THE TRUTH OF DEPARTMENT OF GEOLOGY AMU

The reason for i choose this course of geology in the aligarh Muslim University because of the infrastructure of amu and the experienced faculty. And there is vast scope in this field the there is government jobs are available in this field of geology like miner geologist and geophysicist and many more and there are very more competitive exam for more jobs like JAM GATE GSI JRF and many more for job opportunities.

There are many companies which giving opportunity for students as a intern to work with them . Companies like ONGC and mining and coal , nmdc ,moil ltd, slb india , vedenta limited and etc role offered by them are miner , geophysicist, geochemist and many roles offered by them

The placement of department of geology is very minimal in start but there is promotion in every year in the field of geology and there in increasment in salary per year the starting package of geology students of amu is like 300000 and increasing as per skills of students the other options after no placement in college is students can prepare for JAM JRF GATE GSI UPSC for civil services in the field of geology

The fee structure of BSC (hons) geology for amu is like the first admission fee is varying over the years my first year admission fee is 13200 excluding admission form fee . The admission form fee is around 1000 rupees only the tuition fee ,caution fee , development fee,lab fee all are included in admission fee for 1st year .the hostel fee is 2000 per year and this is also included in admission fees . And this is for OBC category and for general is same as OBC .the students who does want hostel so their fee is like 11220 and the mess fee is 1700 per month .

The campus of ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY IS very beautiful which is made my great SIR SYED AHMED KHAN SAHAAB ?? and the there activities to do in campus there is drama club ,CEC sport club like cricket, football, vollyball, skating, hokey,and horse riding club and many more clubs are present in AMU.there is NCC camp is also here . The most important THERE IS BIGGEST LIBRARY OF ASIA is here named MAULANA AZAD LIBRARY.

There is not good and not bad hostel facility in AMU but the hall alloted to students in first year and the hostel is alloted in like after half year or after 1 year of graduation. And the wifi facility is available.the light supply is very good and the hostel mess food is not much good as expected but just eatable .there is enough meal they give to students there are no veg and veg both options are available.

Amu is a central university of national importance with NAAC A + accreditation. The department of geology is established in 1950 which is the most experienced. They provide highly experienced professor and researchers specialising in areas like petrology , mineralogy,hydrogeology , remote sensing They have advanced LAB, Field training in 3rd year and labs in 3rd year Great placement

The faculty of department of geology is very strict as I mentioned in previous page of survey and they check copy of sessional test and semester exam are strictly and don't give enough marks which the students deserve and always give less marks expected by students. The faculty i liked are Mohd Waseem sir Mohd imraan sir Mohd shamim sir Mohd taqveem ali khan sir These are some faculties i liked The faculty which disliked most in the department of geology are Mohd adnan qasim sir Iftikar sir Zia ur Rehman sir The total sessional exams held in my college is 2 per subject of marks 15 each and the semester exam is 70 marks per subject.

The nightlife of aligarh Muslim University is very interesting with colleagues there is gymnastics which is open in morning 7am and the closing time is 7:30pm and. The library is open till 4am and close upto 7am in morning and open on 7 days a week .there is many night cafes is present around the campus and there are many gardens in campus to chill out with friends in night or morning or in evening. The famous night cafes which is near to university is aaqa restaurant and campus dhaba and many more .
