An honest review on the life of a hosteler in VIT Bhopal

The curriculum is almost similar to other colleges but the re are certain courses like Vitdhya which is provided by VIT bhopal exclusively which also covers learning GitHub and uploading projects on it which really comes in handy when we look into the real world criteria for good jobs and placements. So overall it is good. It could have been better if the attendance was a bit linient so students could get more time to work upon themselves.

It is a decent college but the curriculum is very strict and you are constantly bounded by the attendance criteria. Also if you opt for boys hostel it is a long walk to the academic block which you have to cover on a daily basis. The facilities in the hostel are pretty decent but lacks a good wifi connection and you often have to use your own mobile data to do daily work on your system.You can opt for this college if you are into studies.

The social life is pretty good. All the festivals celebrated with great joy and amusement. On ganesh chaturthi we had dandiya and garba nights. We also have multiple cultural clubs where each club refers to a certain group such as marathi group, hindi group, bangali group etc and all the groups organise there respective festival events. We also have big events advitya where good singers and performers come to our college to perform like neeti mohan etc and exciting shows like bike stunts and dance shows.

The rooms are well furnished and clean. Each student's gets there own separate and good sized beds along with cupboards, tables and small racks to keep the books and registers. The meal timings are good. We eat at a very good time which also aids the day routine. We have a good menu in our mess. The vegetarian get to eat paneer for 3-4 times in a week atleast and the non vegetarians get to eat non veg and eggs 3-4 times a week. The registration process for the hostels are a cake walk there is nothing much to do after the document submission you just need to report to the hostel get you room keys and submit the hostel slip that is provided by the onboarding team and you will get your room.

I aspired to crack jee but I failed due to lack of practice and preparation when I listened about viteee exam which is vit's exclusive entrance exam. I studied for this exam and secured 18092 rank in viteee after which I decided to take this college. I was also backed by the idea that my friend's sister graduated from this college and gave me a good review about it and I also felt relaxed after getting into the college thatswhy I didn't ran into any other exams or admission processes. The onboarding into this college was a bit hectic cause I had to arrange 13 and 12 documents for my college and hostel admission respectively. Except the document collection rest of the process was an easy task.

Faculty is great and very friendly. You can also choose among the multiple teachers for each subjects which also adds to the flexibility that you get. The teaching style of some teachers is very great and most of the faculty have a friendly behaviour.

Our college is not much to explore during night cause you have to report to your respective blocks and rooms by 9:00 pm so you don't get much to do at night. The gym is just ok to use but we do have a gym which is paid and under development which is great but a little costly.The cafeteria offer a large range of food items which are very delicious and worth the price. There are also small hangout points near the academic block and inside the hostels and specially the special block where students can socialize and eat from the canteens and cafeteria.
