What Students Say

Likes

The faculty is very helpful. Encourages to participate in other extra activities.
Great technical clubs that helps you in upskill.
Boys to girls ratio is nine to one which creates no difference.

Dislikes

Time table is very hectic. Every day we have classes till 5pm starting from 9 am.
The curfew time for girls hostel in 5.30pm
Mess food is not that good. Makes you homesick at times

Course Curriculum Overview

The course makes you very workaholic. It makes you sit from nine in the morning till 6 in the evening. So it helps when we are working in the corporate world. We have two exams in one semester. A midterm and end sem exam.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many campus internship oppurtunities. One time infosys agents came and took classes . They also had online classes which they asked to complete for joining tye internship in their compaby. S

Placement Experience

Campus placements are offered by our college. Most of our seniors from our department got placed in good companies. Internship is also provided . So focus on skill development through out your foour years

Fees and Financial Aid

There are total 4 slabs which will be alloted according to your marks in jee or AEEE exam. Starting slab 1 fee is 1 and a half lakh which increases by one lakh with each slab. Hostel fee per year is 75 thousand .

Campus Life

Our college offers compelling academic environment backed by solid infrastructures, research and succesful campus placement. If you are highly social this college can be limiting in its own way but you can find your own path.

Admission

My college accepts jee and AEEE exam. Accordingly students are categorised to each category and fees are different fir each category. I choose thrissur engg college before this. But placements are very poor there

Faculty

Internals to externals ratio is seventy to thirty percent. Take care of your internal marks more. The faculty is very helpful. They help you with research papers. Vivek menon from math department is very good faculty i personanlly liked. Exams can be hard

Interview Experience

Not yet. This will start from the end of second year . There is special corporate and industrial research department in our college. So they train us for the upcoming internship and placement oppurtunities

Night Life

There is basically no nightlife in our campus. Especially for girls since are. Curfew time for hostel is five thirty in the evening. I dont know about boys but they have better campus nightlife in our college.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

Compared to other government colleges the value of the ceirtificate in Amrita is much better. Admission process in Amrita is done online but you need to provide physical copies of the ceirtificates to complete the admission procedures. Basically like everyone I also gave JEE but didnt manage to land a NIT or an IIT. After that among private colleges amrita seemed the best choice for me. Based on the ROI for me it atleast looked best option. AEEE rank cutoff for cse(ai) in slab 2 for all india is at 3.5k rank. Whereas for the first slab its 1.5k and 7k for third slab. I applied for VIT also but didnt go there despite securing a seat because of the huge crowd there. For jee mains cutoff for slab2 is 95-97 %ile whereas for first slab it is 98+ and for 3rd slab its clearing the cutoff basically....Read More
