Is Manipal (Chennai) CSE better than Amrita (Amritapuri) CSE? How? Where do we have better opportunities?

One of my friends was in Amritapuri so I know better about Amrita University than Manipal University, Chennai. The brand Amrita isn’t known among the IITs and NITs but the college is quite prominent among the companies and universities. The placement stats are rarely released, but the alumni prove that the placement of this college is quite amazing. You will be eligible for placements if you have scored above 6 CGPA. The hostel life of this campus is not as good as compared to other colleges yet it’s bearable. Boys aren’t much restricted from the hostel rules and regulations but girls have to follow the set rules. There are sub-disciplines that you can join by joining The FOSS Club, the ICPC team, and CTF team. For exploring FOSS you would have to join The FOSS club, for sports programming the ICPC team and for security CTF team will be a good opportunity. Which Amrita branch is better for CSE, Amritapuri or Coimbatore?

One of my friends was a student from Amrita and she pursued ECE on the Bangalore campus. According to her experience, in general, the Coimbatore campus is better among the two. The reason behind choosing Amrita University, Coimbatore is because of its well-structured infrastructure and great academic culture. The Coimbatore campus has also remained consistent in being ranked high amongst most Indian colleges. However, for the CS branch specifically, my friend suggests the Bangalore campus. The academic culture in the institute is significantly good. Moreover, the rules and regulations in the institute are not as strict as on the Coimbatore campus, letting students have a better amount of balance. Since you are in close vicinity with various IT companies and are surrounded by classmates belonging from households where either parent might be working in similar companies can provide you a commendable orientation as well. As per the recent trends the average and highest CTC offered at the Bangalore campus is 40 LPA and 80 LPA respectively. According to my friend, you will also have a better peer group with good communication skills at the Bangalore campus as opposed to the other two. So, choosing the Bangalore campus may give you an edge.

Time table is very hectic. Every day we have classes till 5pm starting from 9 am.

Fees and Financial Aid:

There are total 4 slabs which will be alloted according to your marks in jee or AEEE exam. Starting slab 1 fee is 1 and a half lakh which increases by one lakh with each slab. Hostel fee per year is 75 thousand .

The total fees that I am paying is 275000 which is tution fees and it is very reasonable for this college and the caution deposit is 5000 and the college fees is divided to 3 categories that are-- 1st slab which is 160000 and 2 nd slab is 275000 and lastly the 3 slab is 400000 most of my friends have got 2 slab and some students are in last slab

Review about Amrita Amritapuri campus

The fees organised into 4 slabs I.e slab 1 2 3 4 slab 1 offering highest scholarship and slab 4 representing the regular fees for student.to attain the slab 1 the student must score good rank in AEEE .fees structure for Amrita university is depend on the campus top campus like ettimadai Amritapuri Bangalore has some extra fees upto 20000 to 40000 when compare to other campus .im studying in Amritapuri campus CSE(cybersecurity).I got fees slab 1 which is around 150000 and for hostels nearly 75000 slab 1 fees is same for all campuses especially for cse .and slab 2 and slab 3 are different slab 2 fees is around 2.75 lakh for both Amritapuri and Bangalore and 2.90 lakh for ettimadai campus rest of all campus has below 2.5 lakh and slab 3 is 4 lakh and slab 4 is 6 lakh. there is a chances for increase the fees yearly because when I was joining the college my senior is he is 3rd year his fees slab was 3 and his fees only 3lakh per year and my friend got slab 3 now his fees is 4 lakh around without hostel per year .for aeee exam there is no cast reservation for this university there is caution fees around 10-20k . They select students according to merit.

Year wise fee paid : 275000 Year wise Hostel fee paid : 70000 Year wise caution fee paid :10000 I got second slab according to my exam scores conducted by our university. There is no caste category in our university They took students according to merit .

The truth about (amrita) : A students perspective

I am paying 400000 tution fees excluding hostel fees and, The actual fees is 6lakhs per year and 1 lakh for hostel as i hav egot 3rd slab my scholar ship is 200000, i not have any reservation as i am a OC student in genral quota, we want to pay 5k for caution deposit, The fees structure is: 1-slab--160000 2-slab--275000 3-slab--400000

Amrita : The Real Student Experience

Amrita school of engineering, amritapuri has 600000 for non scholarship in btech CSE but i have attended the amrita exam and i have got a scholarship of 425000 hance my total fees is 275000 only for tution fees and if we not maintain CGPA it will affect in loosing your slab There are 3-slabs 1.160000 2.275000 3.400000, hence we want to maintain CGPA above 8 for 1st slab students and above 7 for second slab students.

A brief Explanation about my experience.

Year wise tution fees is 600000. In extra we will be having 10000 caution deposit and 10000 for registration fees and no other lab or development fees will be taken from us. There will be 4 slabs. According to your marks in the entrance. First slab will contain 1.5 lakes per year and slab 2 will be paying 3 lakhs per year and 3 rd slab will pay 4lakhs and 4 th slab will be paying 6 lakhs and they also have to pay the extra money for the things which I mentioned in the top of this response.
