around INR 2500 to 3000. It is a university of central government thus the fees structure is very much feasible and light on our pockets

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship based on the caste reservation is provided by the university. Students have to fill up the scholarship form along with there caste certificate to apply for the scholarships programme. So it is good for reserved quota students

Campus Life

The university also emphasize on extra curricular activities by inaugrating annual function and annual sports meet every year. They also chose student for inter university competitions around the north zone

Hostel Facilities

No i have not. But the ifrastructure of the hostel is 3/5. They have there own mess. Forestry students have there separate hostel for boys. While girls hostel are combined and are far more better than boys hostel in every aspect

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

The alumini functions are conducted mainly by the concerned department and according to their will. Our department recently conducted on in the year 2016 and is planning to conduct other in the mear future

Admission

I Just fill the form provided by the university and opt for this course. Then the students are selected on the basis of their merit. There are a vast majority of courses provide by the university. For under graduate course merit based admissions are done. And for Post graduation course entrance exam are held.

Faculty

Experienced and well opted but there is some lack of faculty in few years. But the appointed faculties are very well experienced and provide quality education to the students theoratically as well as practically

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Likes

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

College Journey

Likes

Discipline in our college is too good, among students as well as teachers
In our college, children are taught different beneficial activities.
Our college also teaches well, all lectures are on time.

Dislikes

Since it is a government College, politics also goes on in the college at some places which causes trouble.
The exams are very tough which all the students have problem with and they also check it strictly.
Placements cost only 1 or 2%, nothing else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am preparing for a government job, so I took admission in this course just to get a graduation degree and not for any other reason. There should be some improvement in the lab and also in the exam pattern. The timing of our exam is 2:30 hours which is less time because the exam is lengthy.

I 've choosen this university because low BTech course fee and also one more reason is weather and environment of the state uttrakhand. I haven't got rejection from other college. Admission process here is so simple. Only the thing is you have to clear the cutoff marks in CUET exam.
