Course Curriculum Overview

5

Basically I chose this course because I just enjoy coding and I really love it doing. Also I think this is a very good opportunity as well as our society is almost running on tech and everything is just going with the modern technology and I'll also be a part of it which I think I chose this course for. As I told that the curriculum is now focusing on improving our all over skills and making the best product i.e students who'll get learn a lot from this curriculum. I think everything is at its best but what I think is they can just go for revising the ongoing faculty like all of them are good at their own but we need a teacher sometimes some times the faculties are not able to breakdown the subject, which I think helps us as we'll get to know the subject more deeply and is more understandable. The difficulty is moderate and they're basically two exams in each semester which is mid sem and end sem exams. We have exams almost every 1.5 months

Internships Opportunities

3

The university provides internships but we have to do work for the university as university have a merchandise store so they want sales person for it so they hire inters from BBA and MBA. For students in Technology field they tie up with companies and provide sometimes paid or also unpaid just to get the experience it depends upon the students skills. The stipend range is from 4000-10000. The offer for technical students are like junior software developer or they will give a project to work upon finding the bugs and loop hole and correcting them.

Placement Experience

2

The placement drive is quite moderate as the students are eligible from they 3rd year for on campus placements. Some companies like TCS, WIPRO and Infosys they came but some academic year they made no offers or if made they holded the joining letters. The highest package was offered by Amazon which was of 32lpa and the lowest are offered by companies like BPO which is one of the small scale companies. Almost 40-50% of students gets placed on an average every. I am planning that I'll try for an off campus placements as I it is tougher but I'll get more benefits and if I may not be able to secure an off campus then I'll go for the on campus as I'll keep trying side by side in my on campus placements drive.

Fees and Financial Aid

In our college the academic fees for students like me who don't get or hold a scholarship in the first year is 210000 in which 45000 you have to pay in advance as for booking your seat which is included in the above-mentioned academic fees if you want to avail hostel facility as well you have to pay 5000 rupees for booking your hostel room. The total fee that you have to pay in the first year is 210000 as the academic fees and ?85000 for single room non AC hostel for single room AC hostel you have to pay 110000 for triple sharing room you have to pay 95000 for ac and for non AC it is 70000. If you have scored a good score in your jee or in your class 12th exams then you will also get scholarship opportunity which is not categorised as if like the more higher the score the more you'll get the scholarship for example if you have scored around 97 percentile in jee and 87 percentage in class 12th then you'll get almost 60-70% scholarship in your academic fees. There's scholarship also for sc/st or obc/gen students if their family income is less than 2 lpa then they'll get around 60-70 thousands in the students bank account. Now about the academics the college provide internships to students in the last of 2nd year for btech students specially and only for the students who score good in their academics and have skills, also the college faculty tries their best for the students to get their placements done on campus they also do tech fests, invits ceo's of companies to introduce their students skills and projects. Moreover it is a private institute but the faculty tries their best and teach the best provides all the required facilities. Also if you want to open your startup they'll also provide you funding upto ?2 crores. Lastly the university is good but I think the fundamentals of teaching can be revised and they should have a talk to improve professor and student relations so that they both can grow at the same time.

Campus Life

5

They're are almost one tech fest every year and one annual fests every year. The names are not specific they change. There are all kind of social, sports and technical clubs but I think they can be improved. The infrastructure is overall I'll say is good as we have ac classes Library and the campus is fulll Greenery and beautiful flowers. There are lots of books with a very wide range and accessibility. The faculties as I mentioned earlier are good on an average and we have large screens in our all the classes which helps us get the learning through 3d visuals which helps in better understanding. The sports and curricular activities are overall fine we have all the faculties, equipments and coaches as well. No there is not such kind of thing like student portals or any social group

Admission

I applied for gl bajaj, kiet and GEHU but I was not able to get gl baja and kiet, GEHU was available for me but the academic fees was too high to afford. I got rejection from gl bajaj, GEU, KIET. Because I was not holding a good score neither in my 12th exams nor in my jee exam which held me back. To get the admission in my university firstly you have to give GLAET which is a exam after which you'll be able to get the admission then you'll get a call from the college office for approving that you're willing for the admission then you have to visit the campus. But you should have atleast 60% in your 12th board exams this is the only cutoff required to get admission. The overall admission experience is overwhelming. On comparing I can say that GLA is far better then most of AKTU colleges as they provide the students their very best to have a successful bright future in any aspect.

Faculty

3

The faculty student ratio will be around 1:15. The relationship between the faculty and student is good but sometimes there are faculties who do not behave well but we have a faculty review kind facility which we can do after our every class which helps us as there is a team who keep monitoring this and get their reviews from the students and facilities as well. The HOD's are very nice a supporting to the student they always try their best for the students to get the best opportunites for our future. The keep revising and improves their criterias. The best among all was our Dean Sir i.e. Ashok Bansali sir who taught me c in my 2nd semester and Amit Srivastava sir who taught me Engineering Maths - I in my 1st semester they both our good professors but they also keep motivating me and my whole class the way of their teaching and communicating with the students supporting was very appreciative. There was a professor namely Vikas sir who taught electronic engineering to our class in 1st semester, he was very rude guy in behaviour, sometimes if we have queries then he yells or leaves the class. Mainly in each semester we have firstly mid sem exams and end sem exams. The difficulty level is always moderate but almost 8-10 students have backlogs in each exams in every class on an average. The course curriculum is changed for now and is focused on improving the coding, problem solving and communication skills. Which I think is very good aim for them and also us.

Night Life

5

The nightlife is very amazing as we all play sports after all the busy schedules. The gym is open till 10 pm, the cafeteria and library is open till 2 am. There's no such rule that you can't hangout in this night there's no such rules even we can do whatever we want do in the except something that is not acceptable like smoking drinking or shouting loudly disturbing others this is under the offence and it is punishable. The hostel and campus in timings are then campus in timings are morning 8 am to night 8 pm you can go for outing the hostel gates are almost open everytime. The famous hangout place is the gd Subway in which we have different facilities like we can get some cheesy food or we can play pool etc

Since curriculum was given by AKTU itself, colleges only has the power to choose elective subjects- Few subjects were my fav and helped me alot in lot's of different scenerios - like EDC,Network Theory and ofc VLSI Design was my fav. For ECE students - university shd mandate Satellite communication and VLSI Technology a compulsory as it's a kind of core subjects and in every PSU as well as govt exams , questions from this subject always been asked by authorities. More faculties staff's are required.

Taking about campous placement of my college so this is not so good like it is almost negligibe . If you want job then you have to fimd it by yourself and you have to apply by yourself to company. sometimes few prof. will help you to apply for some companies but most of the times you have to do it by yourself only. As in other colleges you will be elegible for internships from 2nd year is also the same thing you can start your internship when ever you get it. Almost no company visit here for placement but some time few companies come here for ME and Civil deparment students .the placement percentage is approx 35 to 40 percent. My plans after getting degre is to go for higher studies.
