Remarks

This college till now is moderate for me, not too good as NITs or IITs, but not too bad as other lower tier private colleges. Academic wise this college is amazing till now and should remain the same in coming years.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is same as that of other private Universities and is well suited for development of skills of students enrolled. The exam structure contains ST's(Sessional Tests), FA's and ETE's(End term Examinations), the weightage of exams different courses vary, but the bottomline is that there will be an exam for a whole week every upcoming month.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are assured in this University, requiring that you don't have any backlog till the end of course. The average package must be around 3.5-4 lakh only, but a lot of students have got 8-15 lakh and the highest being 32lpa, in the end all depends on individual skills. The internship is provided in start of 6th sem and is usually year long.

College Events

3.5

There is a fest every semester in this college and workshops on different topics are held by the clubs in the college regularly. The fests alternate between cultural and technical, with a cultural fest coming forth in October/November this year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very much feasible if viewed next to other private universities. The fee structure is near to those of NITs, being 70k per sem. and hostel+mess+laundry fees being around 54k per sem.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is the only private college in my knowing that doesn't provide any scholarship on basis of merit, category, or End Term Exam scores. Every student has to pay the same amount, and no particular class is treated special.

Campus Life

3.5

There are a ton of extracurricular activities here, labs are equipped with the required materials. The college has its own startup cell where ideas of students are converted to profit earning companies. Most of the sports are played here, and performing students are also sent for intercollege matches.

Hostel Facilities

3

Being a hosteler, I have got very good company with my roommates. The hostel rooms are spacious and are fully ventilated. There are no AC rooms for males, but cooler easily suffices the need. Facilities provided are daily room cleaning, laundry, RO water via water coolers and fast speed wi-fi. A shop opens up for night owls too at 10:30pm till 1:00am taking care of their stomachs.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors here are extremely helpful, visiting our rooms and telling us about all the rules that have to be followed here. Seniors are also providing study material to those who ask. Till now there is no instance of ragging and I believe there wouldn't be any in future too.

Admission

After scoring less than expected in JEE Mains, I filled counselling form for Chitkara University. On the day of Counselling, my name was called on in the second list of students, who were being selected for admission. In the room, I was asked for the documents, and after verification, I was sent in one another room, where after paying fees of 1st sem, I was admitted in my preferred branch and campus. And hence I became a student of Chitkara University.

Faculty

4

The faculty I've got till now are amazing, all are highly qualified and friendly in nature too. Right now we are being taught from the very basics, which develops the base of those too who didn't take high school studies seriously.

Students become eligible from 7th semester for campus placement but you can apply off-campus if you want. A lot of times off-campus placements are of better amount than on campus placements. Almost out of 400 students present in a year, 100 get very good on campus placements.(Almost above 10 lakhs) 100 get between 5-10 lakhs And rest ho for higher degrees although they get a placement of 4-5 lakhs
