Dislikes
- it is non-residential campus for many. It lacks that buzzing college life vibe. After classes, social activities could be more Engaging.
- I fail the college didn’t bring many core companies for placement more students prepare for software roles due to limited core options
- While technical fest organised cultural activities in college fest, unlimited, other colleges have more happening environment in that sense.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would read the ECE course curriculum fairly comprehensive and well structured, specially for the students who want a strong base in electronic and communication. One of the main reason I chose this course was the variety of subjects like digital electronics, analogue, circuits, communication systems, micro processors, control system and SI, which give you an in-depth understanding of both hardware and software aspects. The structure is designed to make academically sound And it is helpful if you plan to go for higher studies gate or research.
Placement Experience
Student from third year onwards, fifth semester onwards, but mainly from 5th to 6 semester students are afford Internship and majority of them are unpaid, but few students who are academically at a higher position receive paid internship by the end of six semester students are eligible for job interview which is offered by training and placement cell of JIIT College training in placement of JIIT College. There are a lot of start-ups which come for placement in JIIT, but they offer really less package and apart from that earlier, they used to be multiple MNCs, which used to come to our colleges, but now there are companies which provide higher packages, but they they less students, and apart from that 70% of the company recruiters so average for the of the yearly Compass student is very average. The highest package that has been achieved by a student of JIIT is 54,00,000 on campus
Fees and Financial Aid
I pursued my BTech in electronics and communication engineering from Jaypee Institute of information technology sector 62, Noida, the course duration was 404 years and the fee structure was fairly consistent across batches with minor yearly hike. In my first year. I paid around 2,85,000, which included two lakh as tuition fees and 60,000 as developmental fees and about 25,000 for admission, registration and other charges, there was also refundable caution. Deposit of 10,000 paid in first year only from the second year onward, the fee was approximately 2,70,000 for covering the tuition development and minor miscellaneous charge so in total IP around 11 to 11.5,00,000 over the entire course excluding hostel Hostel and mess fee
Campus Life
my overall experience with campus life at JIIT, was quite balanced in terms of academics and social environment. The campus host impression, which is our cultural fest, usually held in March and April, where student actively participate in competition, performances and workshops. The library is well stocked with course, books, reference, material journals and access to digital database which is helpful during exams and project. Work classrooms are equipped with projector is AC Wi-Fi and Digital boards, making them modern and take friendly for extra curricular, the college offers decent sports facilities like basketball volleyball, table, tennis and gym area.
Hostel Facilities
The room are clean and furnished with beds, mattresses, study table chair cupboard, and 24×7 electricity and Wi-Fi. Each floor has room, water, cooler, and common rooms with TV or indoor game. The hostels are Ac and laundry services are available while dry cleaning is at extra cost. The food it's decent, but repetitive. The menu includes basic North Indian meals and Chinese meat while sometimes seasonal meals are provided and twice a week curry is provided generally maintain the registration process is done online during admission and the hostel fees is one lakh while the new curriculum has increased hostel fees.
Admission
I choose Jaypee Institute of information and technology, Noida sector 60 2EC offered a good balance of academic discipline, decent placement and approximately to my hometown Aligarh. I had also applied to colleges like UPS Dehradun and I also gave JEE exam which I fairly passed and got few colleges, but it was very far from my hometown, so I chose to live close to my hometown and also Jaypee was providing me well academics Animation and JIIT had strong reputation and more structured environment. I couldn't make it to government top colleges like IITs due to high cut-off and lack of Delhi domicile, the admission process at JIIT was entirely online and based on JEE Main score without any separate entrance exam . I feel like JIIT was the most practical choice. Close to home. Academically focused in with our lab placement record, especially for the students willing to shift towards teck roles.
Faculty
The faculty student ratio is good , about one ratio 30 to 40 , most professors are approachable. I found Dr Nehru Sood, Dr Reena Dadwal and professor Vaishali Gautam to be more effective with clear teaching styles and some lab structure. Clarity specially VLSI. The ECE curriculum is strong in theory but could use more hands on and industry.
Night Life
. The gym and library usually close by 8 PM while cafeteria's and food stall shut down around 730 to 8:30 PM, the hostel in time is 830 for girls and 10 PM for boys And the main campus. G8 is also close by 10 PM.
