Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum of B.Tech CSE at MSU as moderately comprehensive and fairly relevant one of the reasons I chose this course because it covers the core subjects of computer science, like programming, data structures, dbms, operating system ai etc The curriculum does provide a decent foundation and prepares students for real-world application to some extent especially through lab work and projects
Internships Opportunities
companies like tcs ion wipro and local startuos in gurgoan/noida have offered internship in recent batches the roles are usualyy software trainee, web developer intern ,QA intern or data analyst intern .stipends vary widely some internship are unpaid
Placement Experience
at mdu btech cse students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards pre placements talks aptitude tests and technical interviews in terms of companies tcs wipro infosys tech mahindra hcl accenture and capgemini have visited the campus in recent years some smaller startups and local it firms avergae package is 3-4 lakh and highest pacakge is 10-20 lakh on average about 55-65% of students from cse manage to get placed
Fees and Financial Aid
1st year around rs95000 includes tution fees rs 90000 admission registration around 5000 exam fee 1500 per semester 2nd ,3rd,4th year around 90000 per year and semester wise 45000 you can talk to principal or other head to pay the fees in installment and you pay later also toal for 4 years close to 3.6 lakh rs my batchmates from reserved categories sc st ews pay comparatively less because of state scholarships and tution fee waivers. their effective years cost is much lower sometimes only exam and registration related charges students admitted through admission quota usually pay on the higher side often above 1 lakh in the first year
Campus Life
my overall experience with campus life at mdu rohtak has been quite balanced with mix of academics social activities and exposure through events the university organizes annual cultural fest usually in march/april and a technical fest around feb/march the library is well stocked with a wide range of text books reference books and national/international journals digital resources and e journals was also accesible classrooms are generally spoacious and equipeed with projectors ,audio systems and wifi accessin most blocks labs had the required hardware and software
Hostel Facilities
the hostel facility at mdu is fairly good for the cost rooms are usually twin or triple sharing furnished with bed study table chair and cupboard wifi available in most hostels and there are common areas with tv reasing rooms and sports facilities washrooms are decent
Admission
I chose MDU Rohtak because its affordable fee structure decent faculty base and recognition as a government state university. The degree has good value for higher studies and public sector opportunities that campus environment facilites like library and labs and hostel availablity also influenced by choice I had applied to a few other colleges as well , some private engineering colleges in Delhi NCR amity Galgotias i even got admission, but the fees were very high, 3-4 times more than MDU and placement was not significantly better to justify the cost
Faculty
the faculy to student ration is 1:20-25 so classes are not overcrowded most teachers are approachable if you ask doubts after class in my experience some teachers are supportive and explain concepts with practicals exam system and marking scheme each semester has two internal sessional test 25 marks each and a final end semster exam usually 80 marks internal + external marks decide the final grade on average 70-80% students pass without issues while some fail in tougher subjects like mathematics data structure the marking are most fair
Night Life
the nightlife around mdu rohtak is not like a metro city campus but students still find ways to relax and hang out inside the campus the library usually closes by evening around 7-8pm and most classrooms/labs shut down by late afterboon the gym indoor sports complex stay open till around 8 pm while the cafeterias and canteen close by 9pm
