Remarks

Looks from teaching aspect everything is positive in our college. There is a good senior group which suggests you what and how to do. But from infrastructure point of view everything is negative. And the reservation policy is also bringing from fools in such autonomous College.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very good. They teach everything from basics and then go to higher level. Exam structure is like this there are 8 semester in 4 years. In one semester there is 2 minor test which are faculty based. There is one mid semester exam and one end semester exam.

Placement Experience

4

I am a fresher so I do not know much about stipend. But I can tell you that placement and job opportunities are good in CSE, Electronics and Electrical branches. Plus internship is also undertaken by students.

College Events

2

Savyas is the annual celebration of NIT Goa. Here colleges like Goa College of engineering and Indian institute of technology goa, students participate. It has many sports activities too like football, volleyball etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is very low. For economically backward students whose parents income are less than 1 Lakh per annum they get full remmision of their fees. For students whose parents income is better 1 lakh and 5 lakh get two third remission of their fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Look the fee is not very large. So they do not provide any loan facility. But for sc/st students there are some provision of scholarship. But for other than sc/st you have to apply to National Scholarship Portal to get scholarship.

Campus Life

2.5

Yes there are many extracurricular activities. Labs of chemistry, Electronics, computer science and workshop, engineering drawing are done. Sports activities include football, volleyball, handball, cricket etc. Sports activities are very competitive.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes I have opted for hostel facility. My college is in temporary campus so there is no good facilities. But you can live here by doing some adjustments. The mess food is also not upto the mark, especially the chappati.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful. Some alumni are studying abroad and some are doing Mtech from IITs or some research from IISC Bangalore. Seniors here are fine. This is a ragging free campus. So they do not rag the freshers.

Admission

I got admission in NIT Goa, by passing the JEE mains exam which is held every year by NTA is a computer based test of 360 marks. Once you pass the exam then according to ur rank you will get college through Jossa website in 7 round councelling.

Faculty

4.5

All facilities are very good. They hold PHD degree from prestigious IIT, IISC Bangalore,or NITs. They do their job very good. They know how to inculcate knowledge in a student. But they don't teach anything thoroughly you have to understand and read it yourself to be able to know that.

there's practice school option in semester 4 which allows students to go to corporate company and work as an intern, giving students exposure to work experience. this can lead to a FTE placement as well. Maintaining 8+ GPA is very important in getting placed. I plan to get placed and work in AI roles.

Placement Experience:

Students can start sitting in placements from the start of 4th year , when the Placement Division starts bringing companies to the campus. The average package for CS is around 20-26 LPA, for Electrical branches it's around 18-24 LPA and for Mechanical and Chemical it is around 13-16 LPA. These figures would've changed though from the last time I saw. Around 85-90% of the students get placed usually. Top notch companies like Google, Microsoft , DE Shaw, Arcesium Cohesity Rubrick recruit students every year for the tech roles and other prominent companies like Flipkart, Sprinkle, Intuiut and Coin Switch come for managerial roles as well. There is even a chance of getting a PPO through Summer Internship Program which kikstarts in the 3rd year where students compete to get internship in these top companies. Overall , BITS Goa has impeccable placement statistics
