Likes

Vibe of the college is good and environment is also nice
Mess food quality is better compared many other colleges.Menu also provides variety
Labs are well equipped and are upto the mark and makes you ready for the job market

Dislikes

Hostel staff is very strict and curfew timings are not good
Sports complex is too small and grounds are also maintained
The college is situated around 70kms far from bhopal

Course Curriculum Overview

They have derived a system called FFCS(fully flexible credit system).With the help of this system you can schedule your own timetable and as well as select your own teachers and when you want to study

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 201000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities starts from your second year of the degree. The companies visiting for placements does hire interns on skill bases and average stipend offered is around 10k to 15k per month

Placement Experience

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placements.The total number of companies visited this year was 820 and 6000 offers were made by the companies. The highest package offered this year was 56 lpa and the average is 8 lpa . The placement percentage of this year is around 92%.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'll be paying 2 lakh fees per year and the scholarship is decided on the basis of your viteee rank during admissions.Based on your viteee ranks fees varies from category 1 to category 5.Ranging from 2 lakhs upto 5 lakhs

Campus Life

The annual fest conducted by the college is called advitya which conducted during the month of January. There are also mini fests conducted for many technical and non technical clubs that are held all over year. There are two libraries in total each situated in two academic blocks. Sports facilities are not that good and grounds and fields are not properly maintained

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are with single beds ,sufficient lighting equipments and sufficient number of fans with individual cupboards and study table and chairs. Meal quality of mess is average but is bearable and helps you to fillup your stomach . Menu also provides variety

Hostel Fee: INR 170000 per year

Admission

I reside in delhi so Vellore Institute of Technology Bhopal was more convenient as compared to other campuses of Vellore Institute of Technology. The process of Admisson in Vellore Institute of Technology starts with a exam called viteee conducted by them .Based on what you score in that exam you are given a viteee rank

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is manageable and each student is assigned a proctor who helps the student out. There are internals along with that mid term exam inations and end term exams .Management is not up to the mark

Night Life

Night life of this is not as exciting as of other colleges. There are strict curfew timings followed for the hostel and the administration is even more strict towards girls. Curfew timings for boys is from 9 pm to 5 am and for girls is 8 pm to 5 am

SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

Placement Experience:

At the end of 2nd year, companies like goldman sachs comes to take interns. For placements students become eligible from 6th or 7th semester. In recent years goldman sachs is the biggest recruiter, oracle and Deloitte have also recruited, other firms like tcs and infosys also come. Giants like Amazon and google have stopped visiting since few years. Last year highest package was 72 lpa to an ece student. Average lies around 8 lpa. In tech branch 70-80% students are placed. In lower branches 50-60% students are placed. My plan is also to get placed at a decent package after completion of course.

LIFE IN MITS-DU

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to get placed and many companies visits every year for placement and approx 60-70% students gets placement every year.As per my knowledge there is no company which has made no offer.Average package is about 6-7 lakhs per annum.My plan is to take good package from on campus placement drive.If I am unable to get this then I will try for off campus placement and I also want to do MTECH after graduating.

Campus Pl start from the 7th semester with good companies visiting for core branches popular recruiters are tafe eichers, CG power, Disa. Cognizant and Infosys for the IT roles also. The average package is up to the 6 LPA. After completing my degree I am planning To join a good company of the mechanical branch which helps me in building my career in the core engineering field.
