What Students Say

Likes

It is arguably the best law college of Lucknow.
Where some NLUs are losing its sheen, NLIU Bhopal has rose to the occasion and have met the expectations of law aspirants.
Also many students from other NLUs take transfers here as soon as vacancy comes.

Dislikes

Like other NLUs the crowd here is not that diverse.

Course Curriculum Overview

NLIU is knows for its curriculum as students here go for international moots from 2nd year itself and if they win, the cost is beared by the University. What other motivation one needs to study at such a lovely college.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 270000 per year

Placement Experience

In final year or 9th semester as that is all about placements then. By the end of 9th semester nearly 80% students are placed and since Allahabad High Court which is India's leading court there are many top law firms who most hire students from our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees at NLIU Bhopal is 2.7 lakhs a year. 1.35 lakhs is tuition fees and the rest is hostel fees and the charges. NLUs are residential campus and therefore one has to stay there irrespective of whether they are local students.

Campus Life

All the technical gadgets or devices that a classroom can have we have them all. We also have a two floor library hall and over 500 students can sit over there. Also our hostels don't have ACs but library has so afternoons are mostly spent there. NLIU Bhopal is known for its sporting glory and hence we have our annual sports fest called Virudhala XIV.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are small and only a cot and a cupboard is all we had. However, we have the option of bringing our own furniture and that's a good deal as we have to stay here for 5 years. Meal quality at the mess is slightly below par.

Hostel Fee: INR 81000 per year

Admission

I was rejected or rather not selected by top National Law Universities like NALSAR, NLSIU or NLU Jodhpur as it all depends on your CLAT score. With a rank of 8000, I could only be qualified for lower ranked NLUs. Thus, I am at NLIU which is also an NLU after all.

Faculty

Who can judge them solely on the basis of their degrees and research. I have seen many other sides too as whenever my mind gets struck, I do is go to them and have a warm chit chat and everything starts looking better.

Night Life

We are close to some of the most famous dams of Bhopal like Kerwa Dam, Kaliasot Dam and others. Upper Lake or the Badi Lake is also nearby. For movies and eating we usually go to DB City Mall as it has everything one can ask for.

MPDNLU is a darling college!!

Placement Experience:

It's mostly the lawyers and law firms as arbitrators lawyers and solicitors firm. Also Litigation firms like AZB, Tatava Legal and others too took few students but not many though. Almost from a batch size of 200 students 40 odd got placed through campus.

NMIMS SOL is naturally growing!!

Placement Experience:

Khaitan & Co, The Solicitors and MP High Court Law Firms as most have been hired for MP state firms only. National level law firms and corporate are yet to join hands but once it happens placement percentage which was 60 in 2024-25, will shoot to 80+ and avarage placement which were 6 lakhs will shoot to 12 lakhs a year.

MPDNLU is majestic!!

Placement Experience:

It's mostly the law firms as corporate houses have so far have drench coming to our campus. The reasons are obvious as just three batches have been passed out from her so far and unless a strong alumni network is formed it is impossible to get great placements from our campus.

Placement Experience:

After the 4th year student are eligible for placement but there are no placement opportunities for law student but students to other courses are highly placed with better package and my plans after degree is to take placement off campus but for engineering and agriculture this college brings best companies to their campus for placement purpose

Placement Experience:

Placement cell pf pura is backed by Alumni Network or rather ea very strong alumni network which consists of students working in courts and practicing under top judges and top legal firms like Amarchand and all. So students of our college are invited for mock tests of those firms and those who clears it do get jobs in such firms.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placement from the final year itself. The students are getting opportunities from renowned firms companies and renowned advocates within their firms is well. The number of placement is nearly 100% as most of the students opt out from Placement in order to prepare for Judiciary examination or to get admission for the LLM program. The campus placement drives also includes a mock trial for the students to appear in the placements so that the student could understand and work upon the places of his deficiency. The average package provided by the college is nearly 6 to 7 LPA. The highest package has been of nearly 12 to 13 lpa. Students including me often try to get admission for LLM program or they try to give the Judiciary examination and other government judicial examination rather than opting for placements.

Mostly the exams are held on college but the final exams are held in other colleges in which the centre of the college is given to the students of every batch and of diffrent year. The timing of exmas is relatively for 3 hrs. Two exams are held which are internal and external.

The Best BLIU, Bhopal

The eligibility criteria for the course is the 12th pass from any of the streams. After that student has to appear for the Common Law Admission Test that is CLAT. Through CLAT we can get admission in any of the 22 National Law Universities and some private colleges also take admission on the basis of your clat rank like NIRMA, KPM and Jagran Lake City University, Bhopal and many more colleges.
